Galos and White Dragon Trish walked out together from her Dragon’s Nest.
"Shall we go and take a look at the Icefield?"
Looking towards the north, at the world covered in frost and snowflakes, Galos suddenly had the urge to explore.
On the Eternal Frost Tundra, Frost Giants and Barbarians were fiercely battling each other, as the chaos woven from blood and death beca the main the of the Icefield.
Galos did not go directly to the Icefield, but his forces, which first captured and then absorbed a small group of Giant followers and the Frost Behemoth he had previously killed, had certain connections with the Icefield.
The Border Area was close to the Icefield.
The chaos in the Icefield was also impacting the Border Area, so Galos wanted to explore the specific situation there.
But after careful consideration of his spontaneous thought, he shook his head and let it go.
"Forget it, the Icefield is chaotic and dangerous, going there now is like jumping into a mixing furnace."
"I don’t need to take this risk personally."
"Right now, there are almost daily migrating creatures escaping from the Icefield, I can understand the situation through them without risking myself."
After calming his thoughts, Galos turned towards the White Dragon.
"Co with ."
This place was very simple, or rather not a territory, just a hiding place, nothing worth lingering over, and the White Dragon left without any emotional burden.
The two dragons soared and returned on their original path; as they moved southward, the air temperature gradually rose.
anwhile.
On the Estonian River, the deck of the Treasure glistened warmly in the sunlight, as Nick leaned lazily against the mast, enjoying the rare mont of tranquility.
The river surface was calm like a mirror, reflecting the evergreen pine forests on both banks, with only the ripples spread by the ship’s hull slowly expanding.
"Did you see the Sky-Splitting Wings?"
Tiefling Maggi walked out from the cabin and ca to Nick’s side, softly asking.
"No, the mighty Sky-Splitting Wings."
Nick corrected his wife, saying, "He’s stronger than I imagined and worth us betting everything on."
Looking at his wife’s belly, Nick gently said, "Maggi, the deck is damp; you need rest now."
Tiefling Maggi was found to be pregnant.
Humans value offspring more than the Dragon Race, partly because of thoughts about their child with Maggi, striving for a better environnt, which prompted Nick to decisively bet on the young dragon.
He knew.
This eting, having passed the test from the other side, certainly increased his stature in their minds.
Maggi blinked her erald eyes and said with a smile, "I’m not a fragile human girl, Nick, even ten of you wouldn’t be enough for to handle with one hand."
The rchant touched his nose and laughed sheepishly, "I was overthinking."
Pausing, he said, "The child, whether boy or girl, will be strong and healthy."
Maggi was silent and eventually sighed, whispering, "I hope the child is as smart as you."
She had suffered cold stares and discrimination, not wanting her child to inherit the Tiefling lineage.
But the mixed-blood rate between Tieflings and humans is high, a fifty percent chance their offspring will inherit that trace of Devil’s Blood.
"No, Maggi, I love your eyes and horns."
Nick embraced his sowhat troubled wife, the unserious smile on his face disappeared, replaced by serious solemnity, saying, "I promise, I will establish a powerful family, securing titles and land, so even if our child inherits your bloodline, they won’t face cold stares and discrimination."
"In our territory, the Tiefling lineage will beco a glory rather than a burden."
Often wealth ans resources, it ans connections.
Bernardo Planet’s rchant status is not low; extrely wealthy rchants can buy titles and land, becoming a part of the nobility; however, this is not easy, at least Nick cannot currently achieve this.
"Hmm, I’m looking forward to that day,"
Maggi smiled as she said.
Suddenly, with the gust of wind, the calm river began to break.
First with slight ripples, then transforming into turbulent waves.
Dozens of sharp dorsal fins broke through the water; the Sawtooth Sharks swirled around the Treasure like silver lightning, causing the ship to shake violently, as the mast groaned under the strain.
"Watch out!"
"Beast approaching underwater, be on guard, be on guard!"
"Port side, thirty degrees, prepare the Magic Energy Cannon!"
The sailors and guards on the Treasure were fully prepared.
The Estonian River is never known for its safety; beneath the vast river surface lurk nurous aquatic beasts or magical creatures, often attacking passing rchant ships.
Sawtooth Sharks are aquatic beasts; as their na suggests, they have steel blade-like dorsal fins capable of slicing through vessel hulls.
The Treasure’s armants can deal with this group of Sawtooth Sharks, but unavoidable damage will require docking for repairs, delaying the journey.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
The cannon let out a roar, blasting waves across the river, scattering the Sawtooth Shark group, making it difficult for them to approach,
but through the gaps between the cannon’s water pillars, a Sawtooth Shark swung its tail, its muscular body breaking through the water, pulling a trail of white waves on the river surface, heading straight for the ship.
At that mont.
Whoosh!
A feathered arrow bore down with strong winds, predicting the Sawtooth Shark’s trajectory and accurately hitting it, piercing its body, followed by raging winds violently exploding, blasting flesh and blood from its body.
Blast Magic Arrow, one of the magical arrow techniques favored by Elf Race archers.
Fast speed, strong penetration, high precision, ability to explode upon hitting the target.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Three more arrows descended in a triangular pattern, forcing the shark group trying to approach to retreat.
Then.
One arrow after another with Blast Magic fell from the sky, supporting the cannon barrage of the Treasure, scattering and defeating those shark groups.
A few minutes later, the river surface soaked in blood gradually cald down, leaving the bodies of Sawtooth Sharks floating, while others had fled.
Nick erged from hiding within the cabin and returned to the deck.
He lifted his head, along with the sailors and crew, looking towards the sky where a faint figure riding a warhorse and resembling a Guardian Angel was walking through the air.
"It’s a Centaur Commander under the Dragon Lord."
Nick recalled that there was a winged, distinctive centaur woman within the Centaur Tribe, and the figure in the sky appeared to be her.
Nick was correct.
The figure was indeed Mixed-blood Centaur Elvira, who had received orders to escort the fleet.
Such treatnt was sothing the rchant had not experienced before.
After eting Galos this ti, he obtained more support.
"Seems my decision was right."
Nick took a deep breath, a bright smile on his face, slightly bowing to express gratitude to the centaur in the sky, then turned to shout to the crew, "Pull up those sharks! We’ve got fish fins for dinner tonight!"
As the Treasure set sail again, the river had returned to a calm state.
