Now reading: Chapter 669: Garrett: From now on, I will handle the certifi from A Hospital in Another World?, a Adventure novel by 加兰2020.

The High Priest was relieved that he hadn’t sent Lucia to the capital city, sparing the grand temple and even the queen herself from personally verifying her cesarean capabilities.

— It’s less embarrassing to ss up at ho than at the capital, after all.

Fortunately, even luckier was that she wasn’t tasked with delivering the queen’s baby. A mishap there could lead to irrevocable harm to the queen’s health or even her life, which would have been disastrous for the Springwater Temple!

Losing a queen isn’t as trivial as losing a queen consort—it’s not sothing you can just move past!

While secretly feeling fortunate, he quickly stepped forward and cast *[Heal Critical Wounds]* twice in succession. As the High Priest himself was casting, the effect was naturally outstanding. The bleeding stopped imdiately, though the blood pooled in the abdominal cavity was still a frightful sight, at least it wasn’t gushing out anymore.

However, even as Lucia dared not make another move, within a few minutes, as new contractions began, blood surged out again...

High Priest: "...Can you handle this or not?"

Lucia, the priestess, didn’t dare claim she could. She backed away five or six steps, instinctively hiding her hands behind her back, her face as pale as the bleeding woman.

The High Priest gave her a cold glance, but he couldn’t just leave the patient with her abdon cut open and unattended. He had to personally intervene, with a flick of his hand, he directed the flow of blood out of the abdon and cast *[Heal Critical Wounds]* twice more.

Under the watchful eyes of six or seven other priests, the uterus, peritoneum, muscles, and skin all healed back to their original uncut condition. The High Priest exhaled and swept away:

"That’s it, you handle the rest!"

With that, no one else at the Springwater Temple dared to pick up the scalpel, and the patient went through labor over and over without being able to deliver. Ultimately, under the firm supervision of Nurse Sally, she was sent to Oak Grove Clinic and placed on the operating table. Garrett frowned as soon as he handled the scalpel:

"What’s the history with this patient? Any previous surgeries?!"

Nurse Sally avoided eye contact, too afraid to speak. Lucia wasn’t there, only another female priest forced a smile and said:

"Why would there be..."

"Why wouldn’t there be? The adhesions in the pelvic cavity look like this, and you say there’s no history of surgery?" Garrett straightforwardly pointed it out to them:

"The abdominal muscles aren’t aligned properly, the peritoneum and the uterine wall are stuck together, the bladder is attached to the uterine wall—who perford the cesarean surgery?!"

As he spoke, he summoned vines, inserted them into the pelvic cavity. Flushing with saline, suctioning, a one-stop service amidst the rushing sound of water, his voice alone continuously rose:

"There’s so much residual blood in the pelvic cavity, it’s bleeding but wasn’t suctioned clean, no rinsing, just thrown a healing spell?! If this was my student, step forward, I guarantee I won’t kill him!"

Ah, this uncleaned, unrinsed, just throwing a healing spell, making the pelvic cavity a sticky ss, seems to be our esteed High Priest...

Nurse Sally really wanted to retort but dared not speak. The sa operation, in Garrett’s hands, was routine; the baby was delivered smoothly, and there was no bleeding from the placenta. Garrett even had the leisure to explain to them:

"This operation, the placenta is on the outer side, you have to be careful when cutting, avoid the placenta position... The key is the preliminary investigation, ultrasound has been done, you know what to expect, then no accidents..."

After finishing the surgery and ensuring the patient was well taken care of, Garrett finally had the ti to ask Nurse Sally what exactly had happened. This patient wasn’t sent here for no reason!

Who perford the cesarean on her?!

"This... Master Nordmark, you better not ask..." Nurse Sally stuttered. Pressed for an answer, she burst out:

"I promise it won’t happen again. Before your approval, no one will perform any such surgery on their own!"

"Was it Lucia, wasn’t it?" Garrett looked directly into her eyes. The old woman shafully averted her gaze and did not respond. Garrett calmly said:

"I don’t let her, or anyone else, perform surgeries independently, not to monopolize these skills, but because they truly aren’t qualified yet. Nurse Sally, honestly, have I ever refused to teach anyone?"

Nurse Sally sadly shook her head. Garrett’s dedication to teaching surgical skills and various dical techniques could not have been more thorough. As for Lucia, that was truly her own overest

imation of her capabilities...

Then, she heard a calm statent that exploded overhead:

"Let Lucia go back, she doesn’t need to co here anymore."

"Master Nordmark?!"

Nurse Sally lifted her head in shock, "She was just—"

"Just being overly eager for quick results? Already knows her mistake? Won’t repeat it?" Garrett asked in rapid succession. Not waiting for Nurse Sally to respond, he continued:

"I don’t want to teach her anymore, not because she’s eager for quick results, but because she puts her own fa and profit above the safety of the patients. Knowing her own limitations, she still forced herself to perform surgery—she hasn’t even led a surgery independently yet!"

Just pulling through with a hook, daring to operate directly, that’s far too bold! A system for dical training, a hierarchical system for surgeries, is it just for fun? Every rule is a lesson learned in blood, each one a foundation laid by the lives and health of patients!

His voice suddenly turned stern:

"As a healer, at any ti, the safety of the patient must co first! I will not teach anything to soone without this conviction, lest the problems she causes beco even greater!"

Nurse Sally wanted to say more but ultimately, just sighed deeply. She softened her voice, slowly saying:

"I can prevent Lucia from coming here, even restrict her from using cesarean surgery, not claiming she learned the techniques from you. But what about the others?"

"Once others have completed their training, I’ll write them a letter of certification, with my secret magic seal."

Garrett had already thought about this issue. Matters of life are not for everyone. In a previous life, there were licensing exams for practicing physicians, and in even earlier tis, there were certifications issued by the dical guilds.

So, regarding cesarean surgeries, or any future type of surgery or treatnt thod, who can practice independently and who cannot, let be the one to certify them!

Nurse Sally nodded slightly. A letter of certification marked with a secret magic seal indeed held enough evidential power for nobles and lords inviting doctors. But she still had other concerns:

"What if those people haven’t really learned, or only half-learned, and then claim to be your students in remote areas, tarnishing your reputation?"

"Oh, that." Garrett replied nonchalantly:

"When I certify a batch of students each year, I’ll just ntion it in passing in ’Arcane’ or ’Magic.’ All the major mage towers subscribe to those journals, right?"

"..."

Don’t say it so lightly!

Don’t make it sound like you can publish in top journals whenever you want!

Oh, it seems this one actually can…
