Seth Quinn’s lips curved into a wicked smile. Clara Grant had never seen him smile like that before. Although it looked infuriatingly smug, she couldn’t deny that when he smiled like that, he was truly... even more captivating.
"Woman, you won’t know if it’s broken until you try it."
Seth Quinn’s slightly husky voice pulled Clara Grant back to her senses. Only then did she realize she had been staring at him for so long.
Hearing him say sothing so suggestive, her face flushed red again, and she subconsciously bit her lip. Her lips were naturally crimson, and biting them made them look even more succulent and inviting.
The sight made Seth Quinn’s mind race with desire, and he grew impatient. He leaned in to kiss her, but Clara Grant pushed him away.
"Try what? We’re in a car, on a public road!"
Clara Grant’s voice was tense and exasperated. ’This man! Can’t he be a little more discreet?’
"Hmm, so you an we should try again when we get ho?"
Seth Quinn didn’t get angry at being pushed away. He simply raised a handso eyebrow, a faint smile in his eyes as he looked at her.
"Who said anything about going ho with you!"
"Oh, so you’d rather get a hotel room? That’s fine by . I have no objections."
"You!" Clara Grant was fuming. "Can you please have a single normal thought?"
"I’d say my thoughts are perfectly normal, wouldn’t you?" As he spoke, Seth Quinn took out his marriage certificate and waved it in front of her. "After all, we’re a legally married couple now. We registered today, which makes today our wedding day. Is it so wrong for a man to have these thoughts about his own wife on their wedding day?"
Seth Quinn’s words were a wake-up call for Clara Grant. She knew she had married him, but she had overlooked what marriage actually entailed.
’Since they were married, she was obligated to fulfill her wifely duties, which included sleeping with him.’
’Besides, wasn’t this the very reason Seth Quinn had gone to such great lengths to marry her in the first place?’
For so reason, the thought made Clara Grant suddenly uncomfortable. She turned awkwardly to look out the window, ignoring Seth Quinn.
Seth Quinn assud she was just shy, so he didn’t press the issue and simply started the car again.
Once the car was moving at a normal speed again, Seth Quinn spoke up. "Are you sure you don’t want to get you the female lead role?"
Maybe it was because they’d changed the subject, or maybe because Clara Grant was distracted, but she didn’t understand him at first. After a couple of seconds, it clicked. She shook her head and gave a casual shrug.
"I just wanted to test your sincerity. Now that I know you’re sincere, what’s the rush? Since I’m with you, the CEO of Aegis, I’ll have plenty of chances to play a leading role, won’t I? Besides, I actually quite like the character Tina."
There was a hint of entitlent in her words, but not only was Seth Quinn not put off by it, he nodded in all seriousness. "Okay. From now on, if you see a role you like, just tell ."
’All the scripts she could want, any role for the taking.’ Clara Grant suddenly realized that this feeling was, in fact, absolutely exhilarating!
Her mood inexplicably improved. She glanced outside and asked, "So, where are we going now?"
"Taking you back to campus first. Don’t you have two more classes today?"
"How did you know that?" Clara Grant was once again surprised. She hadn’t told him she had classes this morning.
Seth Quinn glanced at her, his voice taking on a languid tone. "A husband should know everything about his wife. What’s so strange about that?"
For so reason, hearing him use those simple yet intimate words, "husband" and "wife," made Clara Grant’s face grow warm again.
But then she seed to rember sothing. She looked at Seth Quinn and said with the utmost seriousness, "Seth, um... can we not make our marriage public for now?"
