Seeing the little girl’s excited expression, Huo Xing’Er’s eyelids twitched, and she quickly looked at her.

The little girl rolled over on the bed and was about to run outside.

Huo Xing’Er quickly reached out and grabbed the collar of her dress. "Where do you think you’re going?"

"I’m going to find Aunt Zhou."

"What for?"

"I want Brother Yanchen’s hair and blood!"

She rembered last ti, when she was almost buried alive by Grandma, Ah Ling had said that if they weren’t blood relatives, using the other person’s blood or hair could allow one to enter their dreams.

"What did you say?"

Huo Xing’Er’s eyes widened in disbelief, and she hurriedly asked, "What do you need these things for?"

Xiaosuisui replied without hesitation, "To find little brother! I can enter his dreams and ask him where he is. This way, we can find him quickly."

Huo Xing’Er’s mouth hung open. It took her a long mont to react. By the ti she did, the little girl had already run out.

"Suisui, wait!"

Huo Xing’Er quickly got up to chase after her. She recalled a past incident: her mother had managed to reach the mass grave just in ti. Reportedly, this was because the little girl had called out to her mother in a dream, urging her to go to the mass grave and save her.

Huo Xing’Er hadn’t been present at the ti and had only heard about the incident later.

She hadn’t expected the young Xiaosuisui to possess such an ability. No wonder her learning of the Celestial Observation Technique was so fast; she was just short of opening the Heavenly Eye.

Huo Xing’Er snapped back to her senses and hurriedly chased after the little girl, catching her by the collar, only to run into Ji Youzhi, who had just rushed back from the Governnt Office.

"Sister-in-law, where are you rushing off to in such a hurry?"

Upon seeing Ji Youzhi, Huo Xing’Er quickly told him about Zhou Yanchen’s disappearance.

Ji Youzhi didn’t even bother to go ho first and hurriedly asked where the Zhou Family lived.

He wanted to investigate the scene.

Huo Xing’Er didn’t know the Zhou Family’s address, but Xiaosuisui did. The little girl imdiately hugged Uncle Ji’s leg.

"I know! I’ll take Uncle Ji there!"

Ji Youzhi frowned. He was going to investigate a case; why would he bring a toddler along?

"Suisui, be good! Just tell Uncle Ji where they live, and Uncle Ji will go by himself."

Xiaosuisui clung to Ji Youzhi’s leg and wouldn’t let go, shaking her little head vigorously. "No, no! Suisui wants to go herself! Uncle Ji, please let go!"

Ji Youzhi was speechless. He actually couldn’t bear to refuse her!

"Alright, let go. Uncle Ji will take you!"

Xiaosuisui, feeling content, was picked up and held by Uncle Ji. Then...

WHOOSH! Uncle Ji leaped onto a large tree!

Then, WHOOSH! Uncle Ji landed on the ground. In the blink of an eye, the uncle and niece had traveled a great distance, arriving at Zhou Yanchen’s ho in no ti.

The Zhou Family’s main gate was still locked.

The courtyard wall had been knocked down by a wild boar the previous day.

"We’re here, Uncle Ji! This is Brother Yanchen’s ho!"

"Do only a mother and son live here?"

Xiaosuisui nodded. "Yep!"

"No one’s ho. It seems we’ve co for nothing."

After saying this, Ji Youzhi began to investigate the courtyard.

The little girl ran to the main gate of Zhou Yanchen’s house, reached out to touch the small lock on it, and sohow, with a CLICK, the lock sprang open.

The little girl tilted her head, looked at the lock, and then pushed the door open.

Ji Youzhi turned his head to look at her, puzzled.

"How did the door open by itself? Could it be that the Zhou Family hadn’t locked their door properly?"

Ji Youzhi didn’t dwell on it. After inspecting the courtyard, he followed her into the house to investigate.

Zhou Yanchen and his mother’s ho could truly be described as having nothing but four bare walls; they were poorer than poor.

However, they had quite a few books. He picked one up and flipped it open; the handwriting inside was crooked and ssy, but every character was correct.

It looked like a textbook handwritten by the boy, Zhou Yanchen, himself.

Ji Youzhi was so engrossed in the investigation that he didn’t notice the little girl take a strand of hair from a dog-eared, wrinkled book.
