Captain Wang was even more irritable. "These damned child abductors! They’re making lose several tis more hair than usual. When I catch them, I’ll definitely skin them and pull out their tendons!"
Huo Xing’Er stopped and silently glanced at Captain Wang. What did the little girl say back in the Mountain Cave?Right, it seed he was about to lose it all!
When they t up with Ji Youzhi, the little girl was enjoying a fragrant dinner, her mouth sared with oil.
"Eat slowly, no one is snatching it from you!" Huo Xing’Er gently wiped the girl’s mouth.
The little girl looked up, grinned at Huo Xing’Er, and chirped, "Xiangxiang, Second Aunt, eat!" Her eyes curved into happy crescents.
Huo Xing’Er dotingly stroked her small head. "Alright! Second Aunt will eat too."
After eating, the little girl fell asleep before she could wash up. Huo Xing’Er felt helpless; she didn’t have the heart to wake her for a bath, so she just wiped her down with warm water. Then she sat cross-legged beside her, watching over her.
In fact, the little girl wasn’t truly asleep; she had entered her Dream Space.
"Ah Ling, can we start now?"
Ah Ling looked at the few strands of hair before her, sowhat troubled. "Master, these hairs obviously don’t belong to the sa person!"
Xiaosuisui poked her little head out of the Lotus Pond. Every ti she entered, she had to swim a lap in it. Did she think she was a little fish?
"What should I do then? I don’t know which strand of hair is Brother Yanchen’s." Xiaosuisui was quite disheartened.
"Do you still want to pull the person in?"
Xiaosuisui tilted her head, thinking. "If we don’t pull him in, we won’t know where Brother Yanchen is."
"What if the person you pull in isn’t your Brother Yanchen?"
"Then we’ll ask that person where Brother Yanchen is!"
"Alright." Ah Ling had accepted Xiaosuisui as her master, so naturally, she wouldn’t go against her wishes. "Master, please prepare. Ah Ling is going to pull the person in now."
"I’m ready, Ah Ling. I’ll hide in the Lotus Pond. If the person who cos in isn’t Brother Yanchen, I won’t co out. I’ll only co out if it’s Brother Yanchen."
The little girl didn’t quite understand her own thoughts; she simply didn’t want to et anyone she didn’t know. This was likely related to Old Granny Li keeping her locked up at ho for years. She was afraid of eting strangers alone. The last ti she’d clamored to go to the Zhou Family’s ho, it was because her Third Aunt was with her. Moreover, she instinctively wanted to visit the family that had willingly given her delicious duck at to eat.
"Where is this?"
A tender, childish voice sounded, and the little girl, hiding in the Lotus Pond, froze.
It wasn’t her Brother Yanchen!
The little girl hid beneath the lotus leaves, peeking her small head out to look.
The person Ah Ling had pulled in was a little boy, as exquisitely carved as jade. He was about her age and wore very fine clothes.
"Who are you?" Seeing that the person who had entered was indeed not Zhou Yanchen, Ah Ling floated in the air and demanded.
Huh! How can soone fly in the air? The little boy who had entered tilted his head, muttering to himself in confusion. He stared with great curiosity at the plump, doll-like child floating in the air. "You can actually fly! Are you an immortal?"
The little fellow who had co in mistook Ah Ling for an immortal.
"That’s right, I am an immortal. You have to call Immortal Sister, understand?" Ah Ling chid in quickly.
An older child wouldn’t have believed such words, but alas, the one pulled in was a little tyke not yet five years old.
"Great Immortal, my na is Fu Xian, and I’m from Capital City. Great Immortal, where is this place? How can I get ho?"
Xiaosuisui peeked out quietly from beneath a lotus leaf. So he’s the Fu Xian that Seventh Uncle ntioned?
"This is the Taixu Illusory Realm, the place where my Master cultivates. You were summoned here this ti solely to ask you: where did those child abductors take you?"
