Mu Yan watched Jiang Jingheng putting clothes into the suitcase, his movents carried a sense of finality, making her heart ache even more.
When she used to go out for filming for a month or two, he never acted this way. Why was he so emotional today?
Jiang Jingheng put two pieces of clothing into the suitcase before Mu Yan pulled them out. She picked two of his everyday outfits from the wardrobe, and then selected two slightly formal ones, folded them, and placed them in the suitcase.
Jiang Jingheng stood beside her, watching her busily work for him, and in that mont, half of the burden in his heart was relieved.
In no ti, everything was packed up.
Jiang Jingheng picked up the suitcase and moved it to the wall.
Mu Yan finished packing two suitcases of clothes, exhausted, and just as she was about to lie on the bed, soone grabbed her and pulled her into a warm embrace.
Leaning in his broad arms, breathing in his scent, the fatigue she felt earlier dissipated by half.
The two stood in that posture for a while, then Mu Yan suddenly asked, "Why would you think I wouldn’t co back?"
"Those are your family," Jiang Jingheng closed his eyes.
Mu Yan pursed her lips, "But you are my husband, my closest person. Do you think I could bear to leave you?"
Jiang Jingheng was montarily speechless. He knew she was right, but... even if there was a one in ten thousand chance, he would be restless.
"Stop overthinking. Let leave you, and you can find another woman, dream on!" Mu Yan let go of him and glared at him angrily.
She would never be stupid enough to throw away such a perfect husband!
Jiang Jingheng was amused by her words, "You’re right."
Unexpectedly, Mu Yan got upset, pinched his waist, and angrily said, "What do you an ’you’re right.’ You’re my husband. You’re not allowed to think about other won!"
"Alright, I won’t think about them!" Jiang Jingheng’s eyes were filled with laughter, clearly pleased by her.
Seeing him laugh made Mu Yan even more unhappy.
"You’re still laughing."
"Okay, I won’t laugh." Jiang Jingheng grabbed the hand she had placed on his waist and lifted her up, laying her on the bed.
Mu Yan lay on the bed, looking at him, and whispered, "Stop overthinking."
"Mm," Jiang Jingheng softly responded, pulling the blanket over her.
He then asked, "Do you want so honey water?"
"No, I want to sleep. You lie down quickly." Mu Yan tugged on his arm.
"Alright!" Jiang Jingheng lay down and pulled her into his embrace.
"What about the company if you go to Beijing with ?"
Jiang Jingheng looked down at the woman in his arms, her brows were furrowed, and she looked worried.
He softly said, "Don’t worry, Lian Jun is watching over the company. He’ll call if there’s sothing important."
"Won’t your family be unhappy?"
"They wish I would go to the Zhuang Family." Jiang Jingheng’s expression was indifferent.
Mu Yan was silent for a mont. Instead of feeling sorrow for Jiang Jingheng, she felt sowhat gratified.
If her identity as a Zhuang family daughter could help Jiang Jingheng regain a position, then why not?
"Alright, let’s sleep." Jiang Jingheng said.
"Mm." Mu Yan nestled closer into his arms and closed her eyes to sleep.
Jiang Jingheng watched her until she fell asleep before slowly closing his eyes.
Since she said so, then he would trust her.
The next morning, Mu Yan got up and went downstairs, only to find Zhuang Yi sitting in the living room.
When Zhuang Yi saw her coming downstairs, he imdiately stood up to greet her, "Nuannuan, good morning."
"Morning!" Mu Yan nodded at him and headed towards the dining table.
Jiang Jingheng handed her a glass of honey water; she took a sip and asked, "What ti is the flight?"
"One in the afternoon!" Zhuang Yi replied quickly.
Mu Yan glanced at him. The flight was in the afternoon, so why did he co in the morning? Was he afraid she’d run away?!
