The mont she saw Xiaosuisui’s expression, she knew the little girl had definitely gotten up to so mischief while she wasn’t looking.
"Don’t be scared, sweetie. What were you doing just now?"
Xiaosuisui pursed her lips, timidly pointing at the small mirror her Second Aunt was holding.
"I... I was just copying my Second Aunt, and I sort of... gestured at the little mirror like she did, just for a tiny mont."
Her voice was small and childlike, trembling uncontrollably with fear.
Huo Xing’Er had just recovered from her initial shock, only to be plunged into an even greater one.

Huo Xing’Er was speechless. The Sky Calculating Mirror, one of the ten great Daoist magical treasures, and she wants to *play* with it?
"Go ahead and play with it! Just be careful not to break it."
As if compelled by so unseen force, Huo Xing’Er heard herself casually agree. The mont the words left her mouth, she wanted to slap herself twice. She had just handed one of the top ten magical treasures to a little brat to play with!

Xiaosuisui blinked, then hurriedly pulled the small mirror from her mouth. A row of tiny teeth marks now indented the gleaming golden surface.
Seeing this, Huo Xing’Er felt her world crumble. She stared, unable to even blink.

She pointed at Xiaosuisui, unable to utter a complete sentence.

Wiping the drool off the small mirror, Xiaosuisui looked utterly innocent. Her Grandma, every ti she received the wages her Second Uncle brought ho, would happily put a coin in her mouth and bite it, overjoyed.

Ji Youzhi inford them of the situation, and then they ca to knock on the door of Huo Xing’Er and Xiaosuisui’s room.
Seeing Huo Xing’Er’s look of utter despair, Wang Dongxue asked in confusion, "Second Sister-in-law, what’s wrong? Didn’t you sleep well last night?"
Huo Xing’Er forced a wry smile. "Eldest Sister-in-law, if you had to stay alone with Xiaosuisui for a few days, I reckon you’d end up looking like this too."
Wang Dongxue raised an eyebrow. "What’s the matter? Is she a restless sleeper?"
She hadn’t heard anything of the sort!
Xiaosuisui had been with their family for over a month, and no one had ever ntioned her being a restless sleeper.
"Eldest Aunt!"
Just as Wang Dongxue was pondering this, she heard the little girl’s sweet and soft voice.
Wang Dongxue quickly reached out and swept Xiaosuisui into her arms.
"Oh, my dear Xiaosuisui, my sweet girl! You’re awake! Quickly wash your face, and Eldest Aunt will take you for breakfast."
Xiaosuisui happily agreed. After quickly washing up, she took Wang Dongxue’s hand and skipped downstairs for breakfast, bouncing with excitent.
Huo Xing’Er was left speechless.
"Second Sister-in-law!"
Ji Youyuan’s voice ca from beside her.
Huo Xing’Er snapped back to her senses and quickly greeted him, "Eldest Brother!"
"I’ve already heard about the situation here from Seventh Brother, and I have a general idea of what happened. I ca to ask for your help with sothing."
"Eldest Brother, are you asking to divine the nearest auspicious date according to the Celestial Dao?"
Ji Youyuan nodded. "Exactly. I know that divining an auspicious date by the Celestial Dao requires communicating with Heaven and Earth, which you might not be able to do on short notice.
