“That would be terribly embarrassing, wouldn’t it?”
Matthew smiled:
“I’m just joking.”
“Don’t worry.”
“With me around, no matter how chaotic the place, it’ll be fine.”
Lulu nodded vigorously.
The look she gave Matthew couldn’t help but be one of admiration:
“Matthew, you really are amazing. I’ve never seen anyone grow as quickly as you, not even the Divine Descendants.”
Matthew was quite unfazed:
“Everything has its pros and cons.”
“My strength may e from the secret aid of some great beings, and perhaps one day, I will have to shoulder more responsibility for this power. Who knows what the future holds?”
Hearing this,
Lulu’s face showed worry again:
“Then you must be careful.”
“If there is anything I can help you with, please tell me!”
Matthew responded with a smile to the Fairy Princess’s kindness.
Then Lulu began chanting the incantation that would take them to the Fairy Flower Garden.
During the wait,
Matthew suddenly noticed
that Lulu’s aura had also surged to a legendary Level!
“Eh?”
“Your domain and level, seems like you’re not far from legendary?”
Matthew was a bit surprised.
Lulu shyly lowered her head and said:
“It’s because your Sanctuary of Life has expanded so quickly, and much of the strength of the oak tree fairies es from the oak forests where we reside.”
“Now the oak forest has spread throughout the central region of the south, and your Sanctuary of Life has bee a sacred land coveted by many creatures of Aindor’s south, with prestige and status rivaling those natural dreamlands.”
“As a result, the favor from nature we oak tree fairies receive has risen alongside, well, actually I could have advanced to legendary already, but to bee legendary, I need to go to Flowerheart Fortress to accept the legendary quest from the female priest, and then successfully hold the Advancement Ritual…”
“So I haven’t gone yet.”
Though the Fairy Princess did not finish her words,
Matthew understood.
She had heard that the Fairy’s Garden was in chaos, and the state the female priest presented last time was worrying, so she dared not go.
Matthew nodded at her words:
“Then it’s perfect, we’ll make a detour to Flowerheart Fortress and pick up your Legendary Advancement quest.”
Lulu nodded vigorously.
Her little face also showed excitement.
While they were talking,
a familiar rift crack appeared on the side of the oak tree.
It was the path to the Fairy Flower Garden.
They were about to enter it as they had the last time.
But just then,
a voice quickly coughed several times before saying a bit sheepishly:
“I’m really sorry, I don’t mean to interrupt your date…”
“But, could you take me with you?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t cause any trouble, I’ll just follow you from a distance. Just pretend I don’t exist.”
Lorraine jumped out from who knows where.
From his expression, one could tell he wasn’t the least bit embarrassed.
Lulu blushed instantly, and whooshed behind Matthew’s back.
Matthew looked at Lorraine with surprise:
“What are you joining in the fun for?”
Lorraine replied confidently:
“Can I say it’s out of concern for a friend?”
Matthew said helplessly:
“Of course you can.”
Lorraine immediately beamed with joy:
“So you’ll allow me to follow and document?”
“I’m not bragging, but when a mage with a name and history is advancing to legendary, they need an excellent Bard to be the witness. Only then, can your tales and stories be better spread.”
“It’s all for your benefit.”
Matthew said seriously:
“You can follow.”
“But no reckless reporting.”
Lorraine smiled broadly:
“Of course.”
“You have to trust my integrity.”
Matthew couldn’t help but roll his eyes:
“I’d rather trust a demon’s kindness!”
However, in the end, he agreed to Lorraine’s request to follow.
It took Matthew two or three minutes to convince Lulu.
Finally, she reluctantly branded Lorraine with the mark that would allow him to travel to the Fairy’s Garden.
Five minutes later,
Matthew and Lulu entered the path first.
Lorraine followed at a distance.
Arriving in the Fairy’s Garden, seeing those towering trees reaching up to the clouds, the vivid colors immediately struck Matthew’s vision.
He could feel the Ether density around him instantly rise several levels.
No wonder the fairies here are all crazy.
For a regular spellcaster,
this might also be a suitable plane for legendary advancement.
But Matthew’s ambitions lay elsewhere.
The Fairy’s Garden was just a stepping stone on his journey.
His real destination bordered on a special Star Realm Plane—
The Arcane Wilderness!
The Arcane Wilderness is a very mysterious and strange place.
Different identities will encounter different experiences in the Arcane Wilderness.
Legendary-mages often face strong resistance and are barred from entry.
If you attempt to force your way in,
you might face a joint resistance from powerful Tree Demons lords and Evil Priest sect leaders that inhabit the land.
In this land filled with magic,
the local tyrants tend to have more advantages.
There are many stories of legendary mages who have tried to force their way into the Arcane Wilderness and ended up beaten and bloodied, retreating in embarrassment.
Interestingly,
mages from the Seven Saint Alliance usually turn a blind eye to the Arcane Wilderness.
On the one hand, this has to do with the Alliance’s years of steadfast mitment to the material world and abandonment of exploration of the astral world.
