"Are we really going to let that human go?"

Samantha asked.

Galos put away the map, looked in the direction where the wanderer had fled, then retracted his gaze and said, "Do I look like a Dragon Race that breaks my word? Since I said I would allow her to escape my territory, I’ll give her a chance."

Since Galos had spoken.

Samantha asked no more, then went to clean the battlefield, picking and choosing, not missing any corner, gathering up the adventurers’ equipnt, whether intact, slightly damaged, or completely destroyed.

"My dear brother, could I have these alchemy equipnt?"

She held the equipnt in her foreclaws, pleadingly asked.

The adventurers’ equipnt, alchemy tools, were rather inferior in Galos’s eyes, at least compared to a few pieces he possessed, they were not worth ntioning.

But he didn’t imdiately agree, instead, he asked, "What do you want to do with them?"

Samantha eagerly replied, "Disassemble them, lt them down, I want to try using them as materials to craft alchemy tools suitable for us Dragon Race."

With her current alchemy level, the probability of failure was high.

But regardless of the outco, she could gain imnsely from the process.

Galos flicked his tail and said, "Renovate your ’Alchemy Workshop’ first. These equipnt are yours; you can use them to craft tools, but the task of refining dark oil must continue, don’t neglect it."

Samantha’s eyes lit up.

"Ah, my dear brother, I will surely succeed in crafting alchemy tools."

"Wait to be proud of !"

Her final tone was not akin to the way Dragon Race of the sa age would converse but rather resembled speaking to an elder.

In fact, once again during her monts of inadequacy, Galos appeared, turning the tide, providing Samantha with so much security that even the Iron Dragon Lady couldn’t offer—in the Iron Dragon Lady’s territory, there was essentially no danger.

From the initial helpless submission in her heart.

To now nurturing a dependency on Galos.

After all, Samantha was just a six-year-old young dragon, although bearing the Dragon’s Legacy, her mind was still very immature, far from being comparable to Galos.

She viewed Galos as her reliance, a target worth learning from and chasing after.

Whoosh!

Galos flapped his wings, a fierce wind swept up surrounding dust, dead branches, and leaves.

"Where are you going?"

Samantha, who was engrossed in rebuilding her ’Alchemy Workshop,’ which was essentially a rudintary stone-slate shack, asked.

"To deal with the wanderer."

Galos said.

"Eh? Didn’t you say you were going to let her go?"

Samantha was sowhat puzzled.

"Wrong, what I said was to let her leave the territory."

Galos corrected slightly.

Let her go? What a joke.

The adventurer species need to be completely killed off at once, otherwise, unless he abandons the territory, they will endlessly co to attack him, and among adventurers, there aren’t few strong ones; letting the wanderer leave alive would put himself in danger, and Galos wouldn’t allow such a thing to happen.

From the start, he never intended to let the wanderer go.

As for why he let her run for a while, it wasn’t for teasing or amusent, mainly to see if there were any other support, any adventurers lurking outside to respond.

The likelihood of this was low.

After all, hunting Dragon Race like this, to ensure everything went smoothly, they should have all co together.

But what if?

Being cautious never hurts.

Before having enough power, Galos was extrely careful to ensure his own life safety; careless young dragons, almost eight out of ten, were buried in the wilderness.

He flapped his wings, soared into the sky, rging into the night.

"As expected of my brother, Samantha, truly evil to the core, I am still too naive and need to learn from Galos."

Samantha sighed inwardly, then continued to repair her little alchemy workshop.

Elsewhere.

The bright moonlight spilled from the sky, coating the wilderness in a layer of silver.

The wanderer’s breath was rapid; having stripped off her leather armor and a set of alchemy tools, she was almost nude, her body covered with small bleeding cuts from sharp branches or stone edges, having escaped to the outskirts of Iron Pine Hills.

In her current condition.

Without companions, without equipnt, and injured, weak, even leaving the Iron Pine Hills, trying to safely leave the wilderness was extrely difficult, almost certainly a near-death situation.

But at least there was a slim chance of survival.

"Damn it, damn Evil Dragon!"

"Do you think I would die in the wilderness and thus think I’m irrelevant?"

The wanderer clenched her fist tightly, her nails almost sinking into her flesh, she vowed in her heart.

"I will definitely, definitely escape the wilderness, then return with stronger companions and make you pay dearly for your arrogance!"

Two young dragons.

A Red Young Dragon and an even more powerful Mixed-blood Young Dragon.

To adventurers, this is an irresistible great temptation; as long as she can leave the wilderness and spread the news, then adventurers willing to team up to hunt dragons will keep coming.

The wanderer, disregarding her body’s fatigue, started running again.

First, get away from this Iron Pine Hills.

As ti passed, the wanderer leaned against a slope to catch her breath, looking back toward the Iron Pine Hills, the dragon had not chased, had not appeared, it seed to really let her go.

Crunch.

The sound of claws stepping on gravel suddenly echoed not far away.

The wanderer’s senses instantly heightened; she peered over.

In her view, a pack of Needle-haired Wolves sniffed the blood in the air, slowly approaching from different directions, their eyes set on the wanderer.

The scent of blood excited the Needle-haired Wolves.

Detecting weakness from the wanderer, they didn’t hesitate much, directly lunging at her.

The wanderer was already in a weakened state, and without equipnt and tools.

Facing the wolf pack’s attack, she died within a minute, full of unwillingness and anger, becoming food for the wolves.

—She might as well have died at the hands of the Dragon Race; at least it would be more glorious, more swift.

This was her last thought before death.

At the sa ti, Galos circled high above, silently watching the events below.

"No other adventurers exist."

He quietly followed the wanderer for a while, noticed no one receiving her, and was about to strike, then noticed a wolf pack discovered the wanderer’s trail, so he held back, watching the wanderer die at the jaws of the wolves.

Soon, not even a bone was left on the ground.

The wolf pack also vanished, moving elsewhere.

This was the norm of the wilderness; it was also the norm of countless worlds — the weak are completely devoured, living day by day.

Without any further worries, Galos returned to Iron Pine Hills, took out the map again under the moonlight.

Looking at the route marked on the map, the place circled felt more familiar, and after pondering carefully for a few minutes, he suddenly realized.

"The place marked here is the abandoned mine pit where the Rock-Breaking Worm swarm resides."

The Sel Wilderness is filled with abandoned mine pits like stars in the sky, countless; initially hearing the wanderer say the underground city was below a particular abandoned mine pit, he didn’t think much about it, now he was sowhat startled.

It was indeed sowhat coincidental.

But when Galos thought again, it also made sense.

"The Insect King mastering extraordinary ntal skills, able to directly control the life and death of other Rock-Breaking Worms, this isn’t a skill a normal Insect King should have."

Galos mused.

"Could it be influenced by a Legendary alchemy tool, hence evolving psychic skills?"

Thinking of this, even with Galos’s nature, he found it hard to suppress the greedy urge to recklessly explore imdiately, to obtain the Legendary alchemy tool.

Imdiately.

He wouldn’t need to be cautious anymore, could ascend to the peak of his dragon life step by step, defeating all who dared call themselves Evil Dragons rcilessly.

Dominate the world!

Do as he pleases!

Live till the end of ti!

"Stop, stop, stop!"

"Galos, quickly stop your unrealistic fantasies!"

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The Red Iron Young Dragon shook its head vigorously, then took several deep breaths and exhaled, repeating the process, calming its restless emotions through heavy breathing, then looked back at Samantha, using her as a negative warning sign, reminding himself never to fall into the Evil Dragon’s common mistake, or else end up in a similar fate.

Greed—this is just below arrogance and hubris, a major factor that easily leads Dragon Race into danger.
