The people on Gufeng, far outside Yunhang County Town, were completely unaware of the dramatic scene unfolding in the Nanjiang Royal Palace.
The King of Nanjiang was acting insane, headbutting the wall and rolling on the floor while clutching his head.
Ministers and Palace Maids alike thought their king had gone mad.
The Witch Doctor had him bound, claiming that he was afflicted with madness and needed to be restrained to avoid self-harm, so they could examine him properly!
But ordinary ropes were no use. The King of Nanjiang was incredibly strong, and the ropes behaved strangely; no matter what sort they used, or even if they were iron chains, he broke them all.
They had no choice but to ask the Great Wizard from the Witch God Hall for help.
However, the apprentices in the Witch God Hall pushed open the Great Wizard’s ditation chamber to find him rolling around on the floor.
He was also sweating profusely, and even talking gibberish.
The condition of the Great Wizard was identical to that of the King of Nanjiang on the throne.
Actually, there was a difference. The King of Nanjiang talked to himself and even hurt himself.
The Great Wizard in front of them, however, was just sweating and rolling around, and for so reason, his Witch Power was gradually diminishing. His Power was regressing!
"What’s going on? Great Wizard! What’s wrong with you?"
The Head Attendant of the Witch God Hall was baffled. Why had the King suddenly gone mad, and the Great Wizard as well?
The Head Attendant and a few minor attendants quickly helped the Great Wizard up and urgently inquired about his condition.
Without replying, the Great Wizard grabbed a minor attendant’s hand, then began absorbing the Witch Power within him.
"Ah... don’t! Why is my Power disappearing? Head Attendant! Save , save !"
The attendant watched as his Power gradually disappeared, all absorbed by the Great Wizard. He felt as if he was losing his soul! He quickly pleaded for help from the Head Attendant!
"Why is this happening? Why is the Great Wizard practicing such a Cultivation Technique against the Celestial Dao?"
The Head Attendant was stupefied. He didn’t care about his companion and hurried out of the ditation chamber, imdiately shutting the door.
Other minor attendants rushed over to ask what had happened.
"All of you guard this place. No one is allowed to open the door without my command. No one can enter, and no one is to leave!"
The Head Attendant’s words left the minor attendants perplexed. This was the chamber where the Great Wizard cultivated, and they were his attendants. The person cultivating inside was the Great Wizard, so the one to co out would undoubtedly be the Great Wizard too! But why had the Head Attendant locked the door, forbidden them from entering, and further instructed them not to let anyone leave?
"Head Attendant! What on earth happened inside? Is the Great Wizard alright?"
However, the Head Attendant had no ti to reply, as the Royal Palace’s ssenger was urging him outside.
"Head Attendant! Has the Great Wizard co out yet? If we don’t find a solution quickly, I fear the King will..."
"I’m coming with you now."
"What? Why are you coming with us? Where is the Great Wizard? Is there sothing wrong with him...?"
"The Great Wizard is old and currently in deep cultivation, trying to communicate with heaven to guide the future of Nanjiang. This is a crucial mont in his cultivation, and we should not disturb him."
The Head Attendant interrupted the ssenger, pulling out a black whip from his sleeve.
It was said to be the God-Binding Whip, forged from the Witch Power of a great Witch God thousands of years ago.
Despite its daunting na, compared to the Daoist Sect’s Immortal Binding Lock, it was vastly inferior.
However, this artifact was effective in binding people. Unless they were Immortals or higher-level cultivators, they could not break free.
Holding the God-Binding Whip, the Head Attendant followed the ssenger to the Great Hall of the Royal Palace. The Imperial Physicians and Palace Maids were either injured by the King of Nanjiang or hurt themselves while trying to avoid him.
They were scattered on the floor, moaning and groaning in pain!
"Head Attendant, you’re finally here. Where is the Great Wizard? Why didn’t he co?"
Seeing the Head Attendant, a Witch Doctor with his arm in a sling hurried over to inquire.
"The Great Wizard is in Secluded Cultivation and cannot co. I’ll have a look at what’s going on here!"
