Now reading: Chapter 272: Naisha’s Destiny Overlap Art from A Farmer's Journey To Immortality, a Action novel by Grayback.

The more Naisha explained, the more Aksai started to understand what it ant for a Spirit cultivator to experience tribulation.

The so-called tribulation was the Great Dao's way of making soone qualified to possess great powers.

It was why cultivators would find themselves in a pinch every now and then, even if they chose safe thods to succeed in their cultivation journeys.

Aksai guessed that he had avoided countless traps and sure-death scenarios that were ant to test him by choosing to stay on his island. It had enabled him to stay unaffected by the ways of fate for the most part.

However, it had also made him a pri target in the Eyes of Fate as his "tests" kept getting rescheduled for later dates.

Aksai guessed that trouble was bound to find him sooner or later now that he had left his "safe zone." He needed to prove to the Heavens that he was capable of possessing all the advantages he had over the other Spirit cultivators. Only then could he observe a brief period of respite from fate's hardships.

He had delayed the inevitable for quite a long. As such, he would also have to pay the compound interest when it was finally his ti to pay.

Thus, Aksai decided to make use of Naisha's technique to his advantage. If he could, he would spam the technique using his perks as a druid to get a heads-up.

Naisha guessed Aksai's intentions clearly.

However, she shook her head before speaking further.

"Big brother, you might not know, but things aren't as straightforward as you want them to be. You wouldn't be able to achieve what you have in mind for a very simple reason. The technique I practice to see the Crossroads of Fate is very special. It doesn't allow anyone to look into their own Crossroads of Fate.

It also doesn't allow anyone to make use of the technique for themselves. Deciphering fate in your own interest is sothing we can't do even if we want to. We can only see the future of soone else.

And once this cultivation technique has been practiced to a certain extent, we can only advance in our cultivation journey by looking into soone else's future. We won't be able to use normal cultivation thods.

Why do you think I run this stall? I would have achieved much more success in my cultivation journey if I had the power to look into my own destiny.

The Great Dao is fair in its ways of doling out punishnts and rewards. No offense, but you and I are from possessing the ability to swindle the Heavens or Seal the Heavens," Naisha explained with a mirthless smile on her face.

"I see," Aksai nodded and dropped the idea of using Naisha's technique to his advantage. At least for the ti being. He also knew why she had particularly ntioned her master without giving him much hints about their identity.

It was her subtle way of saying that he shouldn't think about taking her as a disciple, apprentice, or outright kidnap her to do his future readings for him. A master-disciple relationship was cherished as much as a parent-child relationship. Naisha wanted to let Aksai know that her master would co looking for him if he dared to cross the line with her.

Of course, she didn't state these things outright because of her cultivation base. She didn't want to offend soone like Aksai without him giving her a reason to.

Aksai would never make the mistake of underestimating soone's background. However, he also didn't want to let Naisha go just like that. In the entire Cavereach City, he was probably the only one who understood the value of nurturing soone like Naisha.

"I think I got a fair deal for my 25 Spirit stones, little kid," Aksai said and smiled. "But here's sothing extra for taking the effort to make understand things from your perspective," he said and took out another storage pouch from his storage ring. He then threw it towards Naisha who imdiately caught hold of it effortlessly.

Naisha opened the pouch and found 100 Spirit stones. There was also a wooden token among the Spirit stones that was carved with delicate Essence Equations. This carving ford a picture of a beautiful crescent-moon-shaped island in the middle of the endless ocean.

"This?" Naisha took hold off the wooden token and picked it up. She examined it carefully but found no distinguishing features other than the fact that it was impossible to duplicate it using her own abilities.

"If you get so help in the future, co to Erald Cove and present this token. That token might be able to help you in so way," Aksai said and smiled before getting up. "Goodbye kid, I hope we et again in the future. Take care of yourself till then," he said before vanishing from the spot.

"Big brother," Naisha was about to say sothing to Aksai. However, the latter vanished into thin air before she could do so. She looked around for quite so ti before sighing. She then looked at the wooden token in her hand before clutching it.

"Master I finally found soone I can use my Destiny Overlap on. I wonder for how long he'll be able to defy his fate. And for how much my cultivation will soar because of him," Naisha said to herself and chuckled.

There was indeed a reason for her to expend her life force in attempting to read Aksai's future. She had only done this for a select few individuals who she had found to be remarkable in their own regards. It was as if she was looking for soone who could challenge their fate fiercely. The potential candidates she found before Aksai were lackluster in her eyes.

However, Naisha finally decided to take one step further in her cultivation journey by using the pivotal art of her technique on Aksai– Destiny Overlap. It didn't bring any harm to Aksai. However, the more Aksai rebelled against the heavens, the more Naisha's cultivation base would rise.

This was one of the biggest advantages of her peculiar cultivation technique. It didn't have any strong offense or defense. It didn't even allow her to make progress in other arts of cultivation like alchemy, talismans, and array formations.

However, as long as she found a capable destiny challenger like Aksai, she could tie her density with him. The more Aksai rebelled against his destiny, the more she would benefit from it.

Whatever Naisha had said about her technique to Aksai was true. However, one of the primary reasons why she wasn't interested in passing down the technique to Aksai was because doing so would have made him unable to get selected as a pri candidate for her Destiny Overlap Art.

"I hope you achieve a big success in the future, big brother. Your and my lives are dependent on it."

Naisha muttered while storing the wooden token Aksai had given her in her storage ring.
