95: Lina, Shut Up!
"You know the rest, Sister Evelia. Having completely lost hope in the Church, I chose to leave. I left the country and city I knew so well and secretly ca to Wangyou City, a place completely strange to , until I t Noren."
Lina smiled bitterly, her eyes filled with loneliness and sorrow. Clearly, reopening this wound called the past wasn't an easy thing for Lina to do.
"Umm... Lina, my condolences..."
Perhaps because the bystander sees more than the player, Evelia could clearly sense so suspicious points in Lina's past account. But seeing how sad Lina was right now, she couldn't bear to prod her any further.
"Although I don't know why that woman Jasmine suddenly wants to find again, I absolutely cannot forgive her. Not for drugging , and not for colluding with heretics to kill Father."

The rift between Lina and Jasmine was too deep. It wasn't sothing Evelia could resolve with just a few words. Therefore, until Evelia could uncover the truth behind those suspicious points, she wouldn't choose to reunite the two sisters.
Otherwise... those two would probably start fighting on the spot...
"Do you need so ti alone?"
"...No need. I'm not that weak. Honestly, if I hadn't seen Jasmine on the street today, I probably would have forgotten about this whole thing."
Lina silently wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes and revealed a sowhat heartless smile. However, Evelia knew very well that beneath this seemingly strong and stubborn smile, there was still pain.

Noren, being rubbed against by Lina, blushed and couldn't help letting out a rather cute sound. It made Lina almost lose control with lust. If she didn't still want to maintain a sowhat decent impression in front of Amya, whom she was eting for the first ti, she would probably have carried Noren straight into a room to have her way with her right now.
"Sure enough~ my master is still the cutest~ What Jasmine? What sister? I'm completely unfamiliar with them, okay?" Lina lay in Noren's arms and said playfully.
Hearing this, Evelia's lips twitched slightly. She thought that if Jasmine heard this sentence, she would probably shatter on the spot.
Although she had learned about Jasmine's glorious past from Lina, as a righteous demon, Evelia naturally understood the principle that one shouldn't listen to only one side of the story. No matter how neutral a person's attitude was, when talking about soone or sothing, they would inevitably bring so of their own subjective impressions. Therefore, although Lina showed such hatred toward Jasmine, Evelia still chose to tentatively trust Jasmine.
Setting other things aside for now, the worry and regret that flowed from Jasmine's eyes when she ntioned Lina could absolutely not be faked. The eyes are the windows to the soul, and Evelia was absolutely certain of this!
However, when there was ti next, she could go find Jasmine to chat again. At the very least, she needed to clear up those few "suspicious points" in Lina's past.
"By the way? Where are Alice and Lola? Why can't I see them?"
Suddenly, Evelia sharply noticed that the Miss Maid and Miss Elf, who should have been in the living room as well, were nowhere to be seen, so she asked with so confusion.
"Lola went to make dinner. Little Alice is currently sort of our family's maid, so she went to help out too." Noren struggled to pull herself out of Lina's embrace and replied.
"Pfft... Noren, you really treat Alice like a maid? She's a High Elf, you know~"
High Elves were always pampered, and Alice was still a young elf far from adulthood. Therefore, whether her ability in cooking and handling housework was qualified still had to be marked with a question mark.
"Don't worry, Alice learns very quickly. She's already learned quite a few dishes from Lola in these past two days~ Besides, elves' fingers are flexible enough, so naturally she's very handy at cooking!"
"Oh? Flexible fingers? Then could she possibly..."

Watching the trio's long-accustod teasing and banter, a faint smile hung on Amya's lips. Although she still felt a bit regretful that she couldn't quite join in their conversation, her fondness for Noren had already maxed out.
To say nothing else, the fact that Noren very generously told her quite a bit of information related to Evelia was enough for Amya to view her as a close friend.

Just as everyone was chatting happily together, Lola, wearing an apron and radiating wifely energy, walked out of the kitchen carrying a plate of steaming roasted at. She smiled and called out to everyone in the living room:
"My young ladies, dinner is ready~"
