The family of seven was finally reunited at the end of October.
They raised their glasses, clinked them together, and then began to eat, hissing and panting from the spice.
Jiang Qin only had a few bites of the spicy side before obediently switching to the clear broth.
She was in her third trister and worried that eating sothing so spicy might upset her stomach, so she could only stick to the clear broth.
But the mushrooms from her small plantation were excellent in the clear broth. They were so savory it was as if her tongue would fall off.
Especially the mushrooms that had soaked up the broth; a single bite was savory, sweet, and crisp all at once.
