Galos said, "The process of Dragon Vein Transformation is intense and painful."
"Russell, given your severely injured body, undergoing transformation will only leave you a slim chance of survival, wasting the Dragon Blood."
After a pause, he continued, "However, I will still give you this opportunity; you can make your own choice."
Due to his early loyalty and to set an example for other followers, regardless of the outco, Galos decided to grant the werewolf the opportunity for Dragon Vein Transformation.
Now, there were two choices laid before Russell.
One is to drag his broken body and eke out a living.
Two is to risk his life with Dragon Vein Transformation for survival.
As a warrior, once a leader struggling for survival with his clan in the wilderness, Russell did not hesitate, his gaze firm, saying, "Dragon Lord, please bestow upon the Dragon Blood. I wish to beco stronger and continue serving you loyally."
The key to Dragon Vein Transformation is willpower.
As long as the will to survive and the desire to beco stronger are strong enough, even if the body is completely destroyed, there is still a high probability of a successful transformation.
Galos saw the unyielding will in the werewolf’s eyes and said, "As you wish."
Imdiately, he had the followers bring the collected Dragon Blood to conduct the transformation ceremony for the werewolf.
During the process, many servant leaders ca to watch.
Like lava yet seemingly molten iron, the blood ball was tossed into the werewolf’s mouth.
As the Dragon Blood went down his throat, Russell’s grey-white fur stood on end.
His originally weak body suddenly tensed, muscles swelled like inflating, bones emitted tooth-aching crackling sounds, seemingly improving.
But this power ca too violently.
The werewolf’s skin suddenly cracked, revealing the new black scales underneath, and the old skin peeled off like dry bark. However, the growth speed of the new scales could not keep up with the destruction, and his body quickly turned into a terrifying half-scale, half-flesh appearance, with the spine elongating and deforming, and the tailbone piercing through flesh to extend a two-ter-long bone tail.
The most painful was the skull reconstruction, the wolf jaws tearing and healing, with dragon horns gradually growing on his head.
Frost Fang watched his father rolling on the ground, the furrows clawed out by wolf paws filled with a mixture of blood and scales. He clenched his paws tightly, silently praying to the ancestors that his father could overco this ordeal.
"Rember who you fight for."
"When the body is on the brink of collapse, let your will lead you to break out of the encirclent."
The voice of the Red Iron Dragon exploded directly in Russell’s almost collapsing consciousness.
In a daze.
Russell thought of the instructions from the Elder Shaman that year, telling him to surely lead the werewolves to glory, thought of the young werewolf cubs needing to be fed, thought of those tough past, and the broader future after following Galos.
He erupted with an unprecedented survival instinct.
"I... cannot... fall..."
Russell’s bone tail suddenly shattered the ground, letting out a trapped beast-like roar, and his body stood up inch by inch, with newly ford dragon scales growing and shaping like armor as he stood.
When he finally stood up fully, his body was twice as large as before, transforming into a brand-new form.
His wolf head remained but bore more features of the Dragon Race, his fangs like dagger-like chilling, and under the thick fur on his body, a layer of black, steel-like scale armor indistinguishable to the naked eye appeared, with a pair of wings sprouting from his back.
Galos gazed at the werewolf transford into a Dragon Descendant, smiling slightly, and said, "You have earned a rebirth."
To be honest, he didn’t expect Russell to succeed.
Dragon Vein Transformation is actually easier for purer beings to complete, such as Kalu, whose mind is filled with nothing but food.
For soone as clever and who even likes reading to acquire knowledge like Russell, hesitation and doubt are more likely due to rational thinking, yet this werewolf’s will is incredibly strong, better than Galos expected.
This willpower has allowed him to be reborn in blood.
However, unlike Kalu, Russell’s entire body is covered in black, iron-cast-like scales, with characteristics belonging to the Iron Dragon, clearly inheriting the power of the Iron Dragon Bloodline.
"Kalu’s crude nature is close to the Red Dragon, thus inherited the Red Dragon Bloodline."
"Russell is more rational and intelligent, his character leaning towards the Iron Dragon, so he inherited the Iron Dragon Bloodline."
"Could it be, the nature closer to a certain type of dragon leads to transformation results leaning towards the corresponding Dragon Race bloodline."
Galos pondered thoughtfully.
Due to the scarce number of mixed-blood dragons, his inheritance contains no records about this; now he is speculating on his own.
anwhile, Russell, panting heavily, his chest rising and falling dramatically, kneeling before the Red Iron Dragon.
He said with a sonorous tone, "My strength, my life, my soul, all for you to burn!"
From then on, Galos had an additional Dragon Vein Follower under his command.
The forr Bloodtooth Commander, now the Battle Team Leader of the Steel Will Battle Group, Jackal-wolfman Hodgson, knelt before Galos, a face full of flattering and fawning smiles, "Noble, invincible, great Dragon Lord, Hodgson also wishes to beco stronger and serve you better."
Galos replied concisely, "You will one hundred percent die."
The Steel Will Battle Group, as grand as the na sounds, is actually composed of the most ordinary warriors without any special features from various races; essentially a cannon fodder group.
Hodgson did not have the courage to face death for rebirth.
He shrank back his head, laughing awkwardly, "Please pretend I never said that, bestow the opportunity on soone more qualified."
He is still in his pri, not at a point where he desperately seeks Dragon Vein Transformation for lifespan extension, and the painful struggle of Russell just now is vividly rembered, making him feel fearful and lacking confidence.
Galos didn’t plan to continue transforming other followers now.
The remaining Dragon Blood continued to be sealed and reserved.
He instructed the followers to disperse and construct the territory, while he himself continued with various training, during which his internal magical and life energy slowly transford into Dragon Qi.
The initial level-up thod for a Martial Dragon is straightforward.
Only through harsh training that pushes oneself to the limit or intense combat does the Dragon Qi transform.
The total amount of Dragon Qi increases by one level when it reaches one-tenth of the total. When the level reaches 10, Galos’s life energy and magic will completely transform into more robust and resilient Dragon Qi.
In the days to follow, Galos’s life in Dragon Valley beca more fulfilling.
Dragon Qi, explosive scales, Dragon Heart, and from ti to ti grinding wings and tail... he was imrsed in all kinds of training, engulfed in his own improvent.
At the sa ti.
As ti passed day by day.
Samantha, disliking the cold weather, led her followers and so War Lizardfolk to Sulfur Hills to rebuild the Alchemy Workshop.
Under Iron Dragon Solrog’s command and managent, the followers were also constructing the territory, such as setting up defensive lines, arrow towers, and lookout posts outside the valley, and constructing outposts in so key points, high grounds, and other places.
They mainly stationed at the place initially known as the Giant Ruins and occasionally went to Dragon Valley.
The Iron Dragon was the busiest, for not only did it command the followers, it also did not idle, relying on its innate sense of tal to inch by inch search the earth for hidden veins.
Only Elf Dragon Vera, whose sole task was to collect her scale powder for Galos, did nothing but play, living a most relaxed and leisurely life.
Thus, a month passed by in the blink of an eye.
The Molten Iron Clan gradually took root in Dragon Valley and the Border Area.
The sun cast its not-so-warm rays, and Iron Dragon Solrog took a deep breath, then excitedly got up slowly from a pit, with a piece of black-grey stone clutched in his paw.
"Finally found a valuable vein!"
Right beneath his feet, he sensed the existence of a tal vein.
After excavation, it was confird to be Gray Magnetic Iron Ore.
Although Gray Magnetic Iron Ore is not a magic tal, it still holds good value, and the vein here seed sizable, a resource point capable of continuous mining.
The dragon’s face bore a happy expression.
The Iron Dragon noted down this location, flapped its wings, and ascended into the sky, flying towards Dragon Valley to deliver the good news to Galos.
However, the Iron Dragon failed to notice.
From ten miles away, a group of agile Centaur scouts lifted their heads from the cold-resistant pine forest, eyes fixed on the diminishing outline of the Iron Dragon in the sky.
The Border Area is the domain of Monster Race and powerful fierce beast magical creatures.
Young dragons are more active here where there are no armies stationed than in the wilderness.
Now, the natives of the Border Area, the Monster Race, also noticed the arrival of the young dragons.
