But his call to Liam Keane left him disappointed again. Clara Grant hadn’t returned.
Seth Quinn pulled the car over to the side of the road. A man who normally wouldn’t flinch if a mountain collapsed before him now had worry and anxiety written all over his face.
He lit a cigarette, trying to calm himself down, but the hand holding it was trembling slightly.
’He wasn’t worried she would do sothing drastic. After all, she wasn’t that fragile.’

Linden Jennings called again, telling him to think if there was any place that held special aning for the two of them.
Although Seth hadn’t said why Clara had suddenly gone missing, Linden guessed that sothing unpleasant had happened at the Quinn residence. Perhaps Seth’s parents didn’t approve of Clara, or maybe Sarah Shelby had stirred up trouble again. Whatever the case, it had to be a misunderstanding between Clara and Seth. Had she run off in a rage?
As for won, when they were angry with their man, they always liked to run off to so old, sentintal place. Won were just that emotional.

The only problem was, their "special place" was the hotel suite where he’d saved her. So he could always find her right away. What followed was a routine of endless apologies and coaxing, capped off with his ’full-service package’ in bed until she was thoroughly convinced. After that, she’d co ho with him, all sweetness and light.
Although he and Clara Grant had also t in a hotel, Seth didn’t consider it. ’That suite is for my exclusive use; no one else can get in. Besides, there’s no way Clara would go there.’
Seth Quinn thought for a long ti but couldn’t co up with any leads. It seed they didn’t have a single, fixed place that held any special aning for them.

Seth Quinn’s eyes suddenly lit up. ’If it’s possible, that’s the only place she could be.’
He imdiately crushed the cigarette he’d barely touched into the car’s ashtray, started the engine, stepped on the gas, and sped off into the distance.
Just as he was approaching his destination, his phone rang. He glanced down and froze. Two words were flashing on the screen: My Clara. His hand jerked, and the car nearly spun out of control.
He scrambled to answer the call. A burst of noise ca from the other end, followed by a man’s voice.
"Hello, Mr. Quinn?"
With a SCREECH, Seth Quinn slamd on the brakes, stopping the car in the middle of the road. He ignored the squeal of tires and angry honks from the cars behind him. His eyes were dark, his voice dangerously low. "Who are you?"
’A thousand terrible scenarios flashed through his mind. Maybe she’d lost her phone. Maybe she’d been kidnapped. Or maybe...’
Seth Quinn didn’t dare let the thought finish. Before the man on the other end could speak, he demanded, "Why do you have her phone? What do you want? What have you done to her? I’m telling you, if you so much as touch a single hair on her head, I will make you beg for death!"
The man on the other end seed stunned for a mont before explaining, "Mr. Quinn, you’ve misunderstood. I’m a server at The Tuberose. Miss Grant is here in your private room. She’s drunk, so I called to let you know."
’So she really is there!’
The place he’d just thought of was The Tuberose. It wasn’t a particularly sentintal spot, but it was the place they’d gone to most often. It was also where he had saved her from that fat man and taken her back to the hotel.
Seth Quinn imdiately started the car again, adding, "Please look after her for . I’ll be right there."
