The sight of Li Yanyan climbing onto Da Feng’s back was noticed by Xie Pan’Er, who was out to change water after listlessly tidying up. Unable to help herself, she cried out a warning, "Miss Li! Don’t touch Da Feng, it will lose its temper."

Li Yanyan paid no attention to Xie Pan’Er. In her eyes, Xie Pan’Er and Li Suisui were on the sa team. They were both people she despised. They were all envious of her, couldn’t stand to see her doing well, and thus were trying to keep her away from Da Feng. Why is it that Da Feng, whom I summoned, ended up carrying Li Suisui, that harbinger of misfortune, instead of ? Even Xie Pan’Er, a servant, has been allowed to ride on its back, so why haven’t I even been allowed to touch it?

Filled with these thoughts, Li Yanyan angrily spewed at Xie Pan’Er, "What right do you, a lowly servant, have to talk to ? Get lost!"

Once she climbed onto Da Feng’s back, Li Yanyan pointed at Xie Pan’Er, berating her as a lowly servant. This outburst deeply angered Xie Pan’Er.

Overhearing this exchange from underneath an old locust tree, the Emperor frowned. His eyes narrowed slightly as he turned and walked towards where Da Feng was resting. However, before he could say anything, he heard Li Yanyan asking Da Feng, "Are you called Da Feng? I was the one who summoned you in the Imperial Palace, so you should acknowledge as your master. I am your master! Take flying right away!"

Upon hearing this, Xie Pan’Er was stunned for a mont, her lips twitching involuntarily. This girl really has no self-awareness whatsoever!

The Emperor sneered. What audacity this girl has to claim she summoned the Divine Bird Phoenix! Such blatant, shaless lying!

At this mont, in the eyes of both the Emperor and Xie Pan’Er, Li Yanyan was inevitably compared to Xiaosuisui. Xiaosuisui would never be so rude. Xiaosuisui can truly summon the Phoenix, yet she never boasts so excessively! Xiaosuisui is much cuter than her... and so on.

While the National Master and Xie Pan’Er were absorbed in such thoughts, Li Yanyan, having called out to Da Feng a few tis with no response, foolishly began to slap its back several tis.

Da Feng had been resting, already deep in sleep, when an unfamiliar person suddenly awoke it. Its sleep disturbed, it instantly beca enraged. A cold light flashed in Da Feng’s eyes. It let out a harsh cry before suddenly rising into the sky. After a few shakes in midair, its body began to tilt sharply, and the sudden movent sent Li Yanyan sprawling off its back!

At once, Li Yanyan began to scream, "Help...!" She was in freefall. A mont later, she landed heavily on the ground.

Stunned by the sudden turn of events, Xie Pan’Er and the Emperor could only watch in dumbfounded silence as Li Yanyan plumted from the sky. A flash of white light suddenly erupted from the side, catching Li Yanyan just when she was half a foot from the ground.

"Ah... help... Master... Master!"

Having been saved, Li Yanyan was scared out of her wits. It wasn’t until the National Master picked her up from the ground that she noticed her clothes were completely soaked. Her beautiful dress, in particular, was tainted with the vile scent of urine, which made the National Master frown deeply.

"Th-Thank you, Master, for... for saving your disciple!"

With great reluctance, the National Master put her down and said, "You might want to find a fresh set of clothes! Da Feng is the Divine Bird Phoenix and possesses its own sentience. Avoid provoking it in the future!"

The National Master sighed inwardly. A Phoenix is not just any ordinary mount – not just anyone can ride it. Even though I am the National Master, I’m well aware of my own limitations. My power is even marginally weaker than Huo Xing’Er’s. There’s no way I could force the Divine Bird Phoenix! However, this young disciple, though not old in years, possesses incredible audacity, daring to provoke it!

"Master! This Disciple is unclear about sothing!" Li Yanyan suddenly broke into tears, appearing deeply wronged. She stood before the National Master, tears streaming down her face as she looked up at him.

The National Master’s heart softened, and he asked, "What is it you don’t understand?"

"The Divine Bird Phoenix was clearly summoned by , so why won’t it listen to ? Instead, it listens to Li Suisui, that jinx..."

"Hmm?" Li Yanyan’s words were abruptly interrupted by the National Master’s "Hmm?" It carried a hint of warning, and his sharp gaze simultaneously exerted pressure on her not to speak nonsense.

"I... it... it was indeed summoned by , so why wouldn’t it listen to , but instead listen to that Li Suisui? Master! You must help . I must make the Divine Bird Phoenix recognize that I am its Master!"

When Li Yanyan said these words, both Xie Pan’Er and the Emperor were taken aback, their mouths agape, wide enough to fit a whole egg.

"Enough! I see you have been blinded by rumors and empty titles from the outside world! For whom did the Divine Bird Phoenix co? Why did it co? All this has nothing to do with you! Go back and copy texts for your Master!"

The Emperor and Xie Pan’Er were shocked by the National Master’s roar at Li Yanyan. They blinked, montarily speechless, utterly baffled.

"What happened?" Ji Youzhi, yawning, ca out from the house, asking in confusion.

"Seventh Prince! You’re awake!"

Ji Youzhi nodded, humming in acknowledgnt. "I just heard the loud call of the Divine Bird Phoenix. Has it rested well? Where did it go?"

Xie Pan’Er looked up at the sky and shouted, "Divine Bird Phoenix, co back!" After calling out, she told Ji Youzhi about the foolish things Li Yanyan had just done.

Upon hearing this, Ji Youzhi rolled his eyes, sneering inwardly. Doesn’t she have any self-awareness? Daring to take credit for anything?

At this point, it wasn’t only Ji Youzhi who was rolling his eyes. The Divine Bird Phoenix, flying high in the sky, also rolled its eyes.

That girl, Li Yanyan, is truly wretched! Not only does she share a birthday with my Master, but because of this, when she first approached, I sensed a faint trace of Master’s Qi on her. That’s why I didn’t deal with her imdiately; I even thought she might be another spirit pet Master took in after descending to the mortal realm! I never imagined she’d have such audacity, daring to claim she summoned ! And even demanding I acknowledge her as master! What a human, utterly clueless about courting death! She was really lucky today. I deliberately flew so high intending to make her fall to her death, yet I didn’t even succeed! As expected of soone leeching off Master’s luck; her own fortune is surprisingly good!

With these thoughts, the Divine Bird Phoenix was fuming, letting out several long roars to vent its frustration. Finally, it descended before Xie Pan’Er, who was calling it loudly.

"Alright, the Divine Bird Phoenix is here. Seventh Prince, you can start your journey now!" Xie Pan’Er reached out, patted the head of the Divine Bird Phoenix, and communicated with it heart-to-heart, "Divine Bird Phoenix, whenever you see a ship at sea, land on it and allow the Seventh Prince to bring General Dugu back, alright?"
