"Heh," Sandra scoffed again. "Clara Grant, you really are shaless. You can twist anything you hear into a complint."
"Huh? Weren’t you complinting ?" Clara Grant looked a little surprised. "Then what did you an?"
"What I an is that you play a seductive, cheap woman who flirts with everyone so well, so perfectly. I’m afraid it’s not because your acting is good, but simply because that’s who you are in real life. You’re just being yourself, aren’t you? Pah! You piece of trash! You slut!" Sandra’s face was a mask of contempt mixed with jealousy.
The smile vanished from Clara Grant’s face. Since Sandra had resorted to such nasty words, there was no longer any need for Clara to back down as she had before.
"Is that so? Good acting ans you’re just playing yourself? So by your logic, an actor who plays a thief or a gangster well is a real thief or gangster? An actress who plays a prostitute well is a real prostitute?
"Besides, it’s a fact that I’m a good actress, isn’t it? My skills are there for everyone to see. Even soone as demanding as Director Liam Keane has praised again and again. I’m famous on set for getting my scenes in one take, aren’t I?
"But you... in your mind, is the character of Tina really just a seductive, cheap woman who flirts with everyone? Heh, no wonder you couldn’t get the part. I think Director Keane and the screenwriter made a truly wise decision to recast you. Otherwise, who knows how you would have ruined the character of Tina."
Clara Grant had always been modest. Even though Director Keane constantly praised her acting and her talent, she never got complacent, let alone used her acting skills to attack others.
But since Sandra’s words had gone this far, she would naturally use this powerful weapon to strike back.
"Clara Grant, you!" Sandra’s face went pale with rage. "You’re truly shaless! You stole my role, and you think you’re in the right? You’re even proud of it?"
Clara Grant’s expression turned serious. "I’ve already explained that I never intended to take your role. The recasting wasn’t a decision that a newcor like could make.
"And even if I did unintentionally take your role, you’ve done so much to slander and said so many things to discredit , and I’ve never held it against you. At this point, I’d say we’re even.
"If you’re still not satisfied, you can go talk to Director Keane, the screenwriter, or even the higher-ups. But I have no obligation to keep indulging this drama of yours.
"This is the last ti I will explain this matter to you. I hope you’ll conduct yourself accordingly."
But Sandra didn’t seem willing to let her go that easily. She snorted, "Clara Grant, don’t play innocent after you’ve gotten what you wanted! Everything I’ve done to you combined doesn’t even co close to the blow of you stealing my role."
Seeing that she was still fixated on it, Clara Grant felt a sense of resignation. Not wanting to get tangled up with her any longer, she sidestepped, intending to walk around her.
But Sandra blocked her again. "Oh, that’s right. I saw you throw yourself right into Actor Quinn’s arms just now. My, my, you really are shaless, aren’t you? Are you that desperate for a man? You think you’ll die if you don’t get a whiff of one for a single day?
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. The way you threw yourself into his arms... it was truly vile. Just watching it made sick."
A chill ran down Clara Grant’s spine. ’She really saw it!’
’I admit I bumped into Miles on purpose,’ she thought, ’but for Sandra to twist it like this is going way too far, isn’t it?’
