Chapter 630: Little Green Snake Girl P2

The little green demon snake girl tugged lightly on his sleeve and sent a clear ssage through their bond.

She would tell Aksai anything new if she learned more from those strange flashes of understanding she got.

Aksai leaned back slightly, deep in thought. He knew about bloodline mories because of his own druid bloodline.

Sotis, those with strong bloodlines could feel hidden knowledge or gain special powers without learning them slowly. They would simply know after getting sudden monts of insight.

Now that he thought about it, the little green demon snake girl had spent a lot of ti inside the Enchanted Everwood Farm. She must have refined her bloodline on her own while waiting. After gaining new insight, she chose to join him at the ti of his breakthrough because she believed she could handle it.

Aksai wrapped his arms around her small body and let out a soft laugh mixed with surprise. “So you were growing stronger all along. I thought you only liked sleeping in the ponds.”

He looked down at her again, a gentle expression in his eyes.

“You know, I always knew you were special,” he whispered. “But I didn’t expect you to reach near my level so fast. You really surprised .”

The little demon girl smiled without showing her teeth, leaned her head slowly against his chest, and closed her eyes with a peaceful breath — as if she belonged nowhere else.

Aksai was about to speak again to the little demon girl when a voice ca from far away. It was weak but filled with pain, hatred, and anger.

“You… you bastard,” the voice said, broken and shaking.

Aksai stopped and let out a small smile. He didn’t need to guess who it was. He slowly raised his head and looked ahead.

Far in the distance, about seven hundred ters away, he saw Reymon standing on a broken street. The man looked nothing like the proud commander he had been before. His breathing was heavy, his body shaking as if he could fall at any mont.

The land around them looked like the end of a long war. The city of Red Springs was almost gone. Many houses had fallen apart and lay in pieces. Large chunks of broken stone and wood were scattered around like piles of trash. Thick roots and huge vines from the Demon Tree were torn out of the ground, coiled everywhere like dead snakes.

Smoke rose from several places, but the fire could not spread because there wasn’t much left that could burn. It was as if the flas were sprinkled all over the ruined city like garnishing.

Red Springs, once a growing and lively place, now looked like the remains of an old battlefield that had been forgotten long ago.

“Hey! Well… you don’t look…. um… too bad,” Aksai replied casually instead of objecting to the term Reymon had used to address him. Of course, he wasn’t being serious when he said Reymon didn’t look too bad.

The man looked terrible. His clothes were burnt and torn in many places. His golden armor, which once looked proud and shining, had broken apart and hung loosely on him like scraps.

He had used everything he had — his Aurous Body arts, his Spirit spells, and even many hidden cards bought from the vault of the Hall. But all of that had not been enough.

The lightning from the Celestial Wrath had ignored his pride, his training, and his treasures. And the price he paid was visible on his body.

The army he brought — more than three thousand trained Aurous warriors — almost all of them were gone. Only a few dozen were still alive, but even they could barely stand.

So leaned on each other, so sat on the ground with empty eyes, and others lay coughing out dust and blood. None of them looked like they could raise their weapons again.

But that was not the worst.

Reymon’s special elite unit — the Foundation Establishnt cultivators from Sharang — had been almost wiped out completely. They had been placed on high spots to stop Aksai from using the Devil’s Den, but those high spots beca the first targets when the lightning struck. They had died before they could even think of running.

Because of this, the remaining warriors of the Grand Martial Hall stared at Aksai with different feelings. So had fear in their eyes. So had hatred so deep it looked like poison. So looked like they wanted revenge but knew they could not even take one more step without help.

Aksai was calm, steady, and quiet. He did not boast, he did not mock, and he did not look proud. But everyone knew it.

He had beco the Grand Martial Hall’s greatest enemy. And he had managed to destroy almost their entire power all by himself.

At this mont.

Two of the surviving Aurous warriors stood a short distance away. Their bodies were shaking, not only from wounds but from rage. They looked at Reymon, who could hardly stand, and then at Aksai, who didn’t even spare him any form of respect. That was the final straw.

Their eyes turned red with anger.

“He’s ignoring the Grand Master,” one whispered, voice shaking.

“If we don’t act now… then what have we even trained for?” the other replied.

The two gathered the last bits of their Aurous Qi. Their bodies glowed faintly, like dying flas trying to burn for one final mont.

“You evil creature!”

“Hand over your life.”

They shouted as they charged forward, pushing their battered bodies beyond their limit. They used their strongest martial arts, ready to sacrifice themselves just to land a single blow.

Aksai turned his head and watched them calmly. There was no fear, no rush, not even annoyance. He let out a small chuckle and slowly raised his hand, ready to cast a spell.

But before he could do anything, he felt a tug on his sleeve. He looked down.

The little green snake girl wanted to act on his behalf.
