Now reading: Chapter 272: Moonfall pack from A Rogue For The Quadruplet Alpha's., a Fantasy novel by wealthvera3.

Daniel.

Bloodfrost Pack had been unusually quiet lately. The kind of silence that should have been comforting, the kind that usually followed resolved conflicts and secured power, but instead, it felt hollow, empty and almost mocking.

Because while the pack thrived in peace, there was nothing peaceful about the storm raging inside .

I stood by the window of my chamber, my gaze fixed on nothing in particular, yet my thoughts running wild. Days had passed, too many days and still, there was no word from the Lycan prince.

Nothing.

No ssage. No instruction. No next move, just silence.

And it was driving insane.

I had been patient...far more patient than I usually allowed myself to be.

Waiting. Watching. Holding back.

But that patience was beginning to rot into sothing darker and sothing dangerous.

My jaw clenched as a familiar hunger crept up within , a bloodthirsty anticipation that refused to be ignored. I wanted action. I wanted chaos.

More than anything, I wanted to witness the downfall of the Quadruplets. To see everything they held crumble right before my eyes.

That alone was enough to keep standing, but just as the thought settled...

A sudden knock broke through the stillness, followed by hurried footsteps.

The door opened without delay, and an oga rushed in, slightly out of breath. He bowed his head respectfully, though I could see the urgency in his movents.

"Alpha Daniel," he began, his voice steady despite the haste. "A letter from the Moonfall Pack."

I didn’t react imdiately, instead, a faint frown crept onto my face.

That wasn’t what I had been expecting.

Not even close.

Disappointnt flickered briefly through , I had been waiting for sothing else, sothing far more important.

But then, the na echoed in my mind.

Moonfall.

My expression shifted instantly.

Moonfall... that was Noah’s pack.

"Give it to ," I ordered without hesitation, my tone sharp.

The oga stepped forward quickly, placing the letter into my outstretched hand before stepping back.

"You may leave," I added dismissively, waving him off without sparing him another glance.

The door closed behind him, and the room fell silent once more. For a brief second, I simply stared at the letter.

Then I broke the seal.

My eyes moved across the contents quickly, scanning without much thought...Until I paused.

My brows drew together slightly as the realization began to settle.

An invitation.

A wedding invitation.

My fingers tightened around the paper as my gaze darted to the nas written clearly on it.

And then, everything inside stilled.

Maria.

Noah.

The words blurred for a mont as disbelief hit like a sudden blow.

I froze.

"No... no... no..." I muttered under my breath, the words barely audible, as if saying them out loud would sohow change what I was seeing.

But it didn’t, it remained the sa, unchanged and unacceptable.

"This can’t be possible," I added, my voice tightening as anger surged through , hot and uncontrollable.

My grip on the paper tightened further, crumpling it slightly in my hand.

"You are mine, Maria," I said through clenched teeth, the words low but filled with a possessiveness I made no effort to hide.

Without another thought, I flung the letter to the ground.

It landed carelessly at my feet.

"Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!" The frustration exploded out of in a loud, raw yell, echoing through the chamber as everything I had been holding back finally began to break free.

And just then a soft flutter broke through the tension of the room.

A pigeon flew in through the open window, its wings beating steadily as it circled once before landing nearby. Tied securely to its leg was a small, folded piece of paper.

My gaze sharpened instantly.

Without wasting a second, I stepped forward and reached for it, my fingers working carefully as I untied the letter from its leg. The bird remained still, almost as if it understood the importance of its task.

I unfolded the paper slowly.

> Go to Moonfall pack imdiately, and await my orders. Those you want to get rid of the most are right there.

My eyes lingered on the words.

Once.

Twice.

Then I just stared at the paper blankly, the ssage sinking in piece by piece.

Yes... there was no denying it—I wanted the Quadruplets dead more than anything. That desire had been burning inside for far too long to ignore.

But this?

Why would the Lycan prince want to head to Moonfall Pack now?

And before the wedding?

My brows furrowed deeply as suspicion crept into my thoughts. There was sothing off about this, sothing that didn’t sit right with no matter how I looked at it.

He had been silent for days... and now this sudden order?

It didn’t add up.

My grip on the letter tightened slightly, sothing was definitely suspicious about him.

But then again...What choice did I have?

If I disobeyed... I wouldn’t receive the antidote for this month.

The thought alone made my chest tighten, a wave of frustration crashing over .

"Arrrrrrrrrghhhh! This is killing ," I muttered under my breath, dragging a hand through my hair as I paced slightly.

It felt like I was being cornered from all sides.

But then...Slowly, my thoughts began to shift.

I paused.

Because no matter how suspicious this was... there was also an opportunity hidden within it.

The Quadruplets were no longer in their territory, and that alone was rare.

A perfect opening.

A perfect mont to strike.

My breathing steadied as a darker calm settled in.

And after everything... after all of it...

Maria.

I would finally have her to myself.

Because from everything I had seen...everything that had unfolded recently...Noah had already crossed a line.

He had stepped right into the Lycan prince’s blacklist and once that happened....there was only one ending.

Death.

It was only a matter of ti.

A low laugh slipped out of , growing louder as the thought fully ford in my mind. It felt almost unreal, how perfectly everything was aligning.

Soon...Very soon...I would be free again.

The tension in my shoulders eased slightly as that certainty took root.

"Anyone out there!" I called out sharply, my voice echoing through the chamber.

"Yes, Alpha."

The oga from earlier rushed in imdiately, bowing his head as he stepped inside.

"Get the carriage ready," I ordered without hesitation, my tone firm and decisive. "We are heading to Moonfall Pack."
