After Wangkong left Suisui’s courtyard yesterday, he imdiately went to report the matter to the Abbot.
The Abbot was shocked when he heard this and promptly reported the matter to the highest authority in Qixia Temple, Master Le Kong!
"Amitabha! Wangkong, bring the child here imdiately. Let see her!"
The authoritative voice of the old monk echoed from his ditation chamber. Wangkong did not dare to delay and promptly responded, "Yes!"
He then turned and descended the stairs.
"The Yunhang calamity has inflicted suffering upon the common folk, resulting in their displacent. All the monks in our temple who have yet to sever worldly ties should go down the mountain and experience the mortal world!"
"Yes! I have already prepared the list and will arrange it promptly."
"I recall, Wangkong’s journey in the mortal world—it’s been thirteen years since then, hasn’t it?"
Old Monk Liao Kong’s voice carried a solemnity tinged with regret.
"Yes! You are correct. Junior Brother Wangkong, during his travels, saw many suffering and displaced common folk, which stirred up his karmic obscurations. To this day, he has not rid himself of them. As a result, he now holds the position of monastery supervisor, managing the temple’s affairs to cultivate his Buddha nature. However, he has been unable to eliminate his karmic obscurations and attain the Supre Dharma. Therefore, he cannot truly convert to Buddhism."
This ant that Wangkong was originally a very spiritual monk in the temple. However, fifteen years ago, when war broke out again, Qixia Temple dispatched monks to wander and experience the mortal world.
Wangkong went to the border between Great Han and Xiling and witnessed many displaced people. They suffered countless casualties while fleeing and, at the sa ti, encountered famine. The National Treasury had no funds for disaster relief, and rchants raised grain prices, hoarding goods and refusing to sell, which led to countless deaths from starvation among the victims.
After two years of wandering, Wangkong developed a Heart Demon and beca excessively desirous of wealth. Money beca the most important thing to him, and he almost abandoned Buddhism as a result.
Fortunately, Liao Kong appeared in ti and forcibly purified his soul with the Supre Dharma. However, the effect was not ideal. Wangkong did not give up his Buddhist practice but developed a karmic obstruction related to wealth accumulation. As a result, Master Liao Kong changed his original Dharma na, Mingjue, to Wangkong.
He was made the monastery supervisor and put in charge of mundane affairs as a ans of tempering him. However, the effect was minimal!
"Add his na to the list for this period of experiential training!"
The Abbot was startled by this but ultimately responded, "Yes!"
After settling the matter of the experiential training, the Abbot and Liao Kong waited for a long ti, but Wangkong still hadn’t returned. The Abbot then murmured to himself, "It’s been so long, why hasn’t Wangkong returned yet?"
Liao Kong then said, "Enough! I will go there personally!"
The Abbot, hearing this, abruptly lifted his gaze to find that the door to the ditation chamber had opened by itself, and the bearded Master Le Kong was already rising from his ditation cushion.
"Amitabha! Master Le Kong, you haven’t left the Mingwu Building for many years."
The Abbot watched as Old Monk Liao Kong exited his ditation chamber. In the blink of an eye, he was already gone!
Amitabha, Master Le Kong’s Buddhist Dharma is ever more profound and unfathomable.
In the courtyard where the Ji family resided, Zhu Xiuxiu and Ji Youcheng were discussing Xiaosuisui’s affairs. Perhaps they were too engrossed in their conversation, or perhaps their Power was insufficient, but not far from them, a white-bearded old monk stood, openly listening to their every word.
"I think I understand what you an," Ji Youcheng said. "You’re saying that whatever Suisui says will co true. So, the reason I lost my gold box, and my cargo ship encountered a tornado, is because Suisui said at the ti, ’Let have no money, then I won’t be able to be so fixated on it’?"
Ji Youcheng stood there, processing Zhu Xiuxiu’s words for the better part of an hour before he finally sorted it out. Cold sweat started to bead on his back!
