Capítulo 705: Two New Pseudo Lords P1
Joy rose in Naisha’s chest.
All this ti, she had been indirectly helped by Aksai’s luck and success.
In a way, she had been “carried” while Aksai leveled up on his own.Because of that, she had always been thankful to him. But this ti was different.
This was the first ti Aksai had helped her directly. As a result, her gratitude toward him reached a new peak.
She stood up quickly, about to bow and thank Aksai. But before she could say anything, Aksai smiled faintly and raised his hand.
“No need to thank . Yet,” he said. “I have one more surprise for both of you.”
Naisha froze in place.
Aksai then turned his gaze toward Jina. With another wave of his hand, roots and vines rose from the ground behind her as well, forming a second wooden platform.
He gestured lightly.
“Sit.”
Jina’s heart skipped a beat. She did not hesitate. She stepped onto the platform and sat down. Aksai then reached into his spatial gourd once more. This ti, he took out two strange objects.
They were Spirit Cores.
Both of them pulsed with powerful Core Formation energy. One of the borrowed cores had once belonged to the Second Supre. The other had been inside Loken’s dantian at the mont of his death.
Incidentally, both cores had been obtained from Loken, since he was the one who killed the Second Supre to take the latter’s core. In the end, both cores ended up in Aksai’s hands.
Now, he had decided to put them to good use imdiately. That was the reason he had summoned Naisha and Jina here.
At this point, Jina’s eyes were fixed on the Spirit Cores in Aksai’s hand.
They pulsed with steady light, slow and deep, like living hearts. Even without touching them, she could feel the pressure they gave off. It was the power of the Core Formation realm, sothing she had chased for decades.
And yet, instead of joy, doubt rose in her mind.
She had heard of borrowed Spirit Cores before. The Kalingoot Supres were living proof of them. Strong, yes, but flawed. Their paths were cut short. Their futures were sealed as pseudo Lords couldn’t beco true Lords unless they managed to completely integrate their Spirit Signatures with the borrowed cores like in the case of the First Supre.
Furthermore, even after almost completely making the borrowed core his, the First Supre’s potential as a Lord was halved. And this was when the First Supre’s elental compatibility completely complented the borrowed Spirit Core.
Naisha and Jina were both not completely compatible with the borrowed Cores they were given to begin with. Plus, their Spirit cultivation techniques were not in line with their potential borrowed cores as well.
Even though Naisha and Jina both knew that their chances of becoming true Lords were not that high, a part of them didn’t want to kill the possibility. Because once they walked that road, there was no turning back.
Aksai had already explained that he planned to turn her and Naisha into pseudo Core Formation Lords. She understood the benefits. She also understood the risks.
Her fingers tightened slightly on her knees.
‘If I accept this… will I really still have a chance to walk my own path?’ she wondered.
She hesitated. Her lips parted as she prepared to ask the question that had been bothering her since the mont she saw the cores.
But before she could speak, Aksai smiled. It was as if he could already see her thoughts.
“Hehe. Don’t worry, you two,” he said in a light tone. “These borrowed Spirit Cores won’t affect your chances of becoming true Core Formation Lords in the future.”
Jina’s eyes widened slightly. Naisha also looked up at him at once. Aksai lifted one of the Spirit Cores and let it float between his fingers.
“We’ll do things differently from the Kalingoot Supres,” he continued. “I won’t plant these cores directly inside your Dantian.”
He tapped his own lower abdon with a finger.
“Instead, I’ll use Heretic Dao principles to split your Dantian into two sections. One section will remain yours, clean and untouched. The borrowed Spirit Core will stay in the second section, which will sowhat work like a second Dantian.”
Jina’s breathing slowed as she listened. Even these words from Aksai had put most of her worries to rest but she still wanted to know more. Aksai’s voice remained neutral as he spoke further.
“When you beco a true Core Formation Lord one day, that second section will collapse on its own. At that ti, the borrowed Spirit Core will be pushed out. It won’t rge with you. It won’t stain your foundation.”
Naisha’s eyes lit up with surprise. Jina felt a tight knot in her chest loosen at this point.
“This way,” Aksai went on, “you won’t have to give up your future or ruin your potential by using soone else’s Spirit Core that isn’t fully compatible with you.”
He paused for a mont, then added with a grin, “In fact, I reckon this will actually raise your chances of becoming true Lords.”
Jina looked at him in disbelief.
“Raise… our chances?” she asked softly. “How?”
Aksai smirked and continued.
“You’ll get used to handling third-order Spirit essence. You’ll be able to cast third-order Spirit Spells. You’ll have real Core Formation power to rely on.”
His eyes grew a bit sharper.
“And when the ti cos for your third-order breakthrough tribulation, you won’t be as helpless as the rest of the Foundation Establishnt Perfectionists. You’ll be able to defend yourselves during the Dejection Demon test, the Pain Penance, and even the Celestial Wrath using the power of the Lords.”
Jina’s heart started to beat faster.
“That alone can an life or death,” Aksai said plainly.
“With the Heretic Dao principles, becoming pseudo Core Formation Lords is not only not harmful but also a much easier way to reach true Lordship. Think of it like this. You’re gaining work experience before the real appointnt.”
