Now reading: Chapter 2: Class Selection from A Druid Also Can Cultivate, a Eastern novel by The white fox is not an uncle..

Just five years?

"Just"? Here’s a "wow" for you!

Which proper ga takes five years to load?

Qi Ping was a bit exasperated.

But seeing this familiar ga, his heart was more filled with surprise.

"I didn’t expect this ga to have transmigrated with ..."

This ga was one Qi Ping downloaded casually from the internet during his boring monts in his previous life, a niche modded ga.

He found the skill settings in it to be quite novel and interesting.

Back then, Qi Ping played it diligently for half a year, playing through most of the professions, so he was well-versed with most of them.

"With these twelve profession templates to choose from, my situation in the Immortal Cultivation Realm should improve a lot!"

Although these professions probably can’t match up to the path of Immortal Cultivation, they’re still much stronger than Qi Ping’s current low-grade talent.

And there’s an old saying: Once you can learn skills across professions, the balance of professions doesn’t exist anymore!

So as long as you choose the right profession and play the skills well, there’s no reason you can’t make a mark in the Immortal Cultivation Realm.

There are no useless professions, only useless players!

As a veteran player of the DND ga mod version, Qi Ping was qualified to say this.

"So the key now is to choose the most suitable profession."

"This profession has to be suitable for developnt in the Immortal Cultivation Realm and fit my current situation..."

Qi Ping couldn’t help but ponder quietly.

This choice is very important and there’s only one chance to choose. If chosen poorly, there’s no room for regret later.

"First, exclude so obviously unsuitable professions, and then carefully compare the ones left..."

With too many professions, Qi Ping finally decided to use a process of elimination to choose.

"First, I can exclude the Barbarian, Bard, Priest, and Martial Monk professions..."

After weighing it, Qi Ping first ruled out four professions.

The Bard is a support profession, with skills mainly in encouragent, illusions, and charm. He didn’t have anyone powerful around him, so it couldn’t possibly be to support an inept old man like Zhou?

The Barbarian is just an impulsive and aggressive brute. In the Immortal Cultivation Realm, it’s surely just a minor monster. Only a fool would pick it.

The Priest’s skills are mostly support and healing, a bit similar to the Bard, so it’s not suitable either.

The Martial Monk is actually an Eastern martial artist, proficient in unard combat. It might be considered in a Martial Arts World, but it’s not of much use in the Immortal Cultivation Realm.

"After excluding these four professions, there are still eight left, and then..."

After thinking for a mont...

"I can further exclude the Warrior, Holy Knight, Wanderer, and Ranger professions."

The Warrior, like the Martial Monk, is a tank and pulverizer, more suitable for a Martial Arts World.

A Wanderer, frankly speaking, is a thief with abilities in hiding and backstabbing, also unsuitable for his current situation.

Ranger is not much different, not of much use in the Immortal Cultivation Realm.

The Holy Knight is sowhat interesting, with its power sourced from faith in light. It indeed offers so operational space in the Immortal Cultivation Realm, but it’s ultimately more suitable for a Martial Arts World.

For example, it needs faith from the Buddhist Sect or the Confucian Sect’s Vast Righteous Qi.

"After excluding eight professions, there are now four professions left: Bloodline Mage, Druid, Mage, and Evil Mage, all of which seem to have significant roles in the Immortal Cultivation Realm..."

The Bloodline Mage draws strength from bloodlines, and in the Immortal Cultivation Realm, there are powerful demon beasts aplenty, even True Dragons, Qilin, or divine beasts like Taotie. If one could bathe in these bloodlines, the power a Bloodline Mage could wield is terrifyingly imnse.

A Druid’s power, on the other hand, cos from faith in nature, with abilities in Natural Spellcasting, Animal Transformation, Beast Taming, and farming, born with a Natural Affinity, offering the widest range of employnt in the Immortal Cultivation Realm.

The Mage, commonly known as the great Spellcaster, is undoubtedly powerful, and reaching the pinnacle can even establish a Divine Kingdom.

The Evil Mage’s magic leans towards dark arts and eerie spells, offering significant play space, especially suitable for a Demon Sect.

Overall, these four professions offer ample room for developnt in the Immortal Cultivation Realm, and if played well, all can be extrely strong.

"I’ve identified the four professions most suitable for the Immortal Cultivation Realm, but they must also suit personally..."

Faced with different circumstances, suitable choices vary.

For example, if Qi Ping were in a Demon Sect, the Evil Mage would be the best choice, with no need to hesitate.

But Qi Ping imdiately excluded the Evil Mage, as his personality wasn’t suited for joining a dangerous Demon Sect.

The reason was simple—Qi Ping was afraid of death. Joining a Demon Sect was far too risky...

"A Bloodline Mage requires bathing in powerful beast bloodlines, but right now, I have no way of obtaining such bloodlines. Given this premise, this profession may not be of help in the short term..."

After all, he couldn’t expect old man Zhou, a Fourth-Layer Qi Refining cultivator, to hunt down strong demon beasts with powerful bloodlines, could he?

Plus, being dirt poor, even saving ten years’ worth of Spirit Stones might not be enough to buy a powerful demon beast’s blood, especially with the beehive issue, even rent might be a problem now.

So the Bloodline Mage wasn’t suitable either.

"The Mage is indeed formidable. If I had good talent and were in a Cultivation Sect, I’d definitely reach the power levels capable of world destruction in the late stages..."

Forbidden spells of earth, fire, wind, water; Space Magic, Ti Magic... any of them could cause cataclysmic destruction. Combined with a Cultivator, the effect would be explodingly powerful.

"But the Mage is fragile, particularly in the early stages, it’s too easy to make risky mistakes. With my current fragile start, the difficulty of rising might be akin to Hell Level..."

Qi Ping’s gaze then fell on the last choice—a Druid...

A Druid was a profession that initially tempted Qi Ping, but as this decision was so important, he carefully compared all options thoroughly again.

Picking wrongly would lead to a lifeti of regret!

"A Druid has four abilities: Beast Taming, farming, transformation, and spellcasting, of which Beast Taming and farming can imdiately provide with great help..."

A Druid has an affinity for animals, allowing communication and the ability to form pacts with Animal Companions.

The most imdiate application is that Qi Ping can quickly find out the reason for the bees’ agitation through communication with them.

Beast Taming could also rapidly boost his combat power in the early stages, for instance, by making a pact with a hive of hornets, it could pose a threat to a mid-stage Qi Refining cultivator.

Such low-intelligence animals would be easier for a Druid to pact with, and their combat power is quite impressive.

The farming ability allows Qi Ping to grow plants and Spiritual dicine, a power whose usefulness in the Immortal Cultivation Realm needs no further explanation.

"Additionally, Druids have a natural affinity with nature, which should provide a slight advantage in Enlightennt..."

"Especially since this body I’m in is low in talent and has only average comprehension..."

ntioning this made Qi Ping sowhat uneasy, with the lowest-grade Wood Spirit Root being bad enough; the comprehension was also lousy!

A basic Wood Elent Technique like the Wood Shield Technique had taken Qi Ping over two years just to barely get started.

This almost drove old man Zhou to see red, making him suspect Qi Ping’s head was made of wood.

This was also a reason for Qi Ping giving up on the Mage. With his level of comprehension, choosing the Mage seed no different from courting death.

"So I’ll go with the Druid! The abilities in Beast Taming and farming surely won’t disappoint..."

Furthermore, it could imdiately solve the beehive issue.

That was, after all, his current ans of survival.

Having made up his mind, Qi Ping decided without hesitation...

"Choose the Druid profession!"
