Ning Shishen said without thinking, "Putting aside family ties and other distracting factors, it’s either emotions or physical attraction."
Mu Yan felt that his answer coincided with what she was thinking.
But Jiang Jingheng didn’t seem interested in her physically.
When it ca to emotions, she sotis felt he liked her, otherwise, why would he have risked himself to shield her from acid, or stand up for her repeatedly?
But then again, if he liked her, he could go a long ti without contacting her, being neither too close nor too distant.
She didn’t know what he was thinking, yet she blindly plunged into it.

Ning Shishen’s eyes darkened slightly, it seed she was troubled by love.
He asked, "Have you ever tried confessing to him? Maybe he doesn’t know."
Mu Yan shook her head, "Impossible."
"Why not?"
