Among them, the Fire-support-type City launched a massive volley of Smoke Shells to obscure the view of the Tomorrow Alliance’s forces.
As for that Level 3 Assault-type Mobile City, it activated its City Camouflage and Signal-Blocking Device, vanishing without a trace.
Li Ye picked up the walkie-talkie and spoke in a deep voice.
“Open fire!”
At the command, the Zhenlang-class Destroyer and Flight III-class Destroyer unleashed thunderous roars from their vertical launch units. A barrage of anti-air missiles and cruise missiles lifted off, trailing orange-red plus behind them.
The triple torpedo launch tubes mounted on the destroyers' flanks slowly rotated toward their targets. As the fire control officer pressed the launch button, high-pressure gas expelled three torpedoes from the tubes. Upon hitting the water, they imdiately corrected their posture and surged forward, leaving faint blue trails behind.
At the sa ti, the Peacemaker began its first wave of suppressive bombardnt.
On its deck, the black artillery barrels pointed forward like a forest of spears.

The hull’s armor was cleaved like butter. The armor-piercing blast detonated a fireball inside the vessel, and the shockwave tore wildly through corridors and cabins.
As the bombardnt ended, the Peacemaker launched a round of smoke shells to conceal itself, and began reloading for a new barrage.
High above, the aerial battle between both sides' warplanes had begun in earnest.
The iron-grey clouds were shredded by the roar of engines. Human and Ghoul aircraft collided like two flocks of tallic raptors at ten thousand ters altitude.
The Peregrine Falcon fighters dove in a wedge formation into the enemy ranks, their thrusters carving countless white spirals in the clouds.
The sparks of missile explosions blood repeatedly among the clouds. Chaff and flares painted bizarre blue blossoms against the azure sky.
Amidst the swirling smoke, the enemy’s three Level 1 Mobile Cities erged.
Awaiting them were the Starshine and the Iron Whale.
While giving commands, Li Ye’s gaze was fixed on the enemy fleet.
“It’s your turn now,” he said softly.
Beneath the waves, several chanical Squids were stealthily swimming forward.
Before the enemy fleet realized it, one of the chanical Squids burst from the water like a nightmare.
Its eight tentacles coiled around a destroyer like giant pythons, each joint groaning with a harsh tallic screech driven by hydraulics.
The inner side of the tentacles was lined with retractable, serrated suction pads that clamped tightly onto the ship’s hull. The longest two limbs extended special chanical Clamps, latching viciously onto the destroyer’s vertical missile launchers on the bridge.
With a grating screech of deforming tal, the missile launcher was torn open like tinfoil. Exposed wiring erupted in dazzling electric sparks.
Beneath the murky sea, the chanical Squid’s head armor peeled open like flower petals, revealing a double-layered beak-like mouthpart.
Its outer layer was a high-speed rotating drill, while the inner layer was a tube spraying high-pressure acid.
Under the pilot’s control, the mouthpart locked onto the underside of the destroyer’s hull. The drill bit spun at thousands of revolutions per second, gnawing into the tal.
anwhile, the tube injected massive quantities of high-pressure acid into the hull.
The destroyer’s bottom collapsed with a thunderous crash. Amid multiple ear-splitting tallic tears, the ship’s keel split in half — like a cookie crushed by a bite.
