Selena glanced at Nicholas as though he’d gone mad.
She could see the news report, the body was limp as the police dragged it away.
She looked at the TV before turning her gaze back to Nicholas just to make sure they were both watching the sa thing.
"What do you an? He’s clearly dead"
"No he’s not" Nicholas replied back sternly.
"How do you know that?"
’Supervisor, I’ve been killing people for a living for twenty-one years. How would I not know that?’ He could tell saying that would instantly raise her questions which he definitely didn’t want to delve into at least not now, ’Being known as a hitman in my past life was rather convenient, at least I didn’t have to explain these things. She’ll eventually get it though’ Nicholas thought with a tired sigh.
He pointed towards the screen at the spot where the blood seed to cover the most, "The wound isn’t from a bullet. It looks like a stab wound. If it was a bullet it would pierce right through to the other side and crippled him, not kill him. At least not that quickly."
"Okay? And? A dagger is enough to kill soone isn’t it"
"Yes it is, if used correctly. The spot where the dagger was stabbed appears to be his lower back, parallel to his spine and just below his ribcage. A stab there would make it difficult to walk and could cause permanent damage depending on how deep it went. It could lead to death if the person isn’t taken for dical attention within ten to twelve hours. The report ca in at seven. He shouldn’t be dead"
Selena stared at him dumbfounded, as though he had just perford an autopsy from across the room.
"I can’t even tell what your actual powers are at this point. How could you tell so much from just a casual glance." Selena said as she turned back at the screen, "We still have to confirm if that’s true, If we get any information on the attackers, it’ll be extrely helpful. We could use that to track them down and end the killing once and for all, a lot of heroes are already getting panicked by the news"
"I’ll be glad to help." Nicholas said bluntly.
Selena turned a suspicious glance at him, "Let guess? So far you’re getting paid?"
"It seems you’re starting to understand better" Nicholas replied with a small smile.
Selena facepald, "Whatever, let’s just deal with the issue. I don’t like the way the news flying around. The heroes are panicking and the association’s credibility is taking a hit"

"Hey! Both of you! I’ve been searching for you two for days!" He was interrupted as Julie ran to a stop in front of the two, talking with running breath between words, "I’m definitely following you everywhere from now on! I missed the Tochiux! God you should’ve seen how many people stread that!" Julie yelled frantically, her rant unending.
"I haven’t gotten my pay from the last video" Nicholas casually cut her off.
Julie paused, smiling wryly, "About that... Well, I’m not verified yet, so we’ve not earned much. But rest assured, I’ll definitely pay you when I do!"
"You have to pay if you want to record ." Nicholas replied back bluntly.
"That’s not fair! I’ve only got the money from HA and it’s barely enough to do anything reasonable since I’m ranked F" Julie said pouting.
"Well you can leave it" Nicholas said back without batting an eyelid.
"Alright alright! I’ll pay you, but that ans you won’t let the other big news companies stream you?!"
Nicholas paused for a mont, "They don’t pay so you’ve got a deal"
Selena stared at him in a daze, "You earn more than she does and you still want to rip her off?"
Nicholas glanced at Selena, "I’m not ripping her off Selena, this is business"
"Gosh," Selena sighed, "You’re hopeless"
"At least not as much as you" Nicholas retorted.
Selena gritted her teeth, her eyelids twitching as she cald her annoyance, she turned to Julie, "Well, you’re in luck Julie, we were just about to go on an investigation. So you can join us"
"Aweso! Lem get my cara ready, let’s go!" Julie yelled out in excitent.
"We’ll stop by the dics first to see if what you say is right and then we’ll know what to do next." Selena said as she walked away from the group.
"Alright" Nicholas said as he followed behind her.

Julie quickly jumped hiding the cara away from Selena and laughing awkwardly as she felt Selena’s sharp gaze on her.
"I’ve turned it off" Julie said with a wry smile.
Selena let out a sigh, "Good".
"But wait! Supervisor Selena, can I keep a video of this so I can post it later when we’re done with catching the culprits?" Julie asked, popping her eyes out as she stared at Selena.
Selena stared at her for a long ti before letting out a sigh, "Whatever, just don’t cause any trouble. Let’s go find out who’s doing all of this and stop them."
Nicholas paused for a mont glancing at the news report, ’I think I already know who’s behind this’
