She had delivered sothing to private room 305 yesterday, so she quickly found room 306 across the hall. Clara Grant raised her hand and knocked twice. The door was ajar, and perhaps because she knocked a little too hard, it suddenly swung open on its own.
Clara Grant felt a surge of embarrassnt. She was just about to apologize when she saw the scene inside, which only mortified her further.
The main lights in the private room were off, creating an intimate but not overly dim atmosphere. The scene inside was perfectly clear.
In the spacious private room, a man sat commandingly in the center, his legs spread, with a woman entwined on his lap.
Clara Grant froze, realizing she had just walked in on sothing private.
The man and woman in the room seed to hear the commotion and both turned to look toward the door.
Startled, Clara Grant imdiately dropped her gaze, apologizing as she backed away. "I’m so sorry, so sorry. I didn’t an to interrupt. I’ll... I’ll be right out."
With that, she leaned forward, grabbing the doorknob to shut the door for them.
Seth was just about to tell the woman to get off and leave when the door suddenly swung open. He instinctively glanced over, and even before his eyes could land on the newcor’s face, he recognized her voice.
’Clara Grant?’ His brow furrowed, his gaze fixing on the woman in the doorway.
Seeing she was about to close the door and leave, he called out in a low voice, "Clara Grant!"
Clara Grant’s hand had just touched the doorknob when she heard her na—not spoken as a question, but as a firm statent.
She froze again, a slight frown creasing her brow. ’That voice... it sounds a little familiar.’
She looked up and into the room.
The man sitting there on the sofa was none other than the one she’d written off as a total scumbag—Seth Quinn.
Clara Grant was speechless. ’What is going on? How have I run into this guy so many tis in just two days? And last night, I even... with him...’
’Am I cursed?’
’Still, is this guy that insatiable? Does he need a woman every single day?’
’Why is he stopping now? Is he going to hit for interrupting his fun?’
Even if he wasn’t going to hit her, Clara Grant wanted nothing more to do with him. She shot him a single glance before turning to leave.
But soone was clearly faster. A shadow lood over her, and suddenly Seth Quinn was standing in front of her. He grabbed her hand and yanked. She staggered back several steps, finding herself inside the room.
Clara Grant gasped. Steadying herself, she looked at Seth Quinn with annoyance. "Mr. Quinn, if I interrupted you, I’m truly sorry. I didn’t do it on purpose. I’ll leave now so you can... continue."
Seth Quinn’s eyes were fixed on her, feeling the desire gradually reawakening within him. His thin lips parted as he said coolly, "We can discuss whether it was intentional later. But as for what happened last night... don’t you think we should talk?"
