Just as she was about to sink into despair, Clara looked back at her.
Her lips parted as she slowly asked, "Are you... scared of , acting like this?"
Sarah Shelby froze for a mont, then nodded eagerly. "Yes, I’m scared. I’m very scared. I’m afraid you’ll never speak to again, afraid we won’t be best friends anymore!"

"Well, since you’re scared, I guess I’ll forgive you," Clara said, tilting her head to look at her friend.
Sarah Shelby imdiately threw herself at Clara, hugging her tightly. Her eyes were red as she said, "Clara, you have no idea how terrified I was just now. I really thought you were angry with and that you wouldn’t be my friend anymore."
Clara patted her back comfortingly. "You silly goose, how could I stop being your friend? You’re my absolute best friend. We’re practically one person at this point—you’re a part of , and I’m a part of you. Abandoning you would be like cutting off a piece of myself."

"Mhm." Clara recounted what had happened in the private room at The Tuberose. After a mont’s thought, she asked, "Sarah, do you know why Seth Quinn broke off his engagent with Autumn Shelby?"
"The story is that Autumn Shelby suddenly got cold feet right before the wedding, so she ran off abroad to clear her head without saying a word. Seth Quinn gave her three months. After waiting for three months, Autumn still hadn’t co back—she didn’t even make a single phone call. So, Seth Quinn announced that the engagent was off."

Clara didn’t say anything, but inside, her heart was in turmoil again.
