Not long after, the waiter ca with the dishes.
The dishes were all Mu Yan’s favorites, including a serving of Beijing Fried Sauce Noodles she liked, accompanied by a small plate of pickles.
Qin Xi watched Lin Jiamu mix the noodles for Mu Yan and couldn’t help but say, "Handso Lin, you’re so dostic, maybe Mu Yan should make a sacrifice and just take you in?"
Lin Jiamu gave her a glare, "Can’t you stop talking even when you’re eating?"
Mu Yan also felt that Lin Jiamu was too attentive to her and said, "I can do it myself."
Lin Jiamu didn’t say a word, placed the mixed noodles next to Mu Yan, and used chopsticks to pick so of her favorite dishes into her bowl.
Mu Yan nodded in thanks.
After eating, Mu Yan checked her phone. It was already after one, wasn’t he hungry yet?
She sent him a text ssage, "Are you hungry?"
"Mu Yan, stop looking at your phone, let’s go." Qin Xi urged from ahead.
"Okay." Mu Yan quickly followed up.
Lin Jiamu drove while Qin Xi and Mu Yan sat in the back. The three of them were now heading to sing karaoke.
Mu Yan thought of a "Voice of Dreams" program that Song Cheng’an had ntioned.
"What do you guys think if I join a singing show?"
"Sure!" Qin Xi laughed, "When the ti cos, let Little King Lin arrange your music, and I’ll teach you how to sing. We’ll make you shine for sure."
"That’s better than acting," Lin Jiamu also said.
"Alright, I’ll be counting on you guys then."
At the KTV, Mu Yan saw that Jiang Jingheng hadn’t replied to her ssage nor called back, so she called him herself.
It wasn’t long before the phone was answered on the other end.
"What’s up?" he asked.
Mu Yan asked, "What do you want to eat?"
"I’m not hungry yet."
Mu Yan pressed, "Then when will you be hungry?"
"I don’t know either. I’ll call you when I’m hungry, but you seem quite concerned about ."
Mu Yan chuckled, "Who’s concerned about you? I was just asking casually. I’m busy, gotta go now."
She hung up and went straight into the private room.
At Jinxiu Court, in the villa’s living room, Jiang Jingheng lounged on the sofa, staring at his phone, a slight smile at the corner of his mouth.
It felt nice to have her worried about him for skipping one al.
Lin Jiamu and Qin Xi, being the current stars of the music scene, sang so beautifully.
Mu Yan only knew a few of Qin Xi’s songs, and she thought she did okay, but Qin Xi praised her to the skies.
It was Lin Jiamu who wasn’t so pleased, as she didn’t sing his songs.
Mu Yan couldn’t help it; the songs by male singers were too hard to sing.
Around five, Qin Xi had to leave to et up with her Brother Lu.
"Hurry up and leave!" Lin Jiamu said.
"Lin, you wait and see." Qin Xi threatened, looking at Mu Yan, "I’m off, let’s hang out next ti."
Mu Yan nodded, "Okay."
"Alright." Qin Xi grabbed her bag and left.
Mu Yan looked at the string of text ssages she sent that had no reply, frowning, wondering if his phone wasn’t with him; why was he not responding?
Lin Jiamu ca over and said, "Let’s go, ti for dinner."
Mu Yan looked up and said to him, "No, I need to head back."
"I’ll take you," he offered.
"No need, getting photographed wouldn’t be good." Mu Yan quickly rejected.
It’s not just fear of being photographed, but also fear of him finding out where she lived now and thus discovering she’s married.
Lin Jiamu nodded, "Alright, let’s leave together then."
In the elevator, Lin Jiamu suddenly said, "That thing wasn’t your fault, you don’t have to feel guilty."
Mu Yan paused briefly before understanding what he ant.
She lowered her eyes and said softly, "I’m not."
"Then why aren’t you picking up a paintbrush? There’s nothing wrong with your hands," Lin Jiamu retorted.
