After the event ended, Mu Yan called Zhao Xiyue again, but still got the ssage "the number you’re dialing is currently on a call".
She was puzzled; it couldn’t possibly be busy the entire ti.
Could it be... she blocked her?
No way, why would Xiyue block her?
While eating out that evening, Jiang Jingheng noticed she seed preoccupied and asked, "What’s wrong?"
Mu Yan expressed her worries.
"Do you think she really blocked ?"
Jiang Jingheng looked at her intensely, "Do you care about her a lot?"
"Of course, she’s my good friend," Mu Yan replied straightforwardly.
"Then she probably didn’t," Jiang Jingheng said calmly.
"Huh?" Mu Yan looked at him, puzzled.
"Since you consider her your good friend, she has no reason not to treat you as a good friend. Otherwise, that’s her problem."
Mu Yan was amused by his matter-of-fact tone, "I’m not that great."
"In my heart, no one can compare to you," Jiang Jingheng said, looking at her, with affection flowing from his enchanting eyes as if it could drown soone.
Although she had been confessed to many tis by him, Mu Yan still felt a bit shy.
She lowered her head, and her earlier worries faded away.
Jiang Jingheng saw her attention was diverted, lowered his eyelids, and a shadow passed through his eyes.
Is Zhao Xiyue really worth all this concern?
She only needs him!
He picked up so food with his chopsticks and placed it in her bowl, saying softly, "Eat more."
"Mm, you too," Mu Yan looked at him and smiled gently.
In the bar, Song Cheng’an navigated through the crowd, his gaze sweeping across the young people dressed in vivid colors, finally landing on the woman sitting by the bar.
She walked over quickly and called out, "Xiyue."
Zhao Xiyue turned her head to look at him, her expression cool, "Brother Song."
Song Cheng’an sat down, ordered a drink, and asked, "Got sothing for late at night?"
"Can’t I call Brother Song out for a few drinks without a reason?" Zhao Xiyue smiled faintly.
Song Cheng’an glanced at her and laughed, "Of course, it’s my pleasure to drink with a beauty."
Zhao Xiyue asked seemingly casually, "I’ve always been curious. You clearly left the circle before; why did you co back in the end?"
Song Cheng’an laughed, "I ca back because I wanted to."
"Then how did you et Mu Yan? Why did you want to sign her?"
Song Cheng’an’s gaze sharpened as he looked into Zhao Xiyue’s dark eyes, and suddenly smiled, "Of course, it’s because she has talent in acting."
"That’s not the only reason, is it?" Zhao Xiyue’s lips twitched slightly, but there was no hint of a smile in her eyes, "What’s her relationship with Jing Heng?"
Song Cheng’an’s heart skipped a beat; does she know?
His brow furrowed slightly, "I know you like Jing Heng, but they..."
"You knew I liked him, yet you helped them deceive !" Zhao Xiyue’s voice suddenly rose, interrupting him.
Her beautiful eyes stared at him angrily, as if they were about to shoot fire.
Many people around looked over, surprised.
Song Cheng’an frowned slightly, "Xiyue, it was wrong of to hide this from you, but feelings can’t be forced!"
"Hah!" Zhao Xiyue sneered coldly, "Even now you’re still speaking for her. Does she have such great allure that you’re all hopelessly smitten?"
"Xiyue, I..."
"Enough!" Zhao Xiyue cut him off. She stood up, looked at him coldly, and said, "I won’t let this go!"
She finished her drink in one go, slamd the glass on the table with force, and left.
Song Cheng’an watched her back, feeling a headache coming on. What a ss this was.
He took out his phone and called Jiang Jingheng.
