It’s rare to see Lin Jiamu once, so Mu Yan couldn’t refuse to have a al with him.
After just a couple of bites, Lin Jiamu brought up an old topic, "Did you continue seeing that psychologist from last ti?"
Mu Yan’s heart sank; she really dreaded this conversation.
She stalled by saying, "Uh, I haven’t had ti recently."
"It’s almost New Year, you haven’t got any plans, right? Trying to fool ?" Lin Jiamu looked at her with displeasure, "You’ve been getting more and more out of hand lately."
Mu Yan, "..."
Why does he sound like he’s scolding a daughter, when he’s just a few years older than her?
She sighed, "I just feel it’s useless."
"If you don’t try, how would you know it’s useless?" Lin Jiamu said seriously.
Mu Yan remained silent. Of all doctors, she was least afraid of seeing a psychologist, probably because she’d seen too many.
Knowing her reluctance, Lin Jiamu said earnestly, "I’m not forcing you, just hoping you won’t have any regrets."
"I’m fine, really, no regrets," Mu Yan replied.
Lin Jiamu, "..."
She always had a way of leaving him speechless.
His attitude suddenly turned tough, "Anyway, I’ve made the appointnt, you must go."
Mu Yan, "..."
This guy is getting more and more unreasonable.
Knowing he ant well, she had to agree.
"Alright, I’ll go see again later."
"Adjust your attitude!" Lin Jiamu reminded her.
"Yes, sir!" Mu Yan saluted him.
Lin Jiamu chuckled and then asked, "How do you plan to spend New Year this year? Still at the hospital like last year?"
"No, I’ll bring Mu Chen ho this year."
In past years, it was just her and Mu Chen, so it didn’t matter where they were, but now she had a husband, so she naturally wanted to spend it with him.
"Just the two of you would be so quiet, why not co over to my place for New Year?" Lin Jiamu suggested.
Mu Yan quickly said, "No need, you should go back to your hotown for New Year. They miss you since you haven’t been back for years. After New Year, co visit us, any ti would be fine."
Lin Jiamu nodded, not insisting.
The conversation then shifted to Qin Xi, and Lin Jiamu frowned, "I told her a long ti ago that guy with the last na Lu isn’t a good person, but she wouldn’t listen. Now she regrets it, right?"
"Won in love are all blind," Mu Yan sighed.
Lin Jiamu glared at her, "So you’d better be careful."
"Oh," Mu Yan responded quickly.
Lin Jiamu checked his phone, "We should invite Qin Xi out for a talk soon."
"Okay!" Mu Yan nodded.
Don’t be fooled by how Lin Jiamu seems dismissive of Qin Xi; he actually cares a lot about her.
After the al, Mu Yan returned to the villa.
Back in the room, she took out the gift box from her bag and placed it on the nightstand.
She was sowhat looking forward to his reaction when he saw this gift tonight. Would he be surprised?
Around six thirty, Jiang Jingheng returned.
Mu Yan had already changed into her outfit for the evening, a pink-blue dress complented by her elegant makeup, looking exquisite yet sweet.
She wore a coat over it, with her legs uncovered, looking like a fashion model.
Jiang Jingheng approached and touched her hand, saying, "Your hands are so cold, and you’re dressed so lightly."
"My body temperature is naturally lower, you know that," Mu Yan smiled. "And the car has heating too."
"No, change into a down jacket," Jiang Jingheng said firmly. "Go change out of the dress, and put on so pants."
Mu Yan knew his taste was bad, but this was for a party; she couldn’t dress too casually.
"If I embarrass you then, don’t bla ," she protested in a low voice.
Jiang Jingheng pinched her face, his lips curving, "Your presence is enough to make proud."
