Now reading: Chapter 650: Principle of Flame Color Reaction... Teacher, D from A Hospital in Another World?, a Adventure novel by 加兰2020.

To change the predicant of slow and error-prone blood test delivery, there are only two thods:

1. Build another mage tower. 2. Create a spell that can directly produce blood test results.

Garrett thought for a mont, and found that the first option required too much financial strength. His first mage tower had a base price of 50,000 contribution points for a standard version, and upgrading to a high-level magic tower required another 50,000 points, totaling 100,000.

Garrett touched his mage badge. He didn’t have even 10,000 points, let alone 100,000. A C-section surgery, without considering costs, nets 400 to 500 contribution points. To save 100,000, he would need to perform 200 paid surgeries.

No, with the current agreent with the council, he would need to perform 400 surgeries... Considering all the female magicians in Nevis and the spouses of male magicians, it would take at least three to five years to gather 400 paid surgeries.

Additionally, building a mage tower in the hospital would be the second tower. Would the price increase for the second tower?

It’s hard to say...

Garrett weighed his options and realized he could only choose the second option. Choosing the second option ant a lot of work:

1. Collect all the data he could think of, such as standard potassium chloride solutions ranging from 1mmol/L to 15mmol/L, to obtain the spectral feedback for blood testing.

2. Package all the data into the spell.

3. Add an automatic comparison chanism that can compare the data with the database when a drop of blood is tested and feedback the match to the caster.

"So, how do I package these data?"

Garrett started scratching his head. When he previously researched blood testing magic, he never encountered such a thing!

At that ti, there were only four blood types, so rembering the markers was enough. But now, faced with various shades of purple, it was impossible to compare with the naked eye (or the ntal eye)...

"I feel like a programr rather than a caster..."

Garrett muttered, rolling up his sleeves to work. Regardless of how to package or compare, the first step was to collect data. And collecting data required ensuring the accuracy of the standard solution concentrations...

One for Mage Norwood, one each for Norwood’s two apprentices, and one by Garrett himself. Four solutions for cross-comparison to get the most accurate data. Given the patients’ lives, Garrett dared not slack off.

"Weigh 1.9068 grams of potassium chloride... Damn, I don’t have a scale precise to four decimal places, only to the hundredths. I’ll have to estimate..."

"Heat until constant weight, no cracking sound, cool to room temperature..."

"Dissolve in a small amount of water in a 300ml Erlenyer flask... Transfer to a 1000ml volutric flask, dilute to the mark with water, and mix well..."

"Get 1mmol/L potassium ion solution... Now, let’s make 1.1..."

Garrett worked until he was dizzy. At the next week’s eting, when the Radiant Lord asked about his progress, he blurted out:

"I found that the principle of [Blood Detection], no, [Bloodline Identification] magic seems to be similar to the fla reaction... At least, casting on potassium and sodium can trigger the sa color!"

"Oh?"

The Radiant Lord was slightly interested. Though a legendary figure, he couldn’t notice every tiny detail of magic—magic was boundless, and one person’s power was ultimately limited. He knew that burning tals with flas produced different colors, but...

The principle of [Bloodline Identification] magic is similar to this? But there’s no fla in that magic!

Garrett pulled out a vial of solution with his left hand and a chip with his right, presenting them together: "The chip shows the color when activated, and for the solution, it can be burned with a colorless fla..."

But burning on-site was not feasible. Hand-creating a thane torch to burn potassium chloride solution? Garrett admitted he wasn’t specialized in playing with fire.

Before he could look around for soone to create a fla, Archmage Byerbo waved his hand, and the test tube and chip flew over. Holding the chip with his left hand, a light screen was activated, and a colorless fla burst from his right palm...

He truly lived up to his reputation in researching [Sunfire Explosion]! Creating a fla was effortless, like playing around!

As the fla rose, the test tube cap automatically popped open, and the potassium chloride solution splashed upwards. Instantly, all twenty or so people in the office focused their gaze on the two patches of purple light.

"It’s indeed the sa..."

"The colors are identical..."

The archmages silently observed and pondered. anwhile, several second-generation disciples of the Radiant Lord standing near the entrance couldn’t help but whisper among themselves:

"Is it really the sa? Could there be slight differences that are just not visible to the naked eye?"

"It’s indeed the sa." Garrett glanced back at them, then turned to nod at Archmage Byerbo, and bowed slightly to his teacher:

"I roughly asured the wavelengths of the two lights, and they are indeed identical... This suggests that part of the principle of [Bloodline Identification] magic is similar to fla burning..."

"What do you think is the principle?"

The Radiant Lord suddenly asked. Garrett opened his mouth to answer but stopped halfway:

"I don’t know!"

"Really don’t know?"

The Radiant Lord frowned slightly. Garrett shook his head vigorously:

"Really don’t know!"

Kidding, the principle of fla color reaction is the change in electron energy levels within an atom. That is, electrons absorb energy, jump from a lower energy orbit to a higher one, then fall back, releasing the excess energy as light—

In this world, the understanding of matter has just reached atoms, not yet delving into atomic interiors. How can I be sure? How can I prove it?

What if the fundantal laws of this world differ from my previous life?

Unless I verify it myself, I won’t say a word! Not a single word! I’ll deny it to the death!

The Radiant Lord gave him a deep look and didn’t press further. He carefully observed the image on the chip’s light screen, pondered for a mont, and waved his hand. The remaining half-tube of potassium chloride reagent instantly floated to his right palm.

"[Bloodline Identification] magic..."

The legendary mage murmured, his fingertip’s magical glow silently shining and constantly changing. Garrett, sitting at the far end of the disciples’ row, watched the light expand and contract, occasionally flickering. He whispered:

"Maybe, the feel of electricity would be different...?"

The Radiant Lord suddenly raised his eyes to look at him. Garrett felt a shiver down his spine, as if he had been shocked. He braced himself and t his teacher’s gaze, but the Radiant Lord lowered his eyes again, as if in ditation—

Suddenly, a white electric light exploded from the Radiant Lord, illuminating the entire office in an instant. Garrett’s vision was filled with white; he could see nothing but the flashing current—

Teacher, don’t explode!!!
