Seeing Sarah’s na on the screen, Clara quickly answered. Getting a call from her best friend made her forget all about her squabble with Seth Quinn, and she called out cheerfully, "Sarah."
"Clara, is everything on set going smoothly?" On the other end of the line, Sarah sounded just as happy, likely from hearing her friend’s voice.
"Yeah, filming is going pretty smoothly."
"It’s been so long, and I still haven’t had ti to visit you on set. You aren’t mad at , are you?" Sarah asked a little cautiously.
"Of course I’m mad. You’re my best friend, and you haven’t even co to see . Besides, you’re on break now, so you should have plenty of ti to visit." Clara feigned a serious tone, but a mischievous, teasing smile played on her lips.
The sight made Seth burn with an irresistible urge. If she weren’t on the phone, he desperately wanted to pull her into a tight embrace and kiss her hard.

"Whoa, Clara, are you actually mad at ?" Sarah imdiately grew nervous on the other end. Her voice softened as she pleaded, "Co on, Clara, please don’t be mad. You have no idea, as soon as school let out for break, my mom forced to go on a trip abroad with her and my dad.
I just got back today! Look, I called you the second I returned. Please, Clara, just forgive this once. I’ll rush over to your film set to see you tomorrow, how about that?"
Hearing how she’d taken the bait, Clara couldn’t help but laugh out loud. "Okay, okay, I’ll stop teasing you. How could I actually be mad at you? When you didn’t co to visit, I knew you must have been tied up with sothing."
She paused, her smile turning a little unnatural. She instinctively glanced up at Seth Quinn before adding, "Actually, you don’t have to make a special trip to the set tomorrow. Because... I’m in the city right now."
Sarah nearly jumped, her voice rising in excitent. "You’re back in the city?"
"Mhm."
"Since you’re back, we have to et up! Where are you right now? At ho? I’ll co get you," Sarah said excitedly, sounding as if she was already grabbing her car keys to head out the door.
"Sarah, I’m not at ho," Clara said quickly. She stole another glance at Seth Quinn, then turned away and lowered her voice. "I’m... at Seth Quinn’s place."
She expected Sarah to freak out and start shouting, but her friend’s voice was surprisingly calm. "Oh, so you’re with your husband. Will it be hard for you to get away? Am I interrupting anything?"
Sarah’s voice was laced with mischief as she said that last part.
When Sarah said "your husband," Clara couldn’t stop herself from blushing as she glanced at Seth Quinn again. Hearing her friend’s last question, she answered quickly, "Of course not! What are you thinking?"
Seth saw her steal a glance at him, and then another. Now her face was bright red. He frowned slightly. ’What is Sarah saying to her?’
"Clara, marriage has changed you. You’re getting naughty," Sarah giggled on the other end. "I ant, did I interrupt a date, like dinner or a movie? You’re the one with your mind in the gutter, aren’t you?"
Sarah knew her friend was easily embarrassed, so she stopped teasing her. "Okay, okay, I’ll let it go. We can talk more when we et. Are you able to get away?"
"Of course!"
