With several loud booms, the four Light Cannons aboard the Vanguard fired simultaneously.
The muzzles of these four Light Cannons erupted with dazzling brilliance, like a small asteroid suddenly unleashed.
At the center of the enemy's formation, a blinding light burst upward in an instant, as if the sun had plunged into the horizon.
A massive explosion and shockwave followed closely behind, churning the earth into surging waves of soil.
A Predatory City and caravan located at the epicenter were instantly carbonized and twisted, reduced to charred wreckage in the blink of an eye. Slightly farther away, other Predatory Cities and caravans had their outer armor scorched red-hot in an instant, billowing with thick smoke.

"So strong!" A hint of surprise appeared in Li Ye's eyes.
He hadn’t expected that the Light Cannons would gain in power the more of them fired together.
With this, the formation might be able to hold.
【Vanguard: The next round of fire support will arrive in 10 minutes. The Light Cannons deal trendous damage, but suffer from severe barrel overheating after firing and require cooling. Echo, are your cannons ready?】
【Echo: Cannons are ready, fire support incoming.】

【Tomorrow: Two enemies approaching from the front, engagent imminent.】

A few seconds later, the city bunker where Vanguard was located was engulfed by overwhelming artillery fire.
Li Ye had no ti to react, because the enemy had already arrived.
Tower and Sun.
As a defensive-type city, Tower pushed forward through the barrage and gradually accelerated toward Tomorrow.
Sun followed close behind, adjusting its cannons and deploying its caravan, preparing for an attack.
"500 ters, 400 ters, 300 ters......" Lin Xia on the Watchtower shouted urgently. "Enemy Predatory City is about to collide with our forces, prepare for Mobile Evasion!"
At the mont Tower was about to strike, Tomorrow locked its left treads and pushed full speed on the right. The entire Mobile City drifted sideways in a daring maneuver, narrowly dodging Tower's charge.
Tower then plunged forward uncontrollably. Due to the inertia from accelerating, it couldn't turn quickly to pursue and ended up exposing its flank and rear to Tomorrow.
"Fire!" Li Ye gave a sharp wave of his hand.
In an instant, a storm of firepower from Tomorrow rained down on Tower.
A dense barrage of shells pelted Tower like a teor shower.
Explosions blood continuously across its thick armor plates, shockwaves rippling through the steel fra, making the city structures tremble.
Yet after the smoke cleared, only scorched craters and minor dents marred Tower's armor.
Level 2 City Armor – Shelterer.
Its thick composite armor plates and sloped design absorbed most of the shells' kinetic force and firepower. The only weapon capable of truly inflicting damage was the Lava Cannon.
However, even the devastating Lava Shells rely tore open parts of the armor plates, revealing the honeycomb-like buffer structure beneath. The deeper core compartnts remained intact and unscathed.
Unlike assault-type cities, defensive-type cities had few—if any—cannons and Heavy Machine Guns mounted on their armor. Their purpose was to breach enemy lines and soak up enemy fire.
And their strongest weapon was themselves.
Relying on its own imnse power, Tower could gradually accelerate during battle and smash into enemies like a massive projectile.
Its City Armor could withstand impacts, but any enemy Mobile City it collided with would be destroyed and collapse.
While Tomorrow maneuvered evasively to tangle with Tower, Sun opened fire with its cannons and advanced its caravan.
As he ordered the armor crew to take ergency evasive action, a cold sneer appeared at the corner of Li Ye’s mouth.
"You think I can't strike back just because my companion is holding off?"
The next second, a vehicle charged directly toward Sun’s caravan.
It was the Storm Infantry Vehicle.
This Level 2 vehicle surged forward against the dense firepower and opened fire at the enemy.
One Off-road Vehicle after another was riddled by the Stinger Autocannon, their fuel tanks igniting into exploding fireballs.
The Storm Infantry Vehicle swept through the enemy caravan with unstoppable force.
Clearing the path, Tomorrow’s Convoy One and Two advanced toward Sun.
With its caravan nearly annihilated, Sun lost this natural barrier at its front and now appeared dangerously vulnerable.
Watching the enemy drawing closer, the Lord of Sun twitched.
"Fire! Fire!" he roared hoarsely.
Cannons and Heavy Machine Guns aboard Sun imdiately opened up, wildly bombarding and strafing the approaching convoys.
Convoy One suffered severe damage in an instant and was forced to retreat. Convoy Two, however, used serpentine maneuvers to weave through wave after wave of gunfire and finally reached the underside of Sun.
As the fighters in the convoy pulled their triggers, several Gale Rocket Launchers fired simultaneously, and explosions rippled across the wheel treads on Sun's flank.
anwhile, the Storm Infantry Vehicle launched light missiles in succession from the other side.
Amid the continuous explosions, Sun’s speed gradually slowed, and its Lord grew increasingly pale.
"No, no..." he murmured.
As he prayed in near despair, Sun ca to a halt.
"The enemy Predatory City has lost mobility!" Lin Xia called out urgently. "Location approximately 700 ters to the northwest! Prepare for bombardnt!"
Faced with a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity, Tomorrow found it difficult to seize the mont.
Tower was entangling it at close range, ramming relentlessly. Tomorrow was forced into repeated evasive maneuvers, constantly shifting direction and distance, making it hard to aim.
anwhile, to cover itself, Sun fired a large number of Smoke Shells in all directions.
Li Ye gripped the railing tightly and shouted toward one direction.
"Ning Wen!"
At that mont, the gunner Ning Wen had just finished reloading the Lava Cannon.
The violent wind stirred up by Tomorrow’s rapid evasive maneuvers whipped through the young gunner’s hair and across his cheeks.
His expression was fervent, eyes locked tightly on Sun’s position.
"I can hit it... I will hit it!"
He roared as he forcefully pulled the firing lever.
The Lava Cannon jolted violently.
A blinding tongue of fla burst from the muzzle, and the searing white explosion instantly lit up the young man’s face.
Amid the smoke, a brilliant firework blood.
