Yvette Zimrman knew she was difficult to manage and ta, but she never expected her to be so blatant and speak so harshly to her. She was stunned for a long mont before coming to her senses and abruptly standing up.
"Fine, fine, fine! You’re really rebelling now! Sarah Shelby, you think too highly of yourself, don’t you? Who do you think you are? You’re just an illegitimate daughter, and your mother is a shaless howrecker!"
"Oh, now I rember. Your good friend, Clara Grant, her family—the Grant Family—was also torn apart by so slut from the outside, wasn’t it?"

This remark struck a nerve with Sarah Shelby. Sotis, when she saw how much Clara loathed Jean Jarvis and her daughter for destroying her family, she couldn’t help but think of herself.
She too was the daughter of a mistress. Although her mother hadn’t broken up soone else’s family, she was still a mistress, despised and looked down upon by society.
In truth, she was terrified that Clara would look down on her because of her background. She was even afraid that Clara’s hatred would extend to all mistresses and illegitimate daughters in the world, including her and her mother.
But she couldn’t ddle in her parents’ relationship, and it was too late for her to stop anything anyway!
Still, she always tried to comfort herself with the thought that she and her mother were different from Jean Jarvis and Chloe Grant. Jean Jarvis and her daughter had usurped another’s place and bullied them relentlessly, while her own mother had endured humiliation and swallowed her grievances!
Now, Yvette Zimrman’s blatant words made Sarah Shelby’s fingers curl slightly, her hands clenching into fists at her sides. She looked up at Yvette Zimrman. "We are not the sa. They didn’t just tear a family apart and usurp their place—they still refuse to let them go even now. But we... we didn’t do that!"
"Causing that kind of outco isn’t the only unforgivable sin," Yvette Zimrman said, then suddenly let out a scornful, contemptuous laugh. "Besides, you’d need to have the ability to do that in the first place!"
But Sarah Shelby didn’t back down an inch. Staring intently at her, she said, word by word, "If I wanted to, you’d see just what I’m capable of!"
Suddenly, Yvette Zimrman felt a flicker of fear. Although she hated to admit she was being intimidated by a girl in her twenties, she was, in fact, truly frightened.
Perhaps, subconsciously, she knew that Sarah Shelby was indeed capable of it.
She had known for a long ti that Sarah Shelby was not easy to deal with, which was why she had long wanted to "take care of" her.
Her so-called "taking care of her," of course, didn’t an killing her, but marrying her off quickly.
The family she married into would ideally be helpful to the Shelby Family, but her husband couldn’t be too outstanding.
She had ntioned the idea of marrying Sarah Shelby off to Evan Shelby many tis before, but because Evan doted on her, he always refused, using the excuse that she was still young and in school.
Now, it seed she had to put this matter back on the agenda. It could not be delayed any longer!
’Yes, as soon as I get back, I’ll have a showdown with Evan Shelby!’
After a long mont, Yvette Zimrman struggled to maintain her tough facade and said, "Sarah Shelby, don’t think you’re so tough just because you can say a few harsh words! As for Seth Quinn and that woman, don’t think I can’t find out just because you won’t talk!"
With that, she shot a hateful glare at Cherie Rhodes. "Cherie Rhodes, look at this fine daughter you’ve raised. You deal with her."
Then, without even bothering to spare the mother and daughter another glance, she stord out.
The door SLAMD shut with trendous force, making Cherie Rhodes’s whole body tremble slightly.
