Jiang Qin rembered what Yun Xie had told her: Cang Hong went to the Chaotic Star with his own team of bodyguards.
She quickly had Yuan Ling help her locate the others.
As it turned out, the other ten were scattered.
Three of them were in the sa place as Cang Hong. Of the other six, three were in a nearby city, while the remaining three were scattered, their positions changing daily.
’But this doesn’t really tell anything.’
Yuan Ling said, "Hold on, let see if I can find this planet’s network signal."
Not understanding any of it, Jiang Qin waited in silence.
After a good while, he finally spoke. "Found it. I’ll hack into a few accounts and check their recent ssages."
Next, a dense cluster of chat windows appeared on the screen of Yuan Ling’s device.
He went through them one by one, and Jiang Qin leaned in to get a look.
Their bodies and heads were pressed close together—so close that Yuan Ling could clearly sll her scent.
He could even feel her hair, stirred by the slightest movent, brushing gently against his shoulder.
Jiang Qin, however, was already completely absorbed in the juicy gossip.
The chat logs were just full of juicy details.
Finally, they ca across one person’s chat history with content that seed to be about Cang Hong.
A said: [This new lion is so annoying, always trying to make his presence known in front of the boss.]
B said: [I don’t know if the boss has been duped or sothing, but he trusts the guy way too much. He’s even planning to have him make the delivery.]
A: [Well, he’s got wings, doesn’t he? Born to be a delivery guy.]
B: [I was hoping to make a fortune on this delivery to the research institute. Sigh, looks like I won’t get picked this ti.]
Of course, Cang Hong wasn’t the only winged lion in the Interstellar Alliance, but for one to be on this Chaotic Star, in this city, at this particular ti—and a newcor, no less—it couldn’t all be a coincidence.
So Jiang Qin was fairly certain the lion they were talking about was Cang Hong.
They then found several more chat logs ntioning a Black-winged Lion, confirming that it was indeed Cang Hong.
Based on the chats, they surmised that Cang Hong wanted to tag along with a team of Bounty Hunters in the city to deliver a mission item to the research institute for so unknown reason.
They just didn’t know what that reason was.
Jiang Qin was worried that his Light Computer might be disabled, which would an he hadn’t received Yuan Ling’s ssage at all.
If that was the case, he would probably think she was still inside the research institute.
This was her biggest worry.
But with Yuan Ling there, the problem was easily solved. He simply forced a ssage through to everyone, expressing her concern for them.
’It couldn’t be a coincidence that *all* of their Light Computers were broken, right?’
"There. They should have all received it by now."
Jiang Qin didn’t know how she could possibly thank Yuan Ling. This sort of thing was common in the Interstellar age if you had the skills, but it was also highly illegal if you got caught.
After all, whose chat history didn’t contain a few secrets?
So this was no small favor she owed him.
She was really starting to appreciate the benefits of having a tech expert around.
Take their ho appliances, for example.
Ever since Yuan Ling moved in, he had, after getting her permission, even modified their housekeeping robot.
He had especially added extra encryption to her and Long Hao’s Light Computers.
And the Flying Car in the garage was now faster, its defense systems were more robust, and he had even changed its color to one she liked.
Jiang Qin felt she needed to calm down. Yuan Ling was about to trigger her innate hoarding instinct.
Whenever she saw sothing good, she wanted to claim it as her own.

To cool her head, Jiang Qin decided to go on an off-world expedition.
This was t with fierce opposition from Long Hao. "No way. I won’t agree to it, no matter what. You’re just worried about that singer, aren’t you? If it’s that big a deal, I’ll go myself."
"Absolutely not. You’re still injured. You’re going to stay right here on the Main Star and recover properly."
"Hmph. I don’t care. Wherever you go, I go."
Jiang Qin hesitated. She was indeed a little worried about Cang Hong.
She really wasn’t sure what his situation was, and she didn’t understand why he wanted to infiltrate the research institute.
’The research institute is so dangerous, and he has so little combat experience...’
"But you’re still hurt," she said. "I can protect myself. It shouldn’t be a problem for to go alone."
’She felt she was being too modest. After all, the Strange Beasts of Classic of Mountains and Seas she could manifest were basically all capable of instantly killing an S-level Beastman.’
Plus, Yuan Ling had made her so self-defense gadgets after she got back. She felt she now had what it took to travel on her own.
"I don’t care. Wherever you go, I go. Don’t even think about ditching to go off on an adventure by yourself.
If you absolutely have to, then send soone else. One of your other partners, or hire so Bounty Hunters."
Jiang Qin hesitated for a mont before compromising.
It wasn’t really because of Long Hao. It was mainly that she knew her partners well enough to know they would all object without her even having to ask.
So she decided not to test their patience.
So she relented, "Alright, I’ll hire so Bounty Hunters to check it out first."
The main reason was that Cang Hong’s situation didn’t seem critical; he probably had his own plan.
She was just a little worried and wanted to go provide backup.
Only then was Long Hao satisfied. "Exactly. Send soone to take a look first. Maybe he doesn’t need our help at all.
In a few days, if he still hasn’t gotten out, you can go if you want. And if you don’t want to follow, fine. Just have that Flood Dra co back and go with you."
Although he was jealous that the Flood Dra had beco Jiang Qin’s partner before he did, the Flood Dra’s power was undeniable.
"Fine."

Since she couldn’t go look for him herself, Jiang Qin could only hole up at ho, calling Yun Xie and the others every day.
"Haven’t you finished up your business yet?"
"Almost. Did our Qinqin miss us?"
Lan Yuyan, on the holographic projection, was still smiling gently. You couldn’t tell at all that his entire body was actually rigid.
Hearing this, Jiang Qin blushed and nodded honestly. "Mhm, I miss you guys a lot. Especially your warm hugs."
Even though she had Long Hao with her, the others were just as indispensable.
Hearing her words, Yun Xie didn’t know what Lan Yuyan was thinking, but he himself couldn’t wait to return to Central City imdiately.
"So when on earth will you be done and co back?"
Yun Xie’s voice, a little dry and hoarse, replied, "Soon. If everything goes smoothly, we’ll be back in a few days."
If things didn’t go smoothly, then who knew when.
He was currently spending a large amount of ti each day just preventing Fox Ear from escaping.
And no matter how much he interrogated him, Fox Ear refused to produce the antidote. Yun Xie was even beginning to suspect that Fox Ear didn’t have it at all.
