In the living room, Mr. Zhuang sat on the sofa, his expression as imposing as ever, showing no signs of emotion.

The day before yesterday, Zhuang Shaoyang and Zhuang Yi had returned.
Upon returning to Beijing, Zhuang Yi went off on a mission for the army, while Zhuang Shaoyang neither went to the company nor spoke, isolating himself in his room for days.
"Mom, don’t worry. Maybe Nuannuan didn’t want to co back, and Second Uncle is upset," Ruan Xinyu consoled.
"Upset? Is it more important to be upset or to be with his daughter? If Nuannuan is angry with him, isn’t that expected? He should have been prepared!" Mrs. Zhuang grew increasingly furious.
To have her dear granddaughter stranded outside for so many years, sotis she wished she could just beat that unfilial son to death.

Ruan Xinyu didn’t reply, as it wasn’t her place as an aunt to comnt on her niece’s affairs, risking offending that mother-daughter pair.
The thought of her dear granddaughter suffering so much outside made Mrs. Zhuang unable to look at Liang Rong positively.
So, she only had the family’s elder make a symbolic call to ask Liang Rong to co ho, just for show.
"Each and every one of them is so troubleso," Mrs. Zhuang said angrily, "If they don’t go fetch Nuannuan, I will!"
As she spoke, she was about to get up.
"Sit down!" Mr. Zhuang, who had been silent all along, suddenly spoke.
Mrs. Zhuang looked at him, displeased, and said, "What are you waiting for? We’ve found our granddaughter, do you want her to continue suffering outside?"
"What if Ah Ning doesn’t want Nuannuan to co back?" Mr. Zhuang asked.
Mrs. Zhuang was taken aback, "Ah Ning she, why would she..."

He looked utterly disheveled, with a scraggly beard and ssy hair.
She had a terrible feeling, "What happened to Ah Ning?"
