Chapter 650: Chapter 482: A Conclusion – 2 Chapter 650: Chapter 482: A Conclusion – 2 Of course, it also led to a hilariously ridiculous misunderstanding.
After Duanmu Huai brought the Angelic Knights over, they were inevitably live-stread by the bored ‘Zhenji Ling’, an unexpected occurrence that exploded across the entire Star Alliance network. Especially dumbstruck were the believers of Western religions, hailing it as divine intervention.
For a ti, religious forces in the Star Alliance couldn’t help but ride this wave, and even many religious scholars and extraterrestrial experts began to study the “Origin of God.” There had always been so who suggested that God might be an alien, but at that ti, people considered it a ludicrous tale. However, now that the Tribunal, Church, and Angels have all co together, this previously absurd theory suddenly seems a whole lot more reliable!
After all, during the ti Zhenji Ling was live-streaming, the Tribunal’s reputation gradually grew within the Star Union, who planned to reclaim the Human Empire’s legitimacy and therefore widely propagated information about the Tribunal.
Well… how should one put it? Duanmu Huai can understand Li Longcheng’s rationale. It’s like back in the Three Kingdoms Period when Liu Bei, a re seller of straw sandals, declared himself as the King of Zhongshan; whether it was true or false, it was a banner to rally behind.
Chinese people can easily understand this mindset as similar situations are aplenty.
For example, the phrase “Rejoice in Great Chu, King Chen Sheng.”
Or the saying, “Do not underestimate the one-eyed stone man, for it could turn the world upside down.”
And, of course, the well-known “Anti-Qing to restore the Ming.”
The most famous one is probably “Mandated by Heaven, he shall live long and prosper.”
In the current narratives within the Star Alliance, Duanmu Huai’s Tribunal holds a similar position — the Star Union originated from the Human Empire, and the Tribunal is the highest authority of the Human Empire. Now that the Tribunal is cooperating with the Star Union, this symbolizes that the Star Union has inherited the legitimate lineage of the Human Empire!
And as the rightful lineage of the Human Empire, it’s not about expansion and conquest; it’s about reclaiming our ancestral lands! It was destined to happen! There is no yours or mine, these have always belonged to our ancestors! Is there a problem with us reclaiming what rightfully belonged to our ancestors? If we don’t reclaim our lost lands, how can we honour our ancestors and the Emperor?
See, it all makes sense, no problem at all.
Because of this, the Star Union has gained so understanding of the Tribunal.
This sparked many theories among scholars of the Star Union.
For instance… The God of olden tis, could he be soone from the Tribunal? And those Angels sure look like the Tribunal’s staff! Does this an that there were mbers of the Tribunal assisting them in the Star Union back then?
Of course, Duanmu Huai considered these theories as jokes…
Nevertheless, this has removed many peoples’ doubts and suspicions about the Tribunal to so extent, making it a positive outco overall.
“Knock, knock, knock.”
Just as Duanmu Huai was bored and taking a nap, a knock at the door resounded, causing Duanmu Huai to sit up and tidy his clothes.
“Co in.”
Soon, the hatch swung open and in walked a unique-looking girl with spiralling sideburns.
“Lumiaire, what can I do for you?”
Seeing Lumiaire didn’t surprise Duanmu Huai, as she was an electronic warfare expert he had snatched from another galaxy. Although due to her specialty, Lumiaire was usually stationed on the warship rather than sent into combat. However, that didn’t an she was left idle. On the contrary, she was very busy.
One of her tasks was to search for and investigate all classified information on the networks of the Star Union and Shenbao Council. If she found any traces resembling a Cult invasion, she was to report them to Duanmu imdiately.
Lumiaire wasn’t clear about the nature of these threats, and Duanmu didn’t explain in detail, but he did give her a list. If she noticed anything similar to the items on that list, she was to report it right away.
Now that Lumiaire was seeking him out… Could those guys already be causing trouble?
“Yes, Judge, I’ve discovered so issues,” Lumiaire said as she opened her terminal. Soon after, Duanmu saw several pieces of information appear before him.
As expected, much of it was intelligence. So reports ntioned a foreign alien Cult — supposedly, stories of the world’s end were spreading amongst the Shenbao Council. But Duanmu rely glanced at it and dismissed it. There must be hundreds of these idiotic cults of different races. If one of them started propagating the words of the Thunder Warhamr, Duanmu would have already dashed over with it.
None could stop him.
The next piece of intel was about a strange disease appearing on so colonial planets. This was common enough, as each planet’s ecosystem differed. Thus, the bacteria were distinct, and many colonies were afflicted with planet-specific ailnts. This was essentially a stellar version of not acclimating to a different environnt. Nevertheless, as of now, all remained manageable and nothing was out of the ordinary.
However, the very last bit of information did pique Duanmu Huai’s interest.
In simple terms, it was a research report stating that the Shenbao Council’s scientists asured an unidentified particle or sothing similar, only to find that it did not conform to scientific laws. The current debate is whether this discrepancy was due to an instrunt error or a mistake in their theory.
