"The Snake Dragon isn’t afraid of death. Pain and injuries actually bring it joy and madness, with an intense craving for combat."

"Facing such a mad dragon offers no benefits."

As Galos saw the Cliff Snake Dragon, his eyes flashed, then he held his breath, folding his dragon wings into the stealthiest gliding posture, hiding himself behind the clouds.

The Snake Dragon is notoriously fearless of death.

One might even say this creature pursues death, yearning for it.

For instance, if a Snake Dragon fights a strong enemy and is severely injured, while the enemy, fearing the Snake Dragon’s curse, refrains from delivering a killing blow and prepares to leave.

A Snake Dragon that could clearly survive.

Instead, chooses the most extre thod.

Suicide, using life and soul to curse the strong enemy.

Even in death, it ensures the opponent suffers greatly.

Records in the heritage say that in ancient tis, Snake Dragons were originally main-type dragons, with numbers no fewer than the Five-Colored Dragons, tal Dragons, and Gemstone Dragons, but due to their bizarre tendency to die over minor disagreents, their numbers gradually dwindled and now they have beco a secondary type of dragon.

Galos didn’t expect to encounter a Cliff Snake Dragon in the territory of the Gray-haired Werewolves.

This creature is too troubleso.

Its claws, teeth, and blood are all poisonous.

If one were to fight it, even if successful in killing it, one would have to pay a considerable price.

It’s not afraid of death, without any concerns.

But Galos wants to live long and is unwilling to risk injury or even severe injury fighting the Snake Dragon.

In this wilderness, dangers extend beyond just the Snake Dragon.

If he were gravely injured because of it and encountered more dangers before healing, the consequences would be unimaginable.

"And it has a curse too."

"Even if I kill it, the Cliff Snake Dragon’s Fire Curse would continually lower my fire resistance."

As a half-blood of a Red Dragon and Iron Dragon, his fire resistance is very high, and he generally bypasses common fire-elent attacks. He doesn’t want the Cliff Snake Dragon’s Fire Curse to give him a newfound fire weakness.

"However, thinking from another angle."

"Can my adaptive evolution apply to resistances diminished by such curses?"

"If possible, my fire resistance might initially decrease but would continue to rise afterward."

Galos contemplated, weighing the pros and cons.

Since his initial fire resistance was so high, he rarely trained in that aspect, the gains were low and the difficulty high, but if his fire resistance could be continually raised, he’d welco it. Although his fire resistance is high, it’s not to the point of complete immunity to fire-elent damage. Advanced magical fire can still harm him.

"The risk is still too high."

"I’m not sure about the specific reactions if the curse lands on ."

A few seconds later, Galos shook his head, hiding himself further without making a sound.

Earlier, upon seeing the Snake Dragon, aside from caution, a sense of loathing and killing intent surged from his heritage, but since the risks outweighed the benefits, Galos suppressed his instinct to attack the Snake Dragon.

anwhile.

The Cliff Snake Dragon had burrowed back into the cave.

This encounter seed like it could end peacefully.

However, the Cliff Snake Dragon’s forked tail suddenly paused in mid-air, then began to wag excitedly, the friction of scales produced a harsh scraping sound, and it turned back, continuously sniffing the air.

Dragons are invariably drawn to each other, being highly sensitive to each other’s aura.

And the Cliff Snake Dragon is extrely sensitive to the aura of other dragons.

At this mont, in its olfactory world, it seed as though scent molecules composed a fiery red trail pointing directly to a dense cloud in the sky.

It could sense more than just the dragon’s scent.

Through the scent, it determined more information.

A mixed-blood of Red Dragon and Iron Dragon, an eight-year-old male young dragon, recently carnivorous, with a heavy scent.

Body length exceeds seven ters, covered in nondescript black-gray dragon scales, with particularly large dragon wings and an unusually strong body...Ordinary Snake Dragons, though slling strongly, can’t detect this much information.

This Snake Dragon is no exception.

Its body length and appearance were seen with the eyes.

Galos flapped his wings, slicing open the clouds and leaving a void trail, flying towards the distance.

When the Cliff Snake Dragon suddenly paused and sniffed the air, he knew he was exposed.

He had tried to suppress his aura as much as possible but couldn’t counter the Cliff Snake Dragon’s overly sharp olfactory radar which detected his presence.

Since fighting the Cliff Snake Dragon held no advantage, Galos, not wanting to be entangled, chose to fly away since he had been exposed.

Seeing a dragon silhouette soar through the clouds in the night sky, the werewolves of Crescent Valley were sowhat astonished, not expecting a dragon to have silently lurked there.

Hiss—!

The blood-red pupils of the Cliff Snake Dragon locked tightly onto Galos, a tremor akin to a serpent’s hiss rolled from its throat, its spiked long tail smashing the mountain rocks.

It leaped into the air like an arrow from a bowstring, explosively powerful, its wingless body traversing in a straight line through the air.

Whoosh!

Ascending high into the air, it opened its dragon mouth, its chest puffed out, expelling a linear lava dragon breath towards Galos’ back.

This dragon breath was potent, inflicting damage beyond the fire elent.

Galos didn’t resist head-on, increased his speed, sidestepped, and continued to distance himself.

With the speed increase, his body scales rubbed against the air, and rarely seen branding-like dark red patterns began to brighten, the edges of his dragon scales gradually turning a burnt red hue.

Galos infused magic power into his exploding scales, swinging his body.

Swish swish swish!

So dragon scales shot off from him, firing towards the Cliff Snake Dragon, turning almost entirely burnt red as they rubbed against the air at high speed.

The Cliff Snake Dragon charged straight towards Galos, disregarding those dragon scales.

It turned its long body with a flick, its spiky forked tail precisely intercepting them.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Clusters of fireballs exploded in the sky, engulfing the Cliff Snake Dragon in surging flas, illuminating this area of the sky.

Hiss! From the flas ca the furious hissing of the Cliff Snake Dragon.

It darted out of the flas, with many charred marks on its body, but because it is likewise a Fire Dragon, possessing high fire resistance, the burn marks from the explosive flas weren’t severe.

However.

The exceptionally sharp fragnts of scales lodged into its softer underbelly plates that lacked the strength of scale armor, sending out sharp, intense pain, leaking trace amounts of toxic blood.

The pain made the Cliff Snake Dragon even more excited.

Its body arched, lava-like patterns erging all over, the lower layers of its scale armor emitting a ghostly steam-like sound, then with a bounce, its speed suddenly surged, piercing through clouds, rapidly closing in on Galos.

"This guy’s explosive power is incredibly strong!"

"I seem to lack so ans of explosive power."

Using the Snake Dragon as a mirror, Galos suddenly realized his explosive power was not impressive, his strongest strike required distance and acceleration to unleash effectively.

The explosive secret technique skills in dragon heritage, at his current age and level, he couldn’t access.

Galos didn’t set his speed to maximum, wanting to test the Cliff Snake Dragon’s ttle, and in a certain state of explosive force, the Cliff Snake Dragon was gradually closing in on Galos.
