Chapter 902: Chapter 635: Underground Labyrinth Chapter 902: Chapter 635: Underground Labyrinth Just as Duanmu Huai had anticipated, after summoning Gavi, the journey indeed beca much livelier.

“I certainly don’t want to do as you say!”

“I’m not your puppet!”

“Don’t think I’m scared of you!!”

Gavi kept causing a commotion, but Ogis largely ignored Gavi’s rebellion and only demonstrated her “love” for Gavi through actions.

So, for the following few days, Gavi was consistently energetic enough to quarrel with Ogis until Ogis knocked her down, then she would obediently wimp out to recuperate, waiting for the second round to fight again.

It must be said that doing this in the dark underground tunnels was extrely dangerous. Gavi’s screaming did indeed attract nurous underground monsters looking to hunt, but these monsters were obviously no match for the trio—even Gavi could slice the underground lizards that pounced from behind into pieces while still arguing with Ogis.

By the way, Gavi’s fighting style was different from Ogis’—Ogis was adept at controlling threads and puppets, whereas Gavi preferred using weapons. Often she seed more like an assassin, liking to pounce forward and pierce the enemy’s body with the sharp blades in her hands, relishing the prey’s struggle before death,

“How long do we have to walk in this damned place.”

Unlike Ogis, Gavi was also unwilling to obey every command of Duanmu Huai. She hated the Dark Region and detested these endless tunnels even more.

“Honestly, I don’t like this place at all.”

“Then do you have any places you do like?”

Duanmu Huai, carrying the War Hamr in front, turned to Gavi to ask. He wasn’t familiar with Gavi, and his understanding of her was limited to her background and her personality, which seed much more volatile than Ogis’ calm deanor—in truth, Duanmu Huai felt that Gavi actually seed more human than Ogis.

“I…….”

Facing Duanmu Huai’s question, Gavi fell silent for a mont.

“Anyway, I don’t like this kind of place, it’s dark, dreary, and cramped, like a giant box.”

“Then you’ll just have to try and overco it.”

“You might as well just seal up again.”

“Hehehe, Ogis seems quite fond of you, so let’s leave it at that.”

Duanmu Huai and Gavi exchanged a few words before he continued walking forward, and Gavi, feeling helpless, glanced at Ogis sitting on Duanmu Huai’s shoulder, watching her, sighed, and lowered her head to follow.

Strictly speaking, Gavi’s complaints were not unfounded. The Dark Region was a completely different scene from the surface. On the surface, once you leave the city, you can see beautiful forests, rivers, streams, valleys, blue skies, and white clouds. But underground, what awaits you is only endless tunnels that seem to have no end at all, no matter how long you walk, they seem to never change.

In the beginning, you might be able to persist, but soon, you’d find it as monotonous and despair-inducing as driving on a highway with its repetitive and dangerous oppressive dark atmosphere. All these could drive a person mad. So for Duanmu Huai, Gavi’s noise at tis could relieve so of the boredom.

It’s like listening to the radio while driving, you may not need to listen carefully to the content, but having a voice is always better.

“Honestly, I don’t understand at all what you’re doing here.”

Gavi trudged along behind Duanmu Huai, constantly muttering under her breath. Perhaps because of her background, she was much more hot-tempered than Ogis.

“This godforsaken place has nothing but so damned monsters.”

“We’re here to eliminate those damned monsters, and I need them.”

“Then you could’ve gone to the surface or sowhere else, rather than ssing around down here.”

Gavi snorted coldly, her status now was that of a captive and a slave—although Ogis called her sister, Gavi had never heard of a sister who had to carry luggage, make beds, and brew tea for her older sister.

“I have my purposes—oh, here we are.”

Upon reaching this point, Duanmu Huai stopped walking. Gavi looked up and saw that he was standing in front of a stone door—a massive door that blocked the entire passageway, with intricate and exotic carvings on it.

“What is this?”

Gavi asked with a frown, seeing a man-made door at the natural end of the tunnel was not a good sign.

“The entrance to the Underground Labyrinth.”

Duanmu Huai explained to Ogis and Gavi.

“Long ago, there was a mage nad Haer Falson in this city who explored the Dark Region with his apprentices and never returned. Following that, this Underground Labyrinth appeared. Only by passing through it can we truly enter the Dark Region.”

“Wait, what do you an by really entering? We’ve been wandering around this damned place for days, haven’t we?”

Upon hearing this, Gavi’s expression subtly changed.

“Hehehe, this is only the edge of the Dark Region. Trust , this underground world is as vast as the surface world, if not vaster.”

“……”

Gavi rolled her eyes in despair.

“Was this made by that Mage?”

Ogis tilted her head, curiously examining the large gate before her.

“It might be, or it might not be, but the people of Deepwater City can only truly enter the Dark Region by passing through this labyrinth. And what’s magical is, no matter which path you choose, its gate will appear before you, as if there are countless gates, each appearing in one passage.”

Duanmu Huai spread his hands, this Underground Labyrinth is one of the mysteries in the ga that players hardly ever resolved, and even the players aren’t clear about the significance of the existence of this labyrinth. They just push the door open to go in, then fight their way to the end, then push another door to go out, and then they enter the Dark Region.

So players claim it’s actually a loading technique used by the ga company, automatically loading the map of the Dark Region while the players hustle through the complex Underground Labyrinth. However, other players speculate that the Underground Labyrinth actually hides a big secret—a secret not yet discovered by anyone.

While the latter’s conjecture makes sense, most people do not take it seriously. After all, with so many players in this ga, any hidden secret within it would spread to players around the world within a week once discovered. And so far, no one has managed to unveil any secrets of the Underground Labyrinth.

But the problem is…

“What’s in the Underground Labyrinth?”

Gavi noticed Duanmu Huai’s brief pause, which was unusual.

“Inside, you’ll encounter the enemies you least want to et.”

Duanmu Huai sighed with resignation.

“Simply put, the Underground Labyrinth is more like an illusionary labyrinth. Once you enter, it automatically generates the toughest enemies from your mories. So you have only two choices: back down, knowing the difficulty, or fight to the death.”

“I don’t rember having any toughest enemies,” Gavi said, frowning and looking towards Ogis, who shook her head.

“The problem lies with … well, I’ve pretty much guessed what’s inside, but it doesn’t matter.”

Duanmu Huai gripped his War Hamr tightly, swung it around, then pushed open the gate of the Underground Labyrinth and walked in.

The scenery inside the Underground Labyrinth was completely different from the outside.

A barren desert stretched as far as the eye could see, with raging winds and flying sand and gravel causing Ogis and Gavi to struggle to co to terms with it, while Duanmu Huai frowned upon seeing this scene, then he signaled for Ogis to get off him and gripped his War Hamr tightly.

“This is my war, you two stay out of it—you can’t get involved anyway.”

“Wait, where is this? What are you doing? Who is our enemy?”

“This is a fringe planet in the Kadiaz Galaxy, and our enemy is…”

“Dong… Dong… Dong…”

Heavy footsteps resonated, then, Ogis and Gavi saw several enormous figures erge from the sandstorm ahead, dressed in Armor similar to Duanmu Huai’s, all black with golden edges. They held Bomb Guns in their hands, and their shoulders bore the marking of an Eye surrounded by radiant light.

Oddly, even though their Armor looked similar, there were also differences. Perhaps it was a matter of temperant or sothing else, but these Black Soldiers looked like a looming tidal wave, whereas Duanmu Huai seed more like a massive, unyielding rock facing the onslaught, unwavering and resolute.

Just their presence brought an unusual sense of oppression, and Duanmu Huai fearlessly confronted his enemies, without a hint of retreat. He held the War Hamr, and the eagle and skull emblems on his body shone brightly. Facing the glare of the dark warriors, Duanmu Huai stepped forward and glared back at his foes.

And as these black-clad warriors gazed at Duanmu Huai, they raised their weapons high and roared.

“We have returned! To slay the Fake Emperor!”

“Foolish Traitors!”

Duanmu Huai tightened his grip on the War Hamr and swung it forward, pointing straight at the opposition.

“All you do is aningless, what you gain will only be failure, Abaddon’s failure is your only destiny! Dogs of Chaos! You will taste destruction and death here! Even if these are but false illusions, I will make you feel the wrath of the Tribunal and how it is not to be trifounded with! For the Tribunal, for Humans! Die, scum!!”

The next mont, with a roar, Duanmu Huai gripped his War Hamr and charged towards the Black Soldiers before him.
