Early the next day, Mu Yan was woken up by the sound of the phone ringing.
She reached out to grab the phone on the bedside table, but soone else picked it up before she could.
"Uh..." She frowned, opened her eyes, and sleepily looked at the person next to her, muttering, "Whose call is it?"
The indulgence from last night left her voice a little hoarse.
"A sales call, let’s keep sleeping." Jiang Jingheng put the phone on silent and placed it on his side.
"Mmm." Mu Yan was so sleepy at that mont that she didn’t think much of it.
She leaned towards him, closed her eyes, and continued to sleep.
But soon after, the phone rang again, this ti it was Jiang Jingheng’s.
Jiang Jingheng’s expression darkened slightly as he picked up the phone, glanced at it, and then hung up.
Mu Yan frowned and asked, "Why did you hang up too?"
"Also a sales call." He said nonchalantly.
Mu Yan closed her eyes and then suddenly opened them, asking, "What ti is it now?"
"Eight thirty."
Mu Yan’s mind began to clear, and she asked, "Who makes a sales call at eight-thirty, and besides, our phone numbers are supposed to be very confidential."
"Maybe there are so that slipped through the cracks."
Mu Yan was not convinced, she turned her head to look at him, "Give the phone."
Jiang Jingheng looked at her, a slight smile tugging at the corner of his mouth, "Don’t want to sleep?"
Mu Yan caught a signal from his eyes, and instantly, her sleepiness vanished. She tried to retreat.
Last night, he was like a wolf, devouring her thoroughly, and now she really didn’t have the energy to deal with him.
His arms wrapped around her waist, preventing her from moving. He gave a gentle pull, and she was back in his embrace.
"Stop it." She pressed her hand against his chest to prevent him from going overboard.
Jiang Jingheng gazed down at her, chuckling softly, "So do you want to sleep or not?"
"I do!" Mu Yan imdiately replied, closing her eyes at the sa ti.
Jiang Jingheng kissed her forehead and laughed, "Good girl, sleep."
With soone lurking beside her, Mu Yan had no choice but to force herself to sleep.
When she finally woke up again, it was already ten o’clock.
As usual, the spot beside her was already empty.
Mu Yan sat up, feeling like her bones were all falling apart.
Indeed, lying down was more comfortable.
She slowly got out of bed and went to the bathroom to freshen up.
When she ca out to change clothes, she imdiately saw the ss on the bed. Scattered rose petals that had been ravaged dotted the sheets, their colors rather decadent.
Her face turned red involuntarily, and after changing, she quietly pulled off the sheets and tossed them into the washing machine.
She tidied up the room a bit before heading downstairs, where she saw Song Cheng’an sitting on the living room sofa.
The sunflowers from last night were still there, brightening the entire living room even more.
She quickened her pace down the stairs, calling out, "Brother Song, good morning!"
Song Cheng’an turned to look at her, teasingly, "It’s not morning anymore."
Mu Yan felt a flash of embarrassnt on her face; it was almost eleven o’clock, not too early indeed.
Her gaze suddenly fell on the sofa behind him, and she felt a wave of discomfort; she and Jiang Jingheng were on that sofa last night...
She imdiately changed the topic, "Brother Song, did you co to find ?"
Song Cheng’an didn’t notice her discomfort and replied with a smile, "Yes, I ca to congratulate you two on your anniversary."
Mu Yan was taken aback for a mont, then asked, "Brother Song, how did you know?"
She didn’t think Jiang Jingheng would have told him about this.
Song Cheng’an looked at her with a playful expression, "With the noise you guys made last night, it was hard not to know."
