The following morning at the Extre Style dojo, the atmosphere was tense.
“Dad, what’s happened to big brother and Robert?”
Sakazaki Yuri, the sister of Sakazaki Ryo, inquired softly to her father Duanmu Huai who was sitting in the dojo, her eyes closed. She ca early in the morning and found that these two were sitting here practicing. But the aura they emitted was so intense that the other Extre Style disciples didn’t even dare to raise their voices—to the ignorant, it seed as if they were preparing for a duel to the death.
“Hmm… Ryo told they have invited a fighter for a duel.”
Sakazaki Takuma, the founder of Extre Style Karate and father of Sakazaki Ryo and Sakazaki Yuri, stroked his chin and spoke.
“A Duel? Dad, are you sure it’s not a grudge? They seem so tense… Just like they’re about to go to war… Is this really okay?”
Watching Sakazaki Ryo and Robert, Sakazaki Yuri spoke softly. After all, these two had been solemn since early morning, not uttering a word or a laugh. Even Robert, who was usually jocular, had a gloomy face. It’s no wonder Sakazaki Yuri was overthinking.
“I find it strange too…”
With regards to his daughter’s words, Sakazaki Takuma also looked puzzled. Sakazaki Ryo had spoken to him last night and left him perplexed. Ryo’s face was so determined that Takuma wasn’t sure if he planned to fight a deadly fight. But Takuma recalled that Ryo and Robert didn’t have any sworn enemies, did they?
“Master! Master!!”
Just then, a disciple stumbled into the dojo with a ghost-white face, falling headfirst onto the ground even before he could stand. Seeing this, Sakazaki Takuma furrowed his brow and reprimanded him.
“What’s the matter? Why do you look so scared?”
“No, it’s not… Soone has co to challenge our dojo. He said he was invited by Master Ryo…”
“I am aware of that. But why are you so frantic? Aren’t you a disciple of Extre Style? Don’t behave so whimsically. Or has he attacked the disciples?”
“No… it’s not like that…”
“I’ll go and see what’s happening. Why are you so panicky?”
Watching the panicking disciple, Sakazaki Takuma was instead filled with curiosity. He had found it strange when Sakazaki Ryo had taken the initiative to invite soone to a fight. And now, seeing his disciple in such a state filled him with curiosity. He wanted to see who it was that had made them so scared.
“No, Master, that man is… too fierce…”
“Just that?”
Upon hearing the disciple’s response, Takuma’s face darkened.
“You scared yourself like this just because of his fierce appearance? How can you grasp the subtleties of Extre Style in this state of anxiety? Rember, we are in the Extre Style…” As Takuma continued to scold his student, he walked out of the dojo and lifted his head. Seeing the tall figure standing not far from him, he couldn’t help but stop speaking and step back.
Is this even a human?
Now, he understood why his disciple was so terrified. Standing there, the man in front of him seed hardly human, more like a vicious Tyrannosaurus Rex. His murderous aura, filled with the sll of blood, spread in all directions.
Judging by his look, one would not be surprised if he was a man-eater!
“Hello, Mr. Sakazaki.”
Duanmu Huai greeted Sakazaki Takuma, with a bow.
“I am Duanmu Huai. I was invited here today for a friendly duel. Please guide .”
“Ah… Oh… Hello, I am the founder of Extre Style Karate, Sakazaki Takuma.”
On hearing Duanmu Huai’s greeting, Sakazaki Takuma was snapped back to reality. He coughed, nodded his head, and walked out of the dojo. His facial expressions gave way, alternately becoming cloudy and sunny. However, Sakazaki Ryo walked up to Duanmu Huai.
“You’re here.”
“I am here. So… shall we begin?”
“Dad… Big brother and Robert won’t be killed by him, will they?”
At this mont, Sakazaki Yuri grasped onto Sakazaki Takuma’s arm, asking in a low voice. The girl’s face turned pale. Just by looking at Duanmu Huai, her legs felt weak… The sense of danger this man gave Yuri was far greater than that of the man who had kidnapped her before. Just looking at his eyes, Sakazaki Yuri felt as though her heart was about to stop.
The thought of her brother dueling with such a terrifying man filled Sakazaki Yuri with fear.

After giving it so thought, Sakazaki Takuma stepped forward.
“I would also like to spar with Mr. Duanmu.”
“Father?”
“Master?”
On hearing Sakazaki Takuma’s proposal, both Sakazaki Ryo and Robert were surprised. Sakazaki Takuma, however, continued to stare at Duanmu Huai, speaking again.
“Why don’t we follow the rules of the Dueling Tournant? Ryo, Robert and I will form a team and we will have a wheel-fight with Mr. Duanmu. How does that sound?”
