Mu Yan waited for half an hour, and no one brought any food.
Not long after, Luo Yao returned, looking furious.
"That Xu Youxi is too much, right? She snatched the lunch box that was supposed to be for you. If she ate it, fine, but she threw it straight into the trash can."
Mu Yan frowned slightly; it seed this matter wouldn’t end well.
"Order takeout now."
"But you have to start shooting soon, there’s no ti to eat."
"It’s fine. After drinking the ginger tea, I’m not hungry at all. You can eat it yourself later." With that, Mu Yan went towards the director.
Luo Yao frowned slightly, hating Xu Youxi in her heart.
Isn’t she just a rich second generation? What’s with the arrogance?
She took out her phone and made a call, "Assistant Lian, I need to talk to Young Master Jiang."
The scene started filming again, and it was Mu Yan and Xu Youxi acting opposite each other.
Xu Youxi had NG after NG, not because she forgot her lines, but because she couldn’t portray Han Jia Ning’s character, and the rhythm was completely under Mu Yan’s control.
Director Zeng reminded her over and over, yet Xu Youxi just couldn’t get it right.
He said impatiently, "Alright, take a twenty-minute break."
As Xu Youxi exited the set, she overheard people discussing her.
"Mu Yan is really amazing, isn’t she? Such a scene-stealer."
"I think it’s not that Mu Yan is that amazing, but that so people’s acting is just too poor."
"Exactly, even though Mu Yan debuted later than Xu Youxi, her acting skills are leagues ahead, tsk tsk."

Xu Youxi glared at those people fiercely and went to touch up her makeup, fuming.
Just as Mu Yan was about to leave the set, the director called her over.
Director Zeng asked, "Are you intentionally targeting Xu Youxi?"
Mu Yan nodded, "She went a bit too far today."
"But by doing this, she’ll only get worse."
Mu Yan chuckled lightly, "If I don’t do this, will she stop then?"
So, why should she swallow her anger?
Director Zeng laughed despite himself, "You’re both too young, too hot-blooded."
Mu Yan apologized, "I’m sorry, Director, I’ve caused you trouble."
"Even if you poke a hole in the sky, I’d have to patch it up for you, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to explain to Old Chen."
Old Chen? Mu Yan looked at him in surprise, "Director Chen?"
Director Zeng nodded, "He knew you were going to act in this drama and specifically asked to watch over you."
Mu Yan didn’t think it was Director Chen’s intention, but rather his wife’s.
Soon after, the shooting continued.
Mu Yan no longer suppressed her co-star, but Xu Youxi was in poor form, continually NG-ing.
Director Zeng had no choice but to skip this scene and co back to it later.
Xu Youxi sat in the resting area, watching Mu Yan acting, her eyes full of anger.
She thought all her disgrace today was thanks to Mu Yan.
The assistant said in a low voice, "Youxi, this Mu Yan is so arrogant, you have to teach her a lesson."
Xu Youxi glanced at her, "What do you have in mind?"
The assistant leaned to her ear, whispering.
After listening, Xu Youxi frowned slightly, "Isn’t that too much?"
"Don’t worry, we won’t do anything to her, just a warning. Or do you want to be constantly suppressed by her?"
Xu Youxi was persuaded, "Let’s do it!"
"I’ll take care of it right away."
There was a night scene, and even though Mu Yan wasn’t feeling well, she persisted.
After all, she had wasted quite a bit of ti during the day because of her stubbornness.
After wrapping up, Mu Yan and Luo Yao walked out into the cold wind.
Winter nights were bone-chilling, and there were few people on the road.
The nearby streetlights were broken, the night was pitch-black, and the howling wind made it a bit eerie.
Mu Yan and Luo Yao quickened their pace, and suddenly, a set of footsteps approached.
The two turned back instinctively, only to have their arms grabbed and dragged back.
Mu Yan was startled, struggling and shouting, "What are you doing, let go of !"
