NOAH.

After the vows were exchanged, I held Maria’s hands gently in mine.

Even her hands were covered beneath the red silk fabric, making almost laugh softly to myself.

Was she truly this shy?

Did she intend to cover every single part of herself until the very last mont?

The thought alone amused deeply.

A quiet chuckle escaped my lips as I glanced briefly toward her veil again. I could barely see anything beneath it, not her eyes and not her expression.

And sohow, that only made my anticipation worse.

My fingers tightened slightly around hers as I led her away from the altar.

The guests imdiately burst into cheers and celebration behind us while the ceremonial drums echoed loudly through the hall.

But amidst all the excitent, I still noticed them—The quadruplets—their faces had gone completely pale.

A smug satisfaction rose inside again at the sight. For once, they could do absolutely nothing.

Maria was officially my wife now.

Mine.

I guided her carefully toward our room while guards and servants moved respectfully aside to create a path for us.

The outside of the room had been decorated beautifully with long red ribbons and flowers hanging elegantly around the entrance.

Everything looked festive, joyful and perfect.

This was the final step.

To complete the wedding rites, we had to consummate the marriage while the guests continued celebrating outside.

The realization alone made my heartbeat quicken instantly. My free hand trembled slightly by my side despite all my attempts to stay calm.

And strangely enough, I could also feel Maria’s nervousness through her covered hands.

She was tense.

Two guards stood firmly outside the room as instructed.

I trusted no one tonight.

Especially not the quadruplets.

At this point, I genuinely felt like if I looked away carelessly, they might sohow attempt to snatch my bride from .

Ridiculous.

Yet the thought still lingered stubbornly in my mind.

The mont we stepped inside, the door clicked shut behind us softly.

Silence imdiately filled the room, warm, heavy and intimate.

Maria walked slowly toward the bed before sitting down carefully, her hands folded together neatly on her lap.

She still hadn’t spoken.

I swallowed hard.

For a mont, I simply stood there staring at her—at my wife.

Then slowly, I began walking toward her. My pulse pounded harder with every step I took.

Finally, I would get to see her face properly.

I reached forward carefully and touched the edge of her veil.

But then suddenly...

"Alpha Noah!"

The loud panicked shout shattered the atmosphere instantly.

I froze.

My brows furrowed imdiately in irritation as I let the veil fall back into place.

Who dared interrupt now?

But then recognition hit instantly.

Odion.

That voice belonged to Odion.

And I had specifically ordered him to report imdiately if anything suspicious happened.

My expression darkened at once.

A cold uneasiness crept slowly into my chest.

Did sothing actually go wrong?

The thought alone imdiately ruined the warmth building inside monts ago.

But the agin, at this mont, nothing felt more important than consummating my marriage with Maria.

And honestly, I was already irritated enough that we had been interrupted.

What if the quadruplets sohow took advantage of this distraction and slipped in here?

The thought alone annoyed deeply.

Maria would definitely curse at if that happened.

And worse—Leaving my bride alone imdiately after bringing her into our wedding room would bring unnecessary sha to her reputation.

How was she supposed to command respect as Luna in the future if people started whispering that her husband abandoned her on their wedding night?

No.

Absolutely not.

After thinking briefly, I spoke firmly toward the door.

"Not now, Odion," I said. "Co back later."

For a second, silence followed, but then odion insisted.

"Alpha, it’s very urgent," Odion replied imdiately.

My brows furrowed, as there was tension in his voice and suddenly, irritation gave way to uneasiness.

Without wasting another second, I imdiately opened the mind link between us.

"What’s the issue?" I asked coldly.

"Lady Sonia is no longer in her room," Odion responded instantly.

My heart skipped violently inside my chest.

What?

A dark feeling settled heavily within imdiately.

"Find her," I ordered sharply without hesitation.

I couldn’t allow Sonia to create problems.

Not today.

Of all the possible days she could regain consciousness, why did it have to be today?

Why my wedding day?

"We already did, Alpha," Odion replied quickly.

For a second, I nearly lost my temper completely.

If they had already found her, then why was he disturbing now?

Why interrupt at such an important mont?

"What exactly is wrong with you, Odion?" I asked irritably through the mind link, my tone already edged with impatience. "Why are you disturbing ?"

A brief silence followed my question, but it only made my irritation grow sharper.

"Forgive , Alpha..." Odion’s voice finally ca through again, but this ti it sounded strained, almost unsteady. "It’s just that...I ca too late."

My brows rose slowly in confusion.

Too late?

I repeated the words in my head, trying to make sense of them, but they refused to settle properly.

What was that supposed to an?

A strange coldness began creeping down my spine instantly, slow and unsettling, like a warning I didn’t want to acknowledge.

"What do you an by that?" I asked again, this ti more slowly, my voice dropping slightly as caution replaced irritation.

There was another pause, onger this ti.

And in that silence, my mind betrayed .

It began to fill in the gaps on its own.

Worst-case scenarios forming one after another without permission.

Dead?

The thought struck sharply.

Was Sonia dead?

No.

I shut that idea down imdiately.

If she had died, Odion would have said it outright without hesitation.

Unless...Sothing worse had happened.

My jaw tightened instantly as the unease deepened in my chest.

"Speak," I commanded sharply, my voice turning dangerously cold now, leaving no room for delay or hesitation.
