Is there a guest coming? Mu Yan looked up at Old Sir Jiang and said, "If you don’t have anything else, I’ll take my leave first."
Yin Manqing was eager for her to leave quickly, her expression full of impatience, "Ah Qin, see the guest out."
Mu Yan nodded to Old Sir Jiang, turned around, and prepared to leave.
"You stay." The authoritative voice of the old man rang out.
Everyone was stunned, what did he an by keeping her?
Yin Manqing frowned slightly, "Dad, why keep her here?"
If the guest found out that Jing Heng married a minor celebrity, the Jiang Family’s face would be entirely lost.
With Qiu Shuyun, a person who thrived on chaos, her worries were likely to co true.
"What, are you questioning my decision?" Old Sir Jiang’s authoritative gaze swept over her.
Yin Manqing’s expression changed abruptly, she hurriedly said, "I wouldn’t dare."
"Dad, that’s not what Manqing ant." Jiang Zhenghong saw his wife’s fearful face and quickly stood up to speak on her behalf.
Old Sir Jiang glanced at him, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes.
Jiang Zhenghong imdiately avoided his gaze, pulled his wife to sit down, signaling her to keep quiet.
Mu Yan sensed sothing amiss and soon heard the voice of Old Sir Jiang, "Sit down."
She looked up into those sharp, authoritative eyes, hesitated for a mont, then found a seat and sat down.
As soon as she sat down, she t Yin Manqing’s resentful eyes.
She averted her gaze, pretending not to see, when she heard footsteps approaching the door.
Jiang Zhenghong saw the guest arrive, his face showing a bit of surprise and delight, he got up to greet them, "Brother Ze Yang, what brings you here?"
Mu Yan paused in the middle of her movent, turned her head towards the door, and saw Zhuang Zeyang walk in, shaking hands and patting shoulders with Jiang Zhenghong.
She frowned slightly, this was too much of a coincidence.
She turned her head away, trying to minimize her presence.
"It’s rare to co to Upper City, so I thought I’d visit the old man." Zhuang Zeyang said with a smile.
"Please co in." Jiang Zhenghong imdiately invited him.
Zhuang Zeyang nodded and walked towards the living room, looking at Old Sir Jiang with a smile, "Old Sir, how’s your health?"
"Quite well, how’s your father?"
"He’s also quite well, but he really misses his old friends like you. This ti, I’m on a business trip to Upper City, and he insisted that I co to visit you and send his regards." Zhuang Zeyang said with a smile.
"Your father is thoughtful." Old Sir Jiang nodded and said with a sigh, "I haven’t seen him for years, getting older, it’s not easy to travel."
"You’re being modest, from what I see you’re full of energy and in good health."
Old Sir Jiang’s expression beca more relaxed, evidently, Zhuang Zeyang’s words were very pleasing to him.
"Why are you standing, take a seat."
"Okay." Zhuang Zeyang sat down next to Old Sir Jiang.
The servants also brought in tea and served it.
"Try it, this is so tea I recently acquired, take so back for your father, he has a taste for this." Old Sir Jiang said.
"Alright, I’ll give it a try." Zhuang Zeyang picked up the teacup, his gaze fell on Mu Yan sitting diagonally opposite.
She had her eyes lowered, her hands on her knees, seemingly lost in thought, and there was no tea in front of her.
Noticing Zhuang Zeyang’s gaze, Qiu Shuyun’s expression shifted slightly, and she suddenly said, "Mu Yan, this is Minister Zhuang from Beijing, aren’t you going to greet him?"
Before Mu Yan could speak, she looked at Zhuang Zeyang with a smile and said, "Minister Zhuang, this is Jing Heng’s wife, from a humble background, not familiar with etiquette, please excuse her."
Zhuang Zeyang’s action of drinking tea paused, his eyebrows slightly furrowed, and a hint of displeasure appeared on his handso and authoritative face.
