"Cirella! Wait for ! I’m coming down now!"

Garrett was both surprised and delighted. Having visited the slumbering Silver Dragon nurous tis, he had never encountered Cirella awake. She was always sleeping, deeply sleeping…

Today was truly lucky!

He shouted and ran out. Reaching the laboratory’s exterior, he grabbed a passing mage:

"Where is the entrance to the Dragon’s Lair?"

"We are not allowed in!"

The mage, busy and sweating profusely, was directing a string of floating discs, moving swiftly to transport materials. Caught by Garrett’s sudden pull, the floating discs jostled, and a pile of ores clattered to the ground.

The mage exclaid in distress, swiftly swept the ores back onto the discs with a whirlwind, and cast a Cleansing Spell to clear the residual slag from the ground, skillfully guiding the debris back onto the discs without missing a speck:

"We have a contract, no stepping into the Dragon’s Lair! These items can only be sent through the portal, which no person can pass through!"

Garrett followed him, running towards a glowing portal ahead. A line of mages weighed and recorded items, manipulating the shape of the floating discs to dump the contents into the portal:

"One Level 7 Blue Wind Sheep! Weighing 165 pounds—"

"One Level 7 Black Scale Flagfish, weighing 328 pounds—"

"A box of Aquamarine Ores, weighing 1000 pounds—"

Batch after batch of food vanished into the portal, causing slight ripples to appear. Occasionally, when sothing particularly large or heavy was deposited, the ripples beca more transparent, and continuous noises could be heard from the other side:

"Click, click—click, click—click, click—"

Such portals could transport goods but not living beings… Garrett, now sowhat knowledgeable, understood that his physical body couldn’t withstand such portals.

Perhaps so could cross, perhaps high-level spellcasters could shield themselves with magic, but that certainly didn’t include him. Maybe he would still be alive when rushing towards the portal, but what he would be on the other side was uncertain.

He glanced around and caught the site commander, Archmage Josh Pennington:

"Where is the entrance to the Dragon’s Lair?"

It was their first eting, and he had been directly teleported into the Dragon’s Lair! He must know!

"Not here!" Archmage Pennington, rarely seeing Garrett in such a hurry, smiled and watched him for a second before pointing the way:

"Go outside, first intersection turn left…"

Garrett spun around and dashed back, indeed finding another teleportation circle guarded by the manager of the Dragon’s Lair Inn. Seeing him approach, the manager waved and greeted with a smile:

"Magus Nordmark? Rest assured, we’ve been monitoring the teleportation circle these days, not allowing anyone to pass! Look, we’ve even dismantled its hub…"

Stepping into the teleportation circle, a flickering light engulfed him, and he found himself within the Dragon’s Lair. He looked up, not yet clear on his surroundings, when he shivered:

So cold!

Even his【Cold and Heat Resistance】seed barely sufficient!

Garrett knew this was due to a massive accumulation of elental forces, different from the usual cold temperatures. He tapped his space bag and pulled out a pendant—a welco gift from 【Ti-Space Barrier】—and in a flash, triggered【Elental Endurance】.

Mist enveloped him, chilling to the bone. Garrett braved through the mist for a while before seeing a huge Silver Dragon in front of him, burying her head into a pile of food, feasting heartily.

"Cirella!"

Garrett called out joyfully. The Silver Dragon lifted her neck to glance at him, then looked around in confusion. Suddenly, she took a deep breath, and the surrounding cold mist, like a whale sucking water, disappeared into her belly.

Perhaps this was an elental protection during the Dragon race’s advancent period? With this, ordinary enemies couldn’t even touch her.

Garrett speculated. Cirella then buried her head back into the food, munching away and murmuring indistinctly:

"Find a spot to sit, wait for to eat a bit… Hmm, so hungry…"

Opening her vast jaws, she swallowed a sheep in one bite. After a few chews, she swallowed with her neck bulging slightly, then bit into a fish as long as a human, which vanished in an instant…

At this mont, it was best not to approach Cirella. Garrett silently concluded:

Not because he feared she might devour him in her hunger, but rather because he feared the remnants that might fly out while she chewed…

Given the force of her chewing, even if it were just remnants, he would need a Mage’s Armor to withstand it…

Garrett obediently found a spot not far from the food pile, only then clearly seeing the brilliance of the Silver Dragon’s scales, radiant like snow and silver, even brighter than when he first saw her.

Observing more closely, he realized how emaciated Cirella currently was:

Below her neck, the ribs on her chest were distinctly visible. Her agile front paws and powerful hind paws were tightly drawn in, revealing the clear outline of tendons, bones, and muscles.

—She was skin and bones…

Having only eaten a few tis during her half-year slumber, whether her drinking could sustain her tabolic needs was questionable.

Not to ntion, with so much growth during the slumber, the necessary nutrients couldn’t co from food but had to co from her own body.

Eat, keep eating, eat quickly!

He tiptoed to examine the large pile of food in front of her. Cirella ate quickly, and the mages weren’t slow either, pouring down like a factory’s hopper, whooshing through the portal.

In just a mont, the food in front of Cirella had piled up into a small mountain over two ters high. As the food poured down, ores and magic crystals rolled down, shining brightly on the ground…

If it were a normal ti, these shiny things would be picked up by Cirella to line her nest, Garrett thought. Watching Cirella, she bit into magical beast at, ores, and magic crystals, crunching them down in big bites.

As she ate, she blissfully squinted her eyes, clearly enjoying these delicacies, which ordinary humans couldn’t partake in, perfectly suited to replenish her desperately needed energy.

Garrett carefully observed for a while, then summoned a Mage’s Hand, grunting as he dragged a large bird out of the food pile.

This bird, with distinctly colorful feathers, looked splendid. Most importantly, it was only the size of a pheasant, manageable for Garrett. If it were a whole pig, or a sheep, or sothing larger, then forget it, Bernard wasn’t here today.

The Silver Dragon looked sideways and, seeing it was him, showed no reaction and continued to eat. Garrett dragged the bird back several steps and set up a large pot, lighting a fierce fire beneath it:

Boil the water, scald, pluck feathers, open the belly…

"Cirella, do you want it boiled or roasted?"

"Either is fine! Hmm… crunch, crunch…"

Garrett couldn’t help but chuckle. Cirella was genuinely not picky about her food; as long as it tasted good, any thod or flavor would do. Today, he’d make sothing she hadn’t tried before!

He dumped the boiling water, replaced it with fresh, cut the bird into evenly sized pieces, added slices of ginger and Sichuan peppercorns, poured in wine, blanched it briefly, then rinsed it with cold water to drain and set aside;

Peel the potatoes, cut them into chunks, prepare the onions in chunks;

Heat oil in the pot, sauté dried chili and Sichuan peppercorns until fragrant, add ginger slices and bird pieces, stir-fry briefly, add wine, add sauce, continue stir-frying. The delicious aroma of at and various spices quickly filled the air, enchantingly spreading.

"Hmm…"

The giant dragon head of the Silver Dragon suddenly turned around. Facing Garrett, her nostrils flared, trying to sniff.

A gust of wind swept through.

Garrett’s hair flew, and his clothes fluttered forward. Below the iron pot, the burning flas twisted direction, drifting towards Cirella…

Garrett had no ti to consider these. He hastily summoned two superior Mage’s Hands, one on each side, to stabilize the pot. Then, bracing himself, he managed to stabilize his body before amplifying his voice:

"Cirella! The pot almost flipped!!!"

"I’m hungry!"

Cirella answered righteously. Garrett was speechless, unsure whether to retort. Then, he saw Cirella turn her head forward, opening her mouth, her chest and abdon expanding dramatically—

In that mont, only one thought repeated in Garrett’s mind:

Cirella Moonlight deeply inhaled.

Cirella Moonlight deeply inhaled.

Cirella Moonlight deeply inhaled…

Oh heavens, please don’t let her spray sothing!

Garrett silently prayed. Thankfully, Silver Dragons generally don’t breathe fire, maybe just cold mist or paralyzing gases. I have【Elental Endurance】on, so I should be able to withstand it…

Sand and stones flew, small to lon-sized ores and magic crystals were stirred up by her breath, swirling and vanishing into Cirella’s mouth.

This was much more efficient than her bending down to bite each one individually.

Garrett cald his mind, then moved the stove out another dozen steps before continuing his work. After stir-frying the bird pieces, he poured in

a large bottle of beer, covering the pieces completely.

First a high fla, then once boiling, a low fla, stewing…

He continued stewing until the broth thickened, carefully using a Mage’s Hand to pick up a piece. He poked it effortlessly, blew on it to cool, then tasted…

"Garrett! Don’t sneak any!"

"I’m just tasting!" Garrett hurriedly added the potatoes, stirred, and then replaced the pot lid:

"Don’t worry, when this pot is ready, I’ll wait to eat with you!"
