Mu Yan had a dream all night, a very long dream.
The small room was in complete disarray, with torn paintings and broken art supplies littered all over the floor.
A girl of about seventeen or eighteen sat on the bed, hugging her knees, looking utterly defeated.
A "knock knock knock" sounded at the door.
The girl looked toward the door with impatience, "I said I don’t want to eat, can you just let have so peace?"
"Yanyan, you haven’t eaten for two days now, be a good girl and open the door!" A gentle voice ca from outside the door.
"I said, I’m not eating!" the girl yelled.
"Yanyan, don’t be stubborn, everything else is a minor issue, your health is the priority."
Minor issue? The girl was infuriated by the term.
She suddenly jumped off the bed, rushed to the door, opened it, and shouted at the woman at the door, "You think getting expelled is a minor issue? People pointing and calling a thief, none of it bothers you? Are you still my mom?"
She glanced at the noodles in the woman’s hand, and with a sudden sweep of her hand, with a "bang," the bowl shattered on the floor, and the noodle soup splattered everywhere.
The woman’s face changed slightly, "Yanyan, what are you doing? That’s not what Mom ant."
"Then what do you an? You think this is a small matter? I’ve been expelled, I can’t paint anymore, do you understand?" the girl grew more frantic, almost jumping in agitation.
The woman comforted her, "Yanyan, there’s always a solution, don’t worry."
"How to solve it? Who can prove my innocence? No one, no one will help ." The girl was getting more and more upset.
"If this school doesn’t want you, we’ll find another school."
"That’s easy to say. You think just switching schools will solve it? The stain of plagiarism will follow forever, in the future... I have no future!"
The girl beca more emotional, tears streaming down her face, "You think switching schools is easy, then send abroad, once I’m overseas these concerns won’t matter."
The woman’s expression changed slightly, "Yanyan, do you really want to go abroad?"
The girl wiped her tears, sneering, "Yeah, I want to go abroad, can you afford it? You can’t afford it, so don’t bother with !"
After saying that, she slamd the door shut with a "bang."
The mont the door closed, she already regretted it, she shouldn’t have said such harsh words to Mom.
But she couldn’t control herself, no one could understand her helplessness, her sadness, she needed to vent.
The atmosphere at ho was too oppressive, so that night, she went out with her drawing board to sketch.
During this ti, Mom called her and said she would send her abroad.
She wanted to refuse, but felt awkward inside, and responded vaguely.
During this half month, she visited many places and painted many beautiful landscapes, her mood gradually cald down.
She knew she had been too harsh, Mom had raised her alone which wasn’t easy, she wanted to go ho and apologize, and she didn’t want to go abroad.
She knew Mom worked as a waitress at a nightclub, so she went there directly, intending to surprise her.
But just as she arrived at the nightclub, she heard there had been a fire.
She rushed inside in a panic, the hallway was filled with fleeing people, cries for help filling the air.
She took out her phone to call Mom, but couldn’t get through.
She had a bad feeling in her heart, she grabbed soone and asked, "Where’s my mom?"
Her mom had been working there for a long ti, and she had visited a few tis, so everyone knew her.
The person looked at her with a pained expression, "Your mom, your mom she..."
From their eyes, she read sothing and ran like crazy towards the storage room.
It wasn’t what she thought, it couldn’t be!
