Bright Star City, Bright Star Island, Flowing Stars Archipelago, Earth
Omniscient P.O.V.
Well, seeing the group's reactions, she could guess what their choice would be, although she would still let them deal with the Hall's administrative branch themselves.
In the anti, she said. "The last reason for our visit is to deliver so cultivation resources for the four of you. Following the rules, only Demian and Brynhild should have received that level of resources without the corresponding contribution points, but as the saying goes: 'Rules are dead, but people are alive'. Since the two of you are his family, the Supre Elder decided to make an exception this one ti."
While sending a Void Ring full of cultivation resources to each of the Mikhailov, she felt a surge of heartache.
Not for giving those items to Demian and Bryn, as those two could maximize the effect of whatever they were given.
Seraphine and Adeliya, however, due to their lower talent, would waste a lot of those Pills and Heaven and Earth Treasures contained in the Ring.
Indeed, because so of their Main Acupoints were still locked, a portion of their dicinal power would automatically disperse.
There were no absolute rules, but most of the ti, the different Grades' absorption amount went like this: Mortal-Grade around 10%, Earth-Grade around 40%, and Heaven-Grade around 80%.
As for Immortal Seed-Grade prodigies, from the information she learned from the Supre Elder, not only should they be able to absorb 100% of the dicinal power of any Pill, but they should also be capable of purifying most, if not all, impurities from the dicinal power they absorbed from those Pills.
Of course, so people had Special Physiques that could amplify the absorption of dicinal power, even amplifying the effect of any Pill assimilated, turning that rule obsolete.
However, those Physiques were extrely rare and would generally appear on those Heaven-Grade geniuses, not on Mortal-Grade 'trash'. In other words, it would extrely rarely be a situation of 'sending charcoal during snowy weather', but instead being the cherry on top for those geniuses involved.
Under the Heavens, abundance sustained abundance, while scarcity usually led to scarcity. The two were not mutually exclusive, of course, as losing everything was not too difficult.
Gaining everything, however, was certainly much more difficult. Not impossible, mind you, but still difficult.
Philosophical debate aside, the reason why Eldoria felt pained was that so of those resources were extrely rare even in the Federation and could have been used to nurture other, more worthy, candidates.
Aside from the quantity of those cultivation Pills, which were greater than usual, sothing that the Federation had plenty of because of their low Tier, it was instead the few precious Essence Nourishing Heaven and Earth Treasures that were placed in Seraphine's and Adeliya's Rings, enough to bring those two's talents to the Peak of Earth-Grade, with a slight chance of reaching the Heaven-Grade.
Were those two worth it? 'Forget it!' Eldoria pondered, not showing anything of her internal struggle on her face. 'Let's just treat it as making a super genius happy. After all, even a thousand Peak Heaven-grade prodigies can't be compared to one Immortal-Seed Grade, so I guess it's fine. And who knows, once the kid becos a Transcendent cultivator, he'll probably be able to gain much better resources for the Federation than the ones we just gifted those two. At that ti, this investnt will be completely worth it.'
While a myriad of thoughts traversed her mind, the four Mikhailovs were busy examining the interior of their respective Void Ring. Now, if the Void Ring gifted by Sergei and Ling, or more specifically, what it contained, had surprised the four previously, the Ring in their hand completely blew their mind with the treasure troves it contained.
From armors to weapons of every kind, Jade Pill bottles, Jade boxes, Jade Scrolls, etc. A quick sweep of their Soul Sense, and they found that everything inside was Top-Grade quality.
Demian, Bryn, and Seraphine had only Tier 2 or Tier 3 items, while Adeliya had Peak Tier 1, Tier 2, and even so Tier 3 ones.
Whether it was quantity, quality, or even rarity, it was... truly overwhelming for the four who all felt like country bumpkins gaining their first pot of gold.
In reality, aside from the Foundation-Nourishing dicines, the rest were not worth much for the Federation.
rely Tier 3 resources. How could a Tier 5 Force lack those?
Seeing the four's expression of awe, Eldoria and Mikhail chuckled before the latter interjected. "With what's inside the Rings, you four should have enough resources until Core Formation. By that ti, you'll receive another batch."
Receiving so many things for 'nothing' made the four feel uncomfortable for a brief mont, prompting Demian to glance at the other three.
Noticing the look in their eyes, the young man turned back toward the two Federation higher-ups, stood up and bowed slightly, declaring solemnly. "On behalf of my family, I thank the two of you and the Federation for your care. We'll definitely do our best to protect the Federation and its people to the best of our ability."
Having said his piece, the young man sat back down, failing to notice the barely hidden infatuated expression on the mother-daughter trio's faces when they looked in his direction. Who could bla them when the young man's confident bearing was so... Attractive.
Although the rest of those present did notice, none of them said anything.
After all, why mock a few won in love? It was not as if it were sothing shaful.
Quite the opposite, as Eldoria felt that if a certain man seated beside her could look at her in the sa way those three young ladies looked at Demian, then she would be more than happy.
Unfortunately, that blockhead was too dense, so she had to give up on the idea. At least, for now. 'For Heaven's sake, now my good mood is gone. Stupid old fool!' She cursed inwardly at Mikhail.
Imdiately, the man in question suddenly felt a shiver coursing through his body out of nowhere.
Feeling bewildered, his gaze subconsciously moved toward Eldoria, who threw him a very brief resentful glare, too quick for anyone but him to catch.
'Why is she mad all of a sudden?' He wondered, completely baffled.
Having decided to ignore that blockhead, Eldoria then turned her attention back toward the four Mikhailov and declared. "Everything we do is for the Federation, so as long as you keep those feelings in your Heart, then our goal will be achieved."
Indeed, she would not lie to those four and pretend that those resources were a no-strings-attached gift. First, it would clearly be insulting to their intelligence, and second, it would lower the chance of attaining the Supre Elder's goal.
Indeed, she did not believe in the so-called 'pure selfless love', even among family. Granted, the kindness may be higher and the tolerance greater, but if you pushed too far, even the closest of kin would be reluctant to continue having any relation with you.
So wished for material gains, others simple gratitude. However, no matter what it was, nothing should be taken for granted, and that was sothing the four Mikhailovs were also very aware of.
As for the Federation gifting them so many cultivation resources? Well, Demian and the other three would not pretend to understand their motives completely, but what they could guess was one thing: for them to be loyal to the Federation.
If Demian were to be honest, no matter where he went and how many won he had, he was confident that it would not take him long before he was able to reach the top of this Cultivation World.
Of course, the cultivation environnt had to reach a certain level, but compared to others, he needed much fewer resources to reach an extrely high level.
And, it was not only himself, but also his won!
Indeed, with his Perks, no matter how low their talent, he would certainly bring them to the top alongside him.
Thus, if it were himself from a few months ago, when the only thing he knew about the cultivation world was the Danilov Family and those other disgusting Forces, then his words may have been similar, but his true thought would probably be entirely different
Taking what he needed and avoiding entanglents would be the path he would have followed.
However, after eting all those people from the Federation, like his teacher, Feng Ling, General Anrepov, Eldoria Silk, etc., his mindset had started to change.
Although they could not be considered completely selfless—and who could?—, they were truly doing their best to protect the average Joe from the Federation.
Without them, how could all those citizens he saw during his visit to the City be safe and sound when such a colossal threat like the Frost Beast Palace was waiting at their doorstep?
From what he observed so far, he felt that the Federation, or more specifically, Bright Star Island, should be a pretty good place for his family to settle down.
At least, for a while.
