Yelia's voice was calm but carried an undertone of sorrow as she continued.

"Lord Al made slumber inside the Enchanted Everwood Farm so that I could guide his future successor whenever they arrived.

After ensuring that, he disappeared without saying where he was going. He left without a word, and I have no idea where he ended up."

Velia, standing nearby, frowned and glanced at her sister. "Did that brat cross the Shiju Mountain Range? Do you think he is still alive?" she asked, her golden eyes narrowing in curiosity.

Yelia shook her head. "I don't know for certain," she admitted.

"But even if he did cross it, I don't believe he stayed in Dadangar for long. As the previous owner of the Myriad Worlds Painting, he had already created various thods to leave this world long before the mad Immortal arrived.

After all, the sect master had already told him to prepare a few things in advance because there was always a chance the artifact would be targeted by other Immortals even if they took all the precautions in the world.

I assu lord Al used one of those arrangents to escape to a different world—far away from Dadangar's current place in the boundless cosmos."

Her voice lowered slightly as she recalled the mory.

"When he left, he was remorseful and angry. He was consud by the way his fellow disciples and the sect elders had died at the hands of the mad Immortal. He blad himself for the tragedy. He said he didn't need the Myriad Worlds Painting anymore because, in his eyes, he was responsible for bringing destruction upon his ho."

Velia raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"Hm? What do you an? Didn't the sect master say there were many powerful entities in the Immortal Realm who wanted the Myriad Worlds Painting even before he ascended? That ans the artifact would have been a target regardless of who possessed it."

Yelia sighed deeply, her expression darkening as she prepared to reveal a hidden truth even Velia did not know.

"That's true… but there's more to it. Lord Al had grown a little careless during his last few expeditions with the Myriad Worlds Painting. He caused too much of a disturbance in a certain world, and that drew unwanted attention.

That disturbance gave the mad Immortal the clues he needed to track the artifact back to Dadangar. Lord Al was devastated when he realized he had unintentionally led that monster to his howorld.

The guilt was overwhelming, and it's why he refused to take the Myriad Worlds Painting back. He wouldn't even listen to his master's pleas."

Velia's eyes widened in disbelief. "That… that ans he never ca back to retrieve the artifact."

Yelia nodded solemnly.

"Yes. He couldn't bear the weight of what had happened. He felt the only way to atone for his mistake was to ensure that no future successor would repeat it. He believed the Myriad Worlds Painting needed to remain hidden.

Lord Al made a promise to the sect master before he left. He vowed that one day, he would et his master again. But he refused to use the painting as a ans to do so.

He even abandoned the use of the Enchanted Everwood Farm because it had been fused with the Myriad Worlds Painting. Separating the two artifacts could have created catastrophic consequences for any future successor.

After all, it was because of the fusion that they couldn't get a lock on the artifact's position. So he chose to abandon one of the few things he cared about– his safe place that was Enchanted Everwood Farm."

Yelia's voice grew quieter, tinged with sadness.

"In the end, he placed restrictions on both the Enchanted Everwood Farm and the Myriad Worlds Painting, ensuring that whoever inherited them wouldn't make the sa mistakes he did. He didn't want another tragedy like the one that had befallen Holy Land Torel.

He made it so that the future successor of the Myriad Worlds Painting won't rashly try to explore the places in the boundless cosmos he shouldn't. The restrictions were placed in such a way that they would unravel slowly over ti as the successor's capability of handling greater risks grew.

This… this is why lord Aksai can't make full use of the Myriad Worlds Painting yet.

We recently lifted off a lot of restrictions that lord Al had placed on the Enchanted Everwood Farm. The arrangents that lord Al had left behind can finally be used by lord Aksai to so extent.

However, lord Aksai is still too weak to lift the restrictions placed on the Myriad Worlds Painting. These restrictions would only loosen up when he reaches the Nascent Soul Realm."

Velia's expression softened as she absorbed her sister's words. "I see…. It seems he made many arrangents before leaving. So, when the mad Immortal left Dadangar… Al must have left shortly after," she mused aloud.

Yelia nodded.

"That's what I believe. He was already a prodigy of his generation. His cultivation breakthroughs were smooth, his talent unparalleled in every aspect of Spirit cultivation. But despite all his achievents, he devoted most of his ti to research.

He rarely showed interest in anything beyond his studies. He was hard working and steady in his path as a Spirit cultivator. However, he had never tried to desperately increase his cultivation base as if his life depended on it. But all of that changed when he saw the way the mad immortal act."

She paused, her gaze distant, as if reliving that mont. "Before he left, there was sothing different. There was a fire in his eyes. For the first ti, I saw him struggle with his weakness. He felt powerless, and it burned him inside.

I could tell he wanted revenge against the mad Immortal. But he wasn't foolish. He knew he couldn't win with the strength he had then. That's why he left—to seek greater opportunities, to find a way to beco stronger."

Yelia's voice trailed off, her words hanging heavily in the air.

Aksai remained silent, his gaze shifting between the two dryad sisters. He absorbed every word, his mind piecing together many tidbits he knew about the Enchanted Everwood Farm and Myriad Worlds Painting.

Velia finally broke the silence, her voice softer than before.

"That brat… he really left everything behind, didn't he? I suppose he believed that protecting the future was more important than his own selfish motives of revenge," she said while looking at Aksai.
