Hearing Huo Xing’Er’s words and receiving her help to take deep breaths, Old Lady Ji finally regained her composure.

Ji Youran reached out to remove the mud from the little Emperor’s mouth, then Ji Youzhi held the little Emperor upside down and patted him on the back. It took quite a while before the little Emperor spat out a mouthful of water.

With that said, he scooped up a ladleful of water and poured it directly over the little Emperor’s head.
Luckily, it was not yet the Double Ninth Festival. The weather in the north varied greatly between day and night, so it was a bit chilly at that ti. Fortunately, the Ji Mansion had enough manpower, and the water was heated up quickly, allowing the little Emperor to promptly have a hot bath.

The little Emperor was struck speechless and ground his teeth in irritation. "Youzhi earned rit by saving . Na your reward."
It was so frustrating! To think that he, the dignified ruler of a country, was being so thoroughly manipulated by a rebellious subject.
"Saving you is my duty. It’s fortunate you weren’t seriously injured today. If anything had happened to you, my Ji Family would likely face extermination. Your not blaming us for today’s incident is the greatest grace to my Ji Family. However, there is one thing I need to make clear to you." Ji Youzhi poured another ladleful of water for the little Emperor, then one for himself, and continued.
The little Emperor gave him a side-eye. "What is it?"
Ji Youzhi wiped his face with a towel before speaking. "Yes, I was the one who pulled you out of the Lotus Pond today. However, the person who found you underwater and held on to you tightly was Third Miss Xie from the Xie Family!"
Hearing this, the little Emperor was stunned, subconsciously touching his lips. His face grew a bit flushed, and his heart pounded fiercely.
"She also contributed to saving you. If you really want to give a reward, consider rewarding her!"
At Ji Youzhi’s words, the little Emperor fell into contemplation.
While the little Emperor was bathing on one side, Xie Pan’Er was also bathing on the other. Two little maids arranged by Zhu Xiuxiu were beside her.
