The days of happiness always pass quickly. After the New Year, Jiang Jingheng returned to work, and Mu Chen moved back to the hospital.
Mu Yan stayed with him for a couple more days and then resud her own busy life.
Mu Yan’s first job after the New Year was shooting the music video for Lin Jiamu’s new song.
Lin Jiamu went back to his hotown for the holiday and brought back a lot of local specialties, stuffing Mu Yan with packages of goodies.
Mu Yan joked, "Did you raid the village like a bandit? Bringing so much food."
"My mom insisted I bring them. You know I’m not much of a cook," Lin Jiamu shrugged.
"Looks like I got lucky," Mu Yan laughed, accepting the gifts.
The the of Lin Jiamu’s new music video was first love and secret admiration.
Lin Jiamu wrote the lyrics and music himself. Mu Yan had heard him sing several tis; it was very heartfelt and lodious.
The first half of the song is relatively cheerful, giving off the full flavor of first love.
The latter half turns sad, as a rift appears between the male and female leads, drifting them apart.
A boy has liked a girl for many years, and for various reasons, he has never been able to express it verbally. But he has always stayed by her side, just wanting her to be happy.
The story opens with the male and female leads eting on a rainy day. Gradually, the boy falls for the girl but never dares to say it out loud, only silently guarding her.
Suddenly, one day, the girl finds out the boy lied to her about sothing, and they have a big fight on a rainy day, parting ways.
The boy watches the girl’s silhouette as she walks away, without offering an explanation, only the sound of his broken heart.
The shoot for the music video went very smoothly and was finished in just three days.
Although Lin Jiamu had never acted before, his acting was quite good, with almost no retakes.
This made Mu Yan joke, "Your acting is so good, it’s a sha you’re not an actor."
If not for her close relationship with Lin Jiamu, she might have thought he imrsed himself too deeply, turning fake into reality.
"I’ve lately been thinking of venturing into the film industry," Lin Jiamu replied.
Mu Yan looked at him surprised, "Really?"
"Of course, I’ve already been looking at scripts, but I haven’t decided yet."
Mu Yan laughed, "Then I’ll be waiting for the screen debut of the little pop king."
Lin Jiamu checked the ti and said, "Let’s have lunch together, and I’ll take you back afterwards."
Mu Yan shook her head, "No, I have an event to rush to this afternoon, and in a few days, I’ll have to go out to promote a new drama. When your new song is released, I’ll celebrate with you."
"Okay."
After seeing Mu Yan’s car leave, manager Xie Feng ca over and asked, "Since you like her, why not tell her?"
"You don’t understand anything," Lin Jiamu responded sowhat impatiently.
Xie Feng almost laughed out of frustration, "I don’t understand? Don’t think I don’t know the male and female leads in this song are based on you and her."
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have insisted on having Mu Yan.
Lin Jiamu didn’t refute.
Xie Feng was speechless, "When did you turn so cowardly? If you like her, boldly pursue her."
"She won’t like ," Lin Jiamu’s brows furrowed slightly.
If she really wanted to like him, she would have by now.
More importantly...he wasn’t worthy of her!
Xie Feng was too lazy to bother with him. After all, he wasn’t the one secretly in love.
After the afternoon event ended, Mu Yan returned to the hospital to accompany Mu Chen. As she exited the elevator, she saw two won causing a scene at the door of the hospital room.
"What right do you have to stop us from entering? Do you know who we are?" A woman with a plump figure shouted.
The tall, thin woman beside her yelled into the hospital room, "Chenchen, your second aunt and first aunt are here to see you. Co out quickly!"
The caretaker was unmoved, firmly blocking them at the door.
The entire corridor could hear their commotion, and it was unclear what Mu Chen’s condition was.
Mu Yan’s face darkened as she quickly walked over and said, "What are you doing?!"
